This is another reaction I couldn't miss,Cars is a childhood banger for me,as its songs are; it's my favorite Pixar movie ever,I've followed Formula 1 since I'm able to remember, every morning I used to watch Bob The Builder, with all those cool building vehicles,it simply couldn't have been otherwise. I recommend watching the sequels, yeah, the second one is a bit of a letdown, not worthy of the original, but still a lot of fun,and the main character is Mater,so it's still worth the watch. And,yes, planes are alive as well, and there are two movies about them,I'll let you guess their title. Besides the numerous racing personalities voicing themselves (Darrell Waltrip, Mario Andretti, Michael Schumacher, Dale Earnhardt Jr, and none other than Richard Petty himself), car enthusiast Jay Leno voices himself for one brief scene. The story is partly based on true events. Until the interstate system was built in the late 50s and early 60s, the Routes were the main road network. Route 66 was the most famous, and towns along it were thriving. When Interstate 40 was built, taking traffic away from Route 66, towns that were bypassed literally fell off the map.
