- Hey VT family, Today we start stage 2 of building my Jeep Cherokee XJ. We intend to add some upgrades that include axles, wheels and tires, new steering, and suspension. If everything goes well, will have the Jeep ready to hit some trails soon. In this video I talk with Danny (@trailhuntersmiami) about the new set of axles and the direction we are going with this build. I really want to do this right while keeping it within my budget. What do you think of this set of axles?
Good choice, just truss them and go with the best joints on the market. My suggestion is to go through the entire axel while you have them out. Inner seals, outer seals, ball joints, yolk oil seal, etc.
Yeah, the truss is the way to go for sure. The axles were rebuilt before I bought them so the seals, ball joints and gears seem fine. Anyways we are going to recheck everything to make sure.
Nice im Building a 89 jeep comanche conversion to o 2001 jeep Cherokee i mean everything interior motor etc it has an interior roll cage also has a Chinese front end conversion called 2500 that resembles the Grand Cherokee with prerunner style fenders and hood. And bedsides recently did upgraded axles and full Suspension with 3.73 gearing posi and rear end about 6.5 to 7.5 lift with bilstein shocks all around quick disconnect links etc it is a kind off a lime green to acid green color but im planing on doing an off frame paint job soon keep making videos man

Can you please advise me, having spacers on wheels in my cherokee xj 2000 is good or bad?
They all put some strain to the bearings and ball joints, I’ve seen people running spacers with no problems but you have to be on top of them making sure they are tight.
Also depends on the type of spacers.

bull 1985 in that condition bull you bought them and reconditioned them and got knuckles of a wj and painted them dont lie to the people !!!!
Lol believe me it was a steal, the guy was really cool, he had them for a while reconditioned them but never installed them so he sold me these.

I am not planning on going too deep with the XJ.
