Lately I’ve been contemplating the purchase of a Uninet iColor Printer. I do sublimation. Currently I use an Epson Ecotank printer. The iColor printer is a much more expensive purchase, as such I want to make an informed decision. My purpose for purchasing the printer would be strictly for its sublimation capabilities. I admire the no maintenance (no clogging) aspect of the iColor printer. Is it truly a maintenance free printer? Do all of your sublimation prints come out of the printer clear? Have you ever had blemishes or lines within the prints that come out of the printer? What are the cons of this printer as it relates to sublimation and malfunctioning? Thank you.

I would not purchase the iColor 560 if your main goal is sublimation - it's way too expensive for that (and so are the toners) and limiting in size. If you want a sublimation printer I would go with the Epson F570 www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/epson-f570-sublimation-printer.html

Yes I think that people always think sublimation is the answer...after vinyl and HTV. It has it's place..but I think it belongs more in the hard goods category and occasional garments. It should not be considered as a mainly for garments due to limitations with cotton and dark colors.

Hi there! I have a bunch of info here including what I consider the best iColor 560 bundle and what else you might need www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/uninet-icolor-560-printer-and-pro-rip.html
It prints regular paper, cardstock, and the transfers plus there are toner kits for the 560 that let you do sublimation prints (on plain copy paper not $$ sublimation paper), uv reactive fluorescent, security yellow, AND GOLD OR SILVER metallic!! It's all toners, so only seconds to switch out toner cartridges, and no messy daily maintenance pouring ink down the drain or spilling waste trays.
With the iColor 560 you can print 8.5" x 14" as the largest single size sheet, but it does come with Smartcut to allow you to split larger designs over multiple sheets.
@@SilhouetteSchool Thanks so much for replying. I'll definitely check it out. My problem is the marrying process. When I print on the rough side, the transfer ends up on the B paper, and when I do it on the smooth side, it's so hard to peel and would almost often fail. It worked once although it failed at the other end of the paper
@@SilhouetteSchool ok thank you because I’m thinking about getting this or the Roland bt12. But on the other hand, someone is using your pictures to sell their uninet on Facebook
So your saying this printer can print out all the colors at once, and I dont have to do each color 1 by 1. OMG time saver. I need this printer 911 lol.
It really depends what your needs are. WTP will not require any maintenance but the marrying process can be time consuming and tricky. DTF requires more maintenance but the post-print process is easier

Where do you purchase this unit?
Hi there! I have a bunch of info here including what I consider the best iColor 560 bundle and what else you might need www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/uninet-icolor-560-printer-and-pro-rip.html
Do you have to use this printer for white toner
You do need a white toner specific printer. There are various ones. This one is great if you're looking to take the next step for a crafting business.
@@SilhouetteSchool thank just working with a budget 😀
@@SilhouetteSchool how can one become an affiliate?
It prints regular paper, cardstock, and the transfers plus there are toner kits for the 560 that let you do sublimation prints (on plain copy paper not $$ sublimation paper), uv reactive fluorescent, security yellow, AND GOLD OR SILVER metallic!! It's all toners, so only seconds to switch out toner cartridges, and no messy daily maintenance pouring ink down the drain or spilling waste trays.
Can you buy images off etsy and print them?
Yes but I would recommend designs from www.SoFontsy.com ;)
What’s the biggest size you can print?
With the iColor 560 you can print 8.5" x 14" as the largest single size sheet, but it does come with Smartcut to allow you to split larger designs over multiple sheets.
where I can buy it
You can find my recommendations here for the best iColor 560 bundles www.silhouetteschoolblog.com/p/uninet-icolor-560-printer-and-pro-rip.html
Is there a live class for this printer? NO ONE would ever respond to my questions.
I don't know of a live class, but I have several tutorials on SilhouetteSchoolBlog.com and her on my RUclips channel.
Got mine can’t figure out how to get white ink to print please help where’s white isn’t showing
Are you using the ProRip software?
Yes I figured that part out I’m just stuck on the 2 step process when I married my image came out on wrong sheet 🙃
How can I get a design mailed to me to see how it feels on a tshirt
.??
I have silhouette. Sawgrass.
Heatpress . Mug press.
I pay for design
Unfortunately I do not offer this service.
I thought you liked this printer? Because I seen the your for sale ad in a Facebook group....is this not a good purchase?
Nope! Didn't sell it. I just did a live with it last week: facebook.com/475978372508377/videos/309713620610873
@@SilhouetteSchool ok thank you because I’m thinking about getting this or the Roland bt12. But on the other hand, someone is using your pictures to sell their uninet on Facebook
@@SilhouetteSchool forgot to add what does the texture on the uninet feel like
I just looked up the papers and they are $750 for 100 sheets!! Is that real??? Or did I look in the wrong place..??
What material are you looking at? Usually it's about $100 for 100 sheets but it depends on the material itself.
How much does the toner cost? And how many “mama” prints do you think you could get before having to replace a toner cartridge?
Manufacturer says the toner cartridges yield 7k prints at 5% coverage of the sheet
What temp for the heat press?
310 degrees!
So your saying this printer can print out all the colors at once, and I dont have to do each color 1 by 1. OMG time saver. I need this printer 911 lol.
Correct this prints the entire design in one pass.
It’s laser , prints super fast
You will need to rasterize the file otherwise the print will wash horribly. I totally want one no weeding is a plus.
You are correct that depending on the design you do need to rasterize.
What is rasterzie and what size is the paper?
Turning images into pixels
My printer takes 5 mins to print 1 design did you figure out a fix I'm ready to give up and sale this machine it has been Nothing but trouble
Are you connecting by USB?
I just got mines and it’s not printing lol could you please help?
When you say it's not printing. Are you getting an error on the printer or the software?
@@SilhouetteSchool yes, but I called UniNet and got it handled thank you!
What font is that print MAMA in?
Hi there! I apologize but we do not know.
@@SilhouetteSchool 😭😭😭 Ok
Was it anything serious for why the printer wouldn't work?
Nope! Just needed to load the material a little differently.
BTW, which one is better? White toner printer or DTF ? would appreciate your comments...
It really depends what your needs are. WTP will not require any maintenance but the marrying process can be time consuming and tricky. DTF requires more maintenance but the post-print process is easier
LOL a panic attack
need to trim the edges of the design too to avoid glue stuff on your final product, don't own one yet but have been watching others do it
I have not needed to trim and have not had any issues with rogue adhesive
@@SilhouetteSchool cool, hope you never have an issue with it
Is it true the feel like paper?
Have you done any wash test?
Yup - washes fine. Slight cracking after several wash and dries but nothing different than on store bought shirts with transfers.
Why rub to cool off? why not just wait?
Takes the heat out quicker!
I see it acts like every other printer connected to Windows... 🤣 🤣 🤣
Why I love my Mac lol
