I think 46100 has been a firm favourite of every enthusiast! I first 'met her' over 50 years ago at Bressingham, in LMS Crimson Lake. Wonder if she'll return like that? ... Thanks for sharing. Al.
@@philclarke3203 They used to make a big thing in the brochure about how much gold leaf had been used to decorate her if I remember! Ollie and DoS were there as well - together with Thundersley, the 4-4-2 tank.
Great combination of power A pair of my favourite types of locomotives. Where did the time go indeed does not seem lie 40 years since the 40's went either
Very nice indeed Phil, enjojed seeing and videoing 46100 out and about, I caught D213 today up my way not sure what it was up to, maybe route training, cheers Steve . 🎥👍
A magnificent sight and hope the old diesel is going to add a bit of shove... Shap and Beattock summit must be familiar territory for both locos...In the old days a pilot was added at Beattock for a bit of extra and no doubt necessary shove.
Shame the end coach didnt have the rampant lion on it as when it was in service I watched it travel through madeley staffs aa a toddler on a sunday morning early fifties The fireman always used to wave to us!
@@thebrummierailenthusiasts5329 Scot’s Guardsman is still Vacuum braked isn’t it? If so it’s very limited as to what it can do with regards the current availability of vacuum braked stock
Yes because steam locos can run with their current boiler ticket for 10 years And royal Scot here first ran in 2015 which is 10 years ago and now 10 years later and the boiler Certificate has now expired
This is really upsetting 😢😢😢😢😢😢😢 why is she not going to be getting a new boiler ticket as it really upsets me when I here a steam Locomotive going to die😢😢😢😢😢kinda makes me want to Cry 😢 😭 😭 😭 😭
Thanks for putting this together.
My pleasure,to be there 😀. Thanks 👍
Very enjoyable film….Thank you
Thanks Pete. My pleasure

Yes great seeing together. Frightening where the time has gone
Very good Phil. Shame the diesel had to lead, coming home! Glad now hat I didn't stop to see her leave holyhead, up the slope!
Thanks Alan. Yes, but the diesel only lead from Llandudno junction. Steam on the front from Holyhead
Oh, maybe I should have waited - but then if th 40 was "helping" up the grade it wouldn't be much!
Great stuff Phil fine departure from the station cheers Steve
Thanks Steve 👍

I was on that first trip to Holyhead (in the rain!) Is it really ten years ago? Met Pete Waterman on the footbridge.
I saw it arrive back in Crewe with a great whistle
Hope she is reboilered and back on the rails as a runner some day.
Good view Phil.👍👍
Thanks David 👍
Lovely iconic locomotive it would be fabulous to see her in LMS livery crimson lake .. as she once was ..😮
That would be good 😀
Shame to see royal Scot run for the very last time before withdrawing for an overhaul
Yes it is, but one out another back?
Nice to see them having an overhaul ready for the future of steam on main line 👍

Don't worry! It's not going to die, and will get a new boiler ticket eventually. Just going into store until they have the time.
I reckon when it comes back they should renumber it back to its original number and name. 46152 The kings dragoon guardsmen
That's a good idea. For a while at least
