tbh adaptive doesn't mean 120 hz always, all the apps that he used were 60fps capped so phone switches to 60hz automatic ,still most of the apps are capped at 60 so mostly you see 120hz in while scrolling through the system ui specially apps.
chrome ,insta , RUclips, pubg all are 60fps capped
funfact as he was not continuosly scrolling through most of the apps like chrome insta screen automatically went to 1hz at that time

S23 has adaptive refresh rate so it can stay as low as 24hz sometimes when iphone is displaying at 60hz. I'm not sure if this test gave time for a static display so this didn't take effect.

The battery improvements on the S23 are pretty dang impressive. I already have the S22+ and didn’t think it’d even be worth upgrading after just 1 year. However, the battery and performance improvements alone are pretty tempting. I remember seeing this same test last year between the iPhone 13 and S22 and the iPhone completely destroyed the S22 in terms of battery life. So it’s nice to see Samsung catching up in that regard.

@@user-kx6rp4nm2n the s23's battery endurance life is rated at 101 hrs and the s22+ is at 97 hours, thats not a big difference. The s23 only has a 3900MA batt. You'd have to go to the s23+ with 111 hrs rating so see a worthy improvement, or the s23 ultra with its insane 126hr rating.
Otherwise the s22+ is p much just as good as the s23 with a bigger screen..the performance gains aren't gonna be noticeable to the vast majority of people when the s22+ is as snappy as it is with the gen 1 chip. Screen also just as bright, and camera same specs with similar performance except a small edge with high zoom modes.
All that to say, if upgrade to the s23 youre gonna get pretty much the same real world experience as the s22+ but with a smaller screen, and maybe a bit better battery life if youre battery is already degraded. You'd wanna at minimum get the s23+ if not the s23 ultra if you want a real upgrade.

@@hak2297 I get what you're saying but personally I much prefer the form factor of the regular S22/S23. Literally the ONLY reason I got the plus in the first place was for battery life, especially with how abysmal it was on the smaller S22. But if the S23 has decent battery life and is at least somewhat better than the S22+, then that's enough of a compelling reason for me to switch. Not saying the S22+ battery was terrible, but it still wasn't the best and I was pretty disappointed considering the size and the extra $200 I had to pay. At least with the smaller S23 I wouldn't have as high expectations.

iPhone will lose a small amount less in overnight. But for some reason constant tasks cause it to drain like crazy. I work in a warehouse and will be playing podcasts for twelve hours almost constantly. Note, playing, not streaming. They are already downloaded. I can't use iPhones because no matter which ones I try, they are basically all below 10% at the end of the day, even the 14 Plus I had. Android phones will have me above 30% pretty much always, Pixel 7 is an exception. Something about low but constant usage just annihilates battery on iOS. Don't know why, but that is how it is with every iPhone I've ever used. Idle, they're great, as soon as you have any background processes running constantly, down for the count.
