They all did comparable, only 30 minutes difference, which doesn't change your life. That is very good for relatively compact phones with smaller batteries than their top-tier lineups. I have the S23 and can confirm it does warm up more than I expected, but never too hot. But relative to expectations in apps like Twitter, you can feel its warmth when I do not expect that. Google is so underrated, I got the iPhone 15 and the battery is terrible after only about 2 months of having it and the amount of times it gets so hot to even hold is crazy. Definitely gonna go back to a Google

Hi! Thanks for such a good comparison. There is only one thing I'd like to make sure (maybe I missed it from the video). Is your Pixel 8 set on the Smooth Display? It is capped at 60Hz out of the box and many other reviewers missed this point ending up saying that it has an "incredible" battery life.
Hey, thanks for all the work and it was a great job though I have to say because you use just Wi-Fi doesn’t really represent real world use as the modem on the pixel 8 is definitely inferior to the modem that are on the galaxy and the iPhone and I’m saying yes as a person who has a pixel eight, so not hating on the pixel, but these results would be a lot different. If you use data. I understand using data would be difficult. You’d have to have three of the same chips on the same carrier but that would be a real world use. This is actually testing how these phones work on Wi-Fi not realistic every day use.
They all have sim cards in there but running on WiFi. The data plans I got for the phones didn’t activate properly for some reason so I had to use WiFi. Also why most people do battery drain tests on WiFi is because indoor signal is not always the best meaning poor signal and constant buffering
@@LoverOfTech no I totally get it. Sorry if I was being negative you did a great job it’s just I have a pixel eight and I know on data. Thanks for putting in all the hard work.
Isn't running 3DMark unfair? If the scores mean nothing in this test then why let some CPUs push harder than the others? I feel like this part just punishes faster CPUs. Also 3DMark is not an app you would use daily like the others, I would replace this with an internet browsing test instead. Having said that, I think this was a really good test, awesome job sir!

@@LoverOfTech I think I will! It’s gonna be a little different to get used to it but you gotta test them out and see how it feels. If I don’t like it I can always trade it in for another apple etc. ( I can also use my iPad for FaceTime too!)
Great battery test. Were the batteries on all 3 of these phones relatively new? I know the Pixel 8 just came out just over a month ago. Were the other 2 phones batteries about the same age? Seems like the best performance I get from a new phone battery is in the first 6 or so months then its a slow decline over time.
7:20 S23 always on display kicked in for aprox. 12 min so it's not quite fair and happened also a second time at 8:17 for 2 min, so I think iphone would have come second and S23 last. You should deactivate AOD and put the screen to always stay on during the tests.🙂
There is no option to keep the screen always on for an android phone even when you go to the dev options. Try staying awake 9 hours straight doing s battery drain test, it’s not easy and like I stated there is going to be some room for error. Have a good day
@@LoverOfTech it's understandable but at least deactivate always on display so it won't happen to kick in in case of some apps. Even tough iphone probably would have won agains s23, it's a good performance considering it has a 60hz display (s23 can go down to 48hz) and smaller battery.🙂
I had sim cards in there but the data plans didn't activate properly for some reason. Also you have to understand that indoor signal strength and quality plays a factor and when the signal is not as strong there is a lot of buffering. This is why most drain test are done on WiFi and not cellular data.

Brother can you please explain me how come your s23 is showing a full charge will last upto 4 days cause my s23 shows only 23 hr ????
Ask Samsung
Great test. Just subscribed
Thanks for the sub 🤠
Bro many thanks for doing this thorough comparison much appreciated. I'm surprised this is just the Pixel 8 and not even the Pro version that took the cake!
Glad you liked the video 📸
thanks for this video good sir! doing real life battery test aint easy for sure!!
Tell me about it haha. Thanks for watching
Thanks for sharing. Interesting results. I do enjoy this kind of test. Blessings on your day!
Samsung Galaxy S23 8/256 with UFS 4.0 or 8/128 with UFS 3.1?
First! Currently watching on my S23 Ultra
Nice one ✌🏿
I bought S23 Ultra after watching your comparison and camera test videos. Thank you very much!
@edbertianabundabar3063 glad to here my videos are helping ✌🏿
Watching on my pixel 8.
I bought the S23 utra for my only son, 3.5 years old now. My wife also uses the S23 ultra and I use the Z fold 5. Currently watching this on the Z fold 5. Waiting for add the S24 ultra to my collection as well.
What was the refresh rate for samsung at the time of testing?
Thanks for doing this -- next time I would like to see how the phones do when idling, which if implemented in your tests would have allowed you to go to sleep and check them all in the morning! lol
really surprised with the pixel, i have seen so many other reviewers posting 4-5 hrs SOT. i don't understand how this managed to go that long. is it because it ran on wi fi ? i really want to buy a pixel but i am on the fence because of the battery life reports.
Pixel performs well on WiFi. I have an updated S24 vs iPhone 15 vs Pixel 8 drain test coming soon on mobile data so stay tuned
Bro which is best for camera?
What the camera comparison and see for yourself

Great video, one of the most informative I've seen for the last weeks. How would you explain the (good) performance of Pixel 8 comapred to all the negative reviews I've read about battery life since its launch?
Thanks man. Again there is no perfect test for I did all I could to be is fair and makes sense and the Pixel 8 did well.
So you did not change the adaptive refresh rate of samsung and pixel fixed to 60hz and they still outlasted apple?
Nope. Both Pixel and Samsung are using 120Hz
Google is so underrated, I got the iPhone 15 and the battery is terrible after only about 2 months of having it and the amount of times it gets so hot to even hold is crazy. Definitely gonna go back to a Google
When are the big boys of these battery comparison coming plz share. Cant wait, really optimistic about 8 pro, but that one is a really tough fight we all know. Do let us know bro. And well done 👍🏻👍🏻
This is it here. I did that first.

@@LoverOfTech oh sorry, actually I remember somewhat seeing it but in a hurry can't find it back, well thanks for reminding and keep rocking. 👍🏻 Do u think pixel 8 pro is an all day phone with all type of usage?
Appreciate the content bruv❤
Hello bro what should i buy s23+ or iPhone 13 if my priority is the camera and shooting videos or photos. Both of them are the same price (600$).
S23+
It’s not as good as my S 23 and so I’m still debating on which one the cel but hey you did a great job you know with texting it sometimes the emotion doesn’t come out but very pleased with your work. Thanks for putting in all the hard work.
So the regular pixel 8 lasted longer than the pixel 8 pro in your other test?
As it seems.

This is the updated test on Mobile Data Only. Enjoy
@@LoverOfTech thanks
Great video bro ❤
Thanks 🔥
Very useful with real day to day usage .
As usual Ben thanks for covering the peasant models as floss would say.
You bet!
✌🏿
11:22 I feel your pain :D
Thanks for the video ! Battery life is very important to me. One of the main criteria that I take into consideration when buying a new phone.

@@LoverOfTech I'll definitely have a look! Thanks.
But I think I'm going to stick with the s23. I'm not fan of the exynos processor.
This is the best channel for battery tests ❤
Thank you for this comparison video❤
You are so welcome!
Impressive test, other RUclipsrs take note...
Thanks man 🙏🏿
Watching on my pixel 6 😊
Great video, thanks man.
Thanks for watching

Thank you for using 60 fps for a battery test. Pure pleasure to watch during breakfast. 🤣
Haha no worries. Glad you enjoyed it 😊
Thx for this Video greets from germany
did you used 120hz refresh rate on pixel?
Yes
Ive ordered s23 hope it doesnt disappoint me with battery depending on my non gaming social apps, photography and youtube usage...shld i upgrade to one ui6?? Plz lmk anyone
Did s23 working as u expected? Bcuz im planning to buy 23 over iPhone... Help me with ur suggestion.. can i buy s23 or iphone?
All of them did a good job but i really didnt expect the pixel 8 will be thats huge improvment over thr pixel 7.
S2 3 is the best here. Cz it has a full display also small battery capacity and 120hz display serves this much??
Finally someone with no bias and facts only.
Thanks

Check the updated version with the S24
I really am thinking about getting the pixel 8 pro but I’ve always had an apple. I don’t use FaceTime that much other than friends here and there. I love pictures so that’s why I’m leaning towards the pixel, please lmk ur thoughts and if I should. (I haven’t used android in a couple years)
Get the Pixel 8 Pro
@@LoverOfTech I think I will! It’s gonna be a little different to get used to it but you gotta test them out and see how it feels. If I don’t like it I can always trade it in for another apple etc. ( I can also use my iPad for FaceTime too!)
Great battery test. Were the batteries on all 3 of these phones relatively new? I know the Pixel 8 just came out just over a month ago. Were the other 2 phones batteries about the same age? Seems like the best performance I get from a new phone battery is in the first 6 or so months then its a slow decline over time.
S23 is from May 2023. iPhone 15 and Pixel 8 are newer of course
Can you use a higher brightness of 500 or 600 nits from next time as 200 is too low
Also what was speaker volume like what percent
Great video 👊 i would really love to see a battery test with phones using cellular connection. Loving your stuff!
I had sim cards in there but the data plans didn't activate properly for some reason.
Also you have to understand that indoor signal strength and quality plays a factor and when the signal is not as strong there is a lot of buffering. This is why most drain test are done on WiFi and not cellular data.
was this done with data only or on wifi?
I stated WiFi in the video
I didn't understand pixel 8 battery is good than 15,s23 then y everyone talking negatively about pixel batteri
I own a Pixel 8 purchased 4 days ago my whole day SoT is only at maximum 5hrs can i know the reason and all i need to know weather is it normal?
You have to give the adaptive battery time to kick in
@@LoverOfTech Thanks for replying
I've been noticing that gradually happening
Is this the SOT you are getting ?

Hi, nice comparison. I looking for new phone, there are pixel 8 and s23, in Ukraine pixel little bit more expensive?
Get what is cheaper for you
Thanks@@LoverOfTech
You should have tested all the phones to only 60hz, as its more demanding running 60-120 hz adaptive.
🙃
Thank you for the great test of the three devices. I would be interested in a test in pure mobile communications. Would it be possible for you to do this with the three devices? In mobile communications, the Pixel 8 is not particularly good in terms of battery life. It would be very interesting to see how it compares to the other two devices. Kind regards from Berlin ;-)
Thanks for the support. Due to poor data signal indoors it will be tough but I will try next time and hopefully it works well with minimal buffering
@@LoverOfTech I would be very happy if you could test this out. Unfortunately, the tensor and the modem are not said to be particularly good in mobile communications and suck a lot on the battery. Some only reach 2-3 hours. Display on time
OMG!, I ordered the 256 S23 over a thousand bucks. I know damn well i wouldn't ever be shooting the 4k 60 video for over an hour. I'm just too surprised, with my smart power saving options. My s23 will probably last for a week. 😂 by the way. The s23+ is a monster 👻.
