Nice overview of both machines mate, some good points, the angle adjustment is so important, which is often forgotten.
    👍👍

Length of the pole (not the cutting head) on the EGO?

I found the ego to be quite heavy on vibrations especially when going through thicker stuff.

Did your Stihl come with a tip protector? My 135 (non-K) did not, which was a little odd.

Yes it did mate. They always do here in AU. Thanks

Didn’t say anything about a test mate. Just having a chat. As mentioned, upcoming videos will be more in use footage and comparison. But thanks for stopping by 👍🏻

Hey thanks for your review, doing many important points 👍
What do you mean about the vibration comparison??
I use Ego and Stihl products as well, I like both brands, but in times I think, the Stihl runs smoother.

Another point for me is the using of a backbattery ,which I really prefer on long workingturns , I think its easier on the Ego, because you can put it at the back and at the Stihl it comes from above and cold maybe in the way.

Yes I also feel the Stihl and Husqvarna hedgers run smoother than the Ego with the newer Husqvarna hedgers being the smoothest of them all by a considerable margin. Good point about the dummy battery and cord placement in the Ego. I never use a dummy battery tho so it’s not so important for me. To hot here for me to carry a battery on my back. Cheers

@lovelawns I am from Germany (explains the bad grammar 😅)
And I'm the only one how uses it in me company, my employees don't use it many times because it's too hot or complicated.
I use it if I work long times on hedges or bushes wit less brakes.
      Thanks for your answer 👍

I need a new hedge cutter for this winter season and I’ve been looking at both of these. The angle of the cut, also that you can cut through thicker stuff with the Stihl has made the decision for me. Thanks

Great video, as ever. ECHO do a commercial battery unit, but it’s only available as a multi-tool motor, here in the UK. I do like the look and feel of their pro products, but they’re pricey…like anything that’s quality!

I haven’t tried the Echo gear yet. Few colleagues swear by it. One of the OGs like Stihl and Husqvarna. Thanks for watching.

My guess it's each to his own my personal choice is sthil hla 66 perfect weight run time and your arms will give up before the battery

Yep not a bad tool the HLA 66. Done many a hedge with that. Just find the blade speed a little slow these days compared to the competitors. One thing about that tool tho is it never stops working. Very reliable. Thanks for watching
