See I found that you can try to skip the battle areas, but they programmed in boundaries once the enemy spawns. So as soon as you to proceed past enemies (by demon grabbing away) the game kills you and forces you to fight them. Stopping any decent time you could potentially get. Nice run though.
It could be Trick Up cancelling. I've noticed you can spam Trick Up like Enemy Step. I haven't tested it with Aerial Flush, but I'm guessing it might work like that.
