      You should rely more on your buoyancy than on the movement itself.
      Use the water in your favor, by keeping your lungs full of air and your body immersed in the water as much as possível. The air exchange has to be done quickly, and have in mind that full lungs means that you have to expand your chest and belly beyond normal, in order to win the pressure of the water.
      Everything immersed in liquid has a opposing vertical force equals to the weight of the liquid volume dislocated, which in the water reduces more than 95% of the human's body weight. The remaining weight can be compensated with air in the lungs. In average, people with lungs full of air can be floating in a vertical position without any moving, having the water level at their eyebrows.
      The legs and arms movement is just to keep your head a little bit more out of the water. The more you try to emerge, the tiring it gets, so allow your body to immerse more in the water when that happens and don't forget to keep your lungs full. If it becomes to hard, you probably have your lungs at normal capacity, which is not enough for buoyancy.
      Good luck on your practice, and do it with supervision for safety.

      Don’t know about other English speaking countries but in the USA everyone calls it eggbeating since there are other ways to tread water.

    Mas, pelo que eu vi nos vídeos, o eggbeater parece uma manobra para atletas e um pouco difícil para pessoas idosas, sem preparo físico e com alguns problemas no joelho (como artrose). É possivel pessoas assim conseguirem flutuar verticalmente?

    Can you do this with tight hips? I have a hard time sitting Indian style without forcing myself into position. Anyone else have this problem? Wondering if it’s still possible to do this movement with tight hip flexors

    • @ryoud9783
      @ryoud9783 2 года назад +2

      Regardless you should fix your problem, tight hip flexers can mess up squats, running, swimming, and well this. Try some hip mobility stuff on RUclips

    So does the lift come from the leg moving out and away from the body or when the leg gets pulled back in?

    • @mas5986
      @mas5986 2 года назад +1

      Pulled back in

    • @mindfulmagician7550
      @mindfulmagician7550 2 года назад

      Actuslly, the lift comes from the downward push of the inside of the shin and the sides of the feet as it scoops the water down. When the legs get pulled back in, it's a lot less friction in the water, like how you would pull a gun out of its holster.

    It appears the eggbeater way of tread is for fresh water as it is less buoyant than salt water.

    God loves you. We are sinners and we’ve broken the Ten Commandments... but God loves us so much, He was willing to send His Son Jesus Christ to die on the cross as payment for our sins to save us from hell and gave an opportunity for us to go heaven when our life on earth is over! Jesus says in John 3:16 “For God so loved the world that He gave us only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life.”! This verse means that when you put your faith in Christ, there is a place for you in heaven! So put your faith in Jesus Christ today, repent and ask for forgiveness of your sins, and may the Lord God bless you!
