- I kind of always wanted to make a video like this.

Possible improvements:
- C.Falcon: 1) Use down-B off the platform to gain 1 more meter.
2) Might gain more distance by "boost run" before jumping (says sNills)
- Mario: Might be able to use side-B (says SNB_Boat)
- Kirby: Can aerial to bypass a rejump height cap (says sugamton)
- Jigglypuff: Same as Kirby.
- Mewtwo: Can possibly extend his double jump by doing back-aerial (says Cohenski & Nick Hooper). Also can possibly use side-B.
- Pikachu: Can up-B in the same direction twice by doing specific inputs (says typhyr)
- Pichu: Same as Pikachu.
- Fox: Might gain more distance by shining after the 1st jump (suggested My Miscellany)
- Falco: Same as Fox?
- Peach: 1) Might be able to use neutral-B (said My Miscellany)
2) Use aerial right before the float ends (said My Miscellany)
- Ice Climbers: Might gain more distance when they are two (said l5555l)
- Samus: • Samus Long Jump (TAS)
Instead of up-B, use airdodge and immediately tether.
- Game & Watch: Might be able to use down-B (says ssbmslurppp)

Well I could tell you how far Jigglypuff went, but first, let's talk about parallel universes...
While doing the less amount of A presses as possible
You also need to do a QPHC, a Quadra Parallel Homerun contest
Do half an A Press
You then have do to a mid-air combo, on the air of course, by pressing these buttons in chronological order: A+B+UPSTICK+DOWNSTICK+LEFTSTICK+RIGHTSTICK+B+A+START
The combo is a quick one that relies on Jigglypuff’s Neutral Air to a mid air Smash Attack to successfully land about 10% on the opponent. The catch is that it only works on a Kirby, a Pichu, or another Jigglypuff while at 0%.

Laia l I don't think Tas can change RNG unless the RNG of a game is based on something that can be physically control, plus at the end he says it's an Action Replay code.
RNG can be physically controlled in games. You just have to know how, and some games are harder than others. For example in Pokemon, it has been discovered how you can run through all of Mt. Moon without a single random encounter by manipulating the games RNG.

really interesting that Dr. Mario went farther than normal Mario, even though Mario was designed to be more mobile while Dr. Mario was designed to be somewhat slower but more powerful
Stuff like this makes me think the team behind melee mightve run out of time to finish designing mario and dr mario and properly balancing them as sidegrades/counterparts to eachother. Itd also explain why they reduced marios weight in pal despite not being an overpowered character at all, because it was the same exact weight as dr mario's in the earlier versions that were shipped

No, you slowly lose height, even if it's frame perfect. However, it does stall for a VERY long time (as shown in the video above) and is even banned in tournaments if you use it to drag out a match. If you use Rising Pound just to recover however, it's alright.

Kirby's back throw can suicide off stage HOWEVER you can just jump out of it mid animation.
Jigglypuff's back air attack has a disjointedly long hitbox that is like 2-3 times larger than her leg.
Mr Game and Watch's shield is smaller than his body, making him able to take damage while shielding effectively making it worthless to even use.
And so on, this game is busted to the core.

You can extend Peach's float duration by doing an aerial right at the end, the game will allow you to continue floating until the aerial finishes. Nairing on the frame before float ends would be optimal.

Link should be allowed to self bomb. I understand you don't want to bob-omb with peach because it's a tiny random change, but it's a standard method of recovery for link that's constantly utilised in bracket to bomb jump.

Peach should be allowed to use a bobomb. She can prepare it before she starts her jump. Plus Luigi was able to always get the misfire, don’t see why peach can’t use her bobomb.
reason why they were unable to use it is because they would have to prematurely prepare it and in Melee, it isn't likely to prepare it off stage due to how edgeguarding functions
Meme Big you aren’t likely to get that Luigi misfire that many times in a row. Pretty sure the chances of that are extremely slim. This obviously, isn’t (considering the young link jump,) normal gameplay standards or expectations.
I think the point is that canonically Link or peach can't use a bomb in that way, where Samus actually can, young link was a glitch, and Luigi is just a ridiculous amount of luck

I can understand why Peach isn't allowed to self bomb, the chances are just too low. So why did you allow that many misfires in a row? And if Mewtwo is allowed to charge a shadow ball before he jumps, why isn't Link allowed to pull a bomb?
I think the rule is maximum distance without exeeding 0% damage.

Honestly, I don't care too much about bombs being excluded from this video since they probably make a rather small difference in the grander scheme of things, but I still want to know the reasoning behind why that specific thing was included when other rather bizarre things were.

If you did grapple jump in the end instead of up b maybe that's some meters
