RNG can be physically controlled in games. You just have to know how, and some games are harder than others. For example in Pokemon, it has been discovered how you can run through all of Mt. Moon without a single random encounter by manipulating the games RNG.

Stuff like this makes me think the team behind melee mightve run out of time to finish designing mario and dr mario and properly balancing them as sidegrades/counterparts to eachother. Itd also explain why they reduced marios weight in pal despite not being an overpowered character at all, because it was the same exact weight as dr mario's in the earlier versions that were shipped
Imagine your character never gets edge-guarded, has no trouble getting off ledge AND lives for a very long time horizontally vs almost everyone. Ridiculous.

If you think that's broken... Kirby's back throw can suicide off stage HOWEVER you can just jump out of it mid animation. Jigglypuff's back air attack has a disjointedly long hitbox that is like 2-3 times larger than her leg. Mr Game and Watch's shield is smaller than his body, making him able to take damage while shielding effectively making it worthless to even use. And so on, this game is busted to the core.

You can extend Peach's float duration by doing an aerial right at the end, the game will allow you to continue floating until the aerial finishes. Nairing on the frame before float ends would be optimal.
Wow, Doctor Mario going _further_ horizontally than standard Mario in Melee just makes me all the more sad about his SSB4 incarnation. I'm curious how Luigi would rank without a hilariously unlikely number of misfires; I imagine he'd still perform around the middle?
@@JagiUGG Not necessarily, they could've used 20XX to make Luigi always misfire. But your point still stands, you'd probably need the infinity gauntlet to even give yourself a reasonable chace of replicating that without hacks (not including the stage hacks required to make any of this possible)
Link should be allowed to self bomb. I understand you don't want to bob-omb with peach because it's a tiny random change, but it's a standard method of recovery for link that's constantly utilised in bracket to bomb jump.
Peach should be allowed to use a bobomb. She can prepare it before she starts her jump. Plus Luigi was able to always get the misfire, don’t see why peach can’t use her bobomb.

Meme Big you aren’t likely to get that Luigi misfire that many times in a row. Pretty sure the chances of that are extremely slim. This obviously, isn’t (considering the young link jump,) normal gameplay standards or expectations.
I think the point is that canonically Link or peach can't use a bomb in that way, where Samus actually can, young link was a glitch, and Luigi is just a ridiculous amount of luck Yeah the rules are weird and kind of dumb but thats how it works
I wasn't able to make it go further than a jump. But it's possible I didn't perform the SWD correctly. I would like to see video of someone doing it on the Stadium platform.
I can understand why Peach isn't allowed to self bomb, the chances are just too low. So why did you allow that many misfires in a row? And if Mewtwo is allowed to charge a shadow ball before he jumps, why isn't Link allowed to pull a bomb?

Honestly, I don't care too much about bombs being excluded from this video since they probably make a rather small difference in the grander scheme of things, but I still want to know the reasoning behind why that specific thing was included when other rather bizarre things were.
This is a good video despite a few flaws. (i.e. maybe link can go further with bomb jumping and maybe falco's phantasm takes him further than his up-b. maybe cape can take mario further) but I honestly really enjoyed the video because a) I wasn't about to go doing all this myself and b) you explain some of your choices at the end (and of course I just enjoyed watching everyone jump as far as possible)
thanks. I have noted most possible improvements in the video description. A new video should include both "no bomb" and "bomb" strats. I deliberately chose not to use bombs here. Falco's up B takes him further at the angle used here. It's very specific (a bit too high or too low and it's not as far as phantasm).

also use aerials with kirby as they rise in their double jump as you the jumping animation has its slower aerial drift that is countered if u input an aerial

I think the point is that canonically Link or peach can't use a bomb in that way, where Samus actually can, young link was a glitch, and Luigi is just a ridiculous amount of luck

I can understand why Peach isn't allowed to self bomb, the chances are just too low. So why did you allow that many misfires in a row? And if Mewtwo is allowed to charge a shadow ball before he jumps, why isn't Link allowed to pull a bomb?

Honestly, I don't care too much about bombs being excluded from this video since they probably make a rather small difference in the grander scheme of things, but I still want to know the reasoning behind why that specific thing was included when other rather bizarre things were.
The bombs make a big difference for Link because it gives him two up-Bs...

This is a good video despite a few flaws. (i.e. maybe link can go further with bomb jumping and maybe falco's phantasm takes him further than his up-b. maybe cape can take mario further) but I honestly really enjoyed the video because a) I wasn't about to go doing all this myself and b) you explain some of your choices at the end (and of course I just enjoyed watching everyone jump as far as possible)

Falco's up B takes him further at the angle used here. It's very specific (a bit too high or too low and it's not as far as phantasm).

also use aerials with kirby as they rise in their double jump as you the jumping animation has its slower aerial drift that is countered if u input an aerial
