    Part 14. Demolition of the West Heating Plant in Georgetown (Washington, DC). Electrostatic Precipitators on the north side were part of the pollution control system.
    The heating plant was built in the 1940s. It provided steam heat to government buildings.

    I worked in a heating plant in Detroit in the 80's and 90's. Can see how the various systems are being methodically dismantled and remember how they were built.

    Look at the size of that steel girder the guy is cutting with the acetylene during the last 5 minutes.

    Well precipitators you had a hell of a run and did a damn fine job. Time to let go and let it ALL air out.
