- Today we are going to fully explain Lewis Robinson’s wild family tree. In the Walt Disney Animated Feature, Wilbur goes through it pretty quickly, but everything kind of gets confusing when Bud keeps referring to people by different titles like aunt and uncle without grounding us with whose aunt and uncle they are and what part of the family they come from! It kind of just always became a mess in my mind especially as the story progressed, and now I want to handle it. Who are Lewis’s uncles and aunts? Who are his in-laws? How does everyone connect?

How can a Disney movie like Frozen be popular but a Disney movie with a strong message and touching story like Meet the Robinson's cannot?? The world is so unfair at times...

Joselyn Rivera they never said there was anything wrong with strong female leads. They merely stated that for once it’s a strong, male role model. Yes, there are good male characters in Disney movies, but there are very few male leads, and Lewis is a great kid
@@joselynrivera9036 Nothing is wrong, it's just that the strong female lead is becoming overrated. We already get it, gender equality is changing the world so Disney thinks they should change too. Thing is, they're taking feminism a bit too seriously and it's making the guys in the movies look shadowed and become more of humored sidekicks.
To be fair, the older disney princesses and female characters were like...flower pots. Pretty to look at but kinda empty. Let's take Sleeping Beauty for example. I like Aurora but she does literally nothing. Prince Phillip goes to rescue her, scales a cliff with one had and slays a dragon making him like the best disney prince imo don't @ me. There are still people today that think we should just be pretty and not do much, follow the rules men and society have set. While I prefer BH6 over Frozen, I do really like Elsa and what the movie is for

Well he disappeared at the end by hiding behind a bush but when Louis/Cornelius goes back to his time he gets adopted it’s a great movie dude best movie better than frozen

Apparently they did at one point plan a straight to DVD sequel called Meet The Robinson’s: First Date which was gonna be about Lewis’s first date with Franny

Apparently all they had was a title and nothing else, no concept art or story details or anything has been released at all
@@ijusthadtobespecial9741 from that title and Wilburs "don't make me have to come and bail you out again" and "I've got a time machine" lines from the end of the first kinda make me think it was going to be lewis messed up the date and Wilbur had to come and help him out... kinda like the movie back to the future only this time Lewis almost messes up his future family rather than his own past.
Pettunia actually died long ago in a car crash, and the uncle was driven insane and forced everyone to believe Petunnia is alive through the form of a puppet as a coping mechanism for his depression.

I feel Meet the Robinsons has a predestination paradox because at the beginning of the film, Louis’s mother hears a noise and goes to investigate, then someone unknown knocks at the orphanage door. Later, when Wilbur and Louis are watching Louis’s mother giving up Louis at the orphanage, Louis makes the noise that she hears, then he knocks on the orphanage door.
What does predestination
paradox mean?
@@monabohamad2242 basically it's a time loop. It's something that was set to happen no matter what, but you can't really find when or why it started in the first place. Let's say you have to travel in time to prevent something from happening, but as you change time you accidentally cause what you were supposed to prevent from the start. On That's so Raven, happened all the time with her visions.

This is probably my extremely sleep deprived brain talking: but what if the two uncles that no one knows is related too are actually members of Lewis original birth mother's family intersected with the Robinson to keep an eye on the little boy she gave up and maybe adult Lewis figures that out down the line and lets them stay.
Or they're just 2 weirdos the Robinsons adopted.

@@fangirl_43 Well I agree this is a great movie but the sad thing is that this movie barley did good in the box office with the budget for this movie being 150 million and the amount made for the box office was 169.3 million so it was nearly passing its budget
The 2000's were a rough year for Disney. If MTR had come out in the 2010's it most definitely would have gotten back all the millions it deserved.

My mother had 11 siblings and my father has 8. My great grandfather on my mother's side re married when his first wife died. He's got atleast five children from that marriage. Saying I have a big family is a big understatement. To not stress over on who's my first cousin, my second cousin, my aunts, and my uncles are. I just call the relatives whose age is closer to my mom's my aunts and uncles and if they're closer to my age my cousins. But when I explain to strangers that my cousin isn't actually my cousin she's technically my aunt but I call her cousin to make it easier for my brain and my Aunt is technically my second cousin I can't just bother to keep a track on their accurate relationship to me is a massive headache.
My mother lives with her stepfather and biological mother all the year round. My real grandfather has a total of 11 children. He has at least 5 sons. He and his legal wife have a total of 7 children. But he wasn’t a bad person, he had a relationship with many women when world war 2.
My grandfather had 22 kids throughout his lifetime, possibly more.
I didn't know it was called "Meet the Robisons", in Spanish is called " La Familia del Futuro" which translates to "The Family from the Future", I honestly think it's a cooler name for the movie. This movie is definitely my favourite Disney movie ever, it's fun to watch, it has an entertaining plot twist, cool futuristic scenarios I had never imagine before as a kid, and overall gives us a lot of feelings and inspires hope by teaching us a lot of life lessons which I can still apply to my life, it's simply a beautiful, emotional and fun movie, with a well-though clever storyline. I honestly didn't realise how underrated it is till now.

This film seems more like a pilot for a TV show in order for use to learn more about the characters in later episodes.
I like how the Bud side of the family has like that thin long cowlick in their hairstyles, meanwhile, the Frannie-side, have that curly spike. Pretty nice attention to detail.
It almost got a sequel, but Disney decided to focus on more original projects.
Maybe someday.

Spike and Dimitri are twins, and I don't know who they're related to. (Neither do we. Go on.)
Lucile is married to Bud, and Cornelius is their son. Cornelius looks like Tom Selleck.
Cornelius is married to Franny, and her brothers are Gaston and Art.
Wilbur is the son of Franny and Cornelius.

To be honest, I was having the out most laugh and fun when the kid started to introduce the family to Louis, so it's good to remember the childhood days! Thank you for the memories!

This movie is underrated as heck!
My favorite part of the movie was after the battle with the T-Rex, Franny went to check on Wilbur and Lewis and she’s glad to see they’re both ok, Lewis brags about he and Wilbur took down the dinosaur while Franny is busy smothering Wilbur with hugs and kisses, but while bragging, he accidentally calls Franny, “Mom.” Lewis realizes what he said and feels completely embarrassed, but Franny forgives him and gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, come on, if you didn’t go, “Aww” at that moment, you have no soul, that’s probably the first time Lewis ever felt a mom’s love, being hugged and kissed by Franny, and not to mention Franny wanted to adopt Lewis the moment she met him and saw him as a son, ( Until his cover was blown of course )
However, we later find out Lewis is actually Wilbur’s dad, that means Lewis got a kiss from his future wife before he even met her in the past, so, doesn’t that technically make it a Disney kiss?
( I feel so bad saying that due to the age difference in that scene )

"Meet the Robinsons" is the best disney movie imo and a must watch. For me, the characters were well written and it actually has a lot of emotional build up. It actually teaches you valuable lessons in life and the characters' struggles are real and relatable and the comedy is funny as well. 🙂
The Robinson family has always been one of the most relatable families to me and i can draw a lot of parallels to my family irl. Crazy Sunday Italian dinners at my grandparents house, Frank Sinatra playing in the background, lots of relatives i can't keep track of who's related to who sometimes, the creepy uncle who looked a scary amount like future Goob. I can go on and probably make in accurate personality assessments about the whole human cast
louis definitely wound up with the best family environment his mother was a scientist who encouraged him and a father who was very proud of his adopted son and supported him
When watching i thought petunia died and her husband cant accept that, so he made a puppet of her, everyone understand and supports him, so they pretends petunia is still alive

How Lewis met each member of the family (after Franny, Bud, and Lucille) in the present day:
Fritz and Joe: probably shortly after he was adopted.
Petunia and Billie: same, assuming they were already married to Fritz and Joe. If not, probably when they started dating their respective husbands. (All assuming there was a real Petunia at some point).
Lazlo and Tallulah: If they were born yet, they would probably be very young and he would meet them with Fritz and Petunia. If not, he met them the day they were born or shortly after.
Gaston and Art: Probably shortly after he started getting to know Franny a bit more.
Spike and Dimitri: ?????
Wilbur: Well, when a Lewis and a Franny love each other very much . . .

Imagine what the Meet the Robinsons sequel would be like. After like 10 years, it’s finally worth it.
I’d say there’d be more future things going on in Wilbur’s life. He’ll have to save his family, but from what? I’ve read some fan-made stories about it, and that could build up to become a possible sequel.

This is actually my favourite Disney movie. I absolutely adore it even today. Though the book it was based on it real wacky. It's by the same author who wrote the book behind the Rise of the Guardians actually, William Joyce

Since Talula and Laslo are around the same age as Lewis in the future, that means that they were kids when Lewis was, so the puppet thing isnt something thats from the future

I always kind of loved the subtle misdirection the movie uses to hide certain characters in the past and future so you don't figure it out. In the past you only really interact with Lucille and don't see Bud until the end, but in the future you only interact with Bud and Lucille is largely a background character and you don't get enough of her personality to put it together. Franny is a bit more on the nose, carrying her box of frogs and acting like a stern mother to Wilbur, but it's such a quick joke that you don't even think about it while you're interacting with Future Franny.
I wish they made a tv show or another movie for Meet the Robinsons because this is one of my favorite movies.

This movie is very underrated. Has a good message, not about romance, interesting characters, good animation and great use of colors, nice plot twists that actually make sense, a likable and relatable protagonist, it's too bad this movie isn't better appreciated.

I love this movie! I remember watching this so many times. This was one of my favorite movies as a kid. It made me wonder if my life can be somewhat like this or similar because it's so bizarre yet they can be awesome if they want to
Meet the Robinsons is seriously underrated and I love it because of it's entertaining characters and fascinating lessons
If I had to come up with an explanation for the whole Billie inconsistency, my guess is that Bud is just much, MUCH older than his other two brothers, and Billie does seem like the type who would poke fun of someone for their age, and jokingly calls him "grandpa."

This has been my favourite movie since I was eleven years, more or less :') Now, I still love it, along with Treasure Planet and Interstellar (my three favourite movies, I guess), and it's crazy, because I know that Meet the Robinsons and Treasure Planet are not as known as Frozen, for example, but they mean a lot to me, and I can't even imagine who I would be if I hadn't been such in love with these movies, specially with Meet the Robinsons.
Every time I didn't want to study Maths, Science and all these kind of subjects, I remembered Meet the Robinsons (and Treasure Planet) and I watched the movie to encourage me. I ended up having fun with scientific subjects and I was very interested and motivated because of the movie. I became the best student in Physics, Maths and Chemistry (a subject I almost hated), too xd And this is just one of the ways Meet the Robinsons has... "changed my life" or, at least, my way to see it and to face the problems ❤️
