This is signature scent worthy !!! It maybe popular in the fraghead world. But trust me a lot of people in the city won’t know what it is !!
It's fantastic but I just wanna reiterate your last point because it's *SO* true! Hardly any of the well regarded scents in the fraghead world are known to the average person. Hell even something as popular as Sauvage or Bleu De Chanel isn't known

PdM is pretty affordable for a niche brand. There are always sales. I just got a 125ml bottle of carlisle for 170$. This bottle will probably last forever.

I have Layton and I found to be very potent. Just one spray fills the room. If you live in a hot weather area you should buy PDM Percival instead of Layton. Layton is good for really cold winter days but Percival is for all season.
After building up a 45+ bottle designer collection, I finally got into the niche world. Started with Layton and Herod and I don't think I'll ever be able to go back lol.
Layton is so good but I can't use Herod because the girls don't hear words with that. They just try to rape me! I have to remember I only have one carrot. Only a few can share it!🥺

this is my first nich perfume, and I love it, I think it is a genious apple-cardamon-vanilla combination, not so much for hot days, but such a wonderful fragrance
My first niche fragrance, it’s a beast mode powerhouse.
I like to wear it when I go out to bars. I always get compliments.
If you like that, and the PDM DNA, then try out Herod from PDM

I blind bought this week and i was suprised how masculine and spicy it is, i dont think its so sweet that people give it credit for, i love it tho gotten so many compliments already.
It is really sweet and smells like apple pie in my opinion, I am polarized whether its masculine enough for me...darn this is definitely a special occasion fragrance for me
@@Monkmode15 i think there are batch variations honestly because I've smelled 4 different batches and they all have a difference to them. My first ones were so gourmand and appley.

That scent is always collection worthy!
Layton is great and will always have a bottle but the Exclusif is on another level! Not a safe blind buy unless you're used to and like daring, darker & dirtier scents though. Complete masterpiece imo

I'm a seasonal collector as of a few months ago and I'm 30 years old I'm just now getting into the cologne learning about different notes and different sense and I have a small collection right now with some summer and random fragrances. Like Dolce Gabbana light Blue intense, mont Blanc explorer, club de Nuit intense man, and Rasasi Hawas, and I have a budget around 160 I don't think I would pay anything higher than $160 but then here is this, a few videos I've watched saying it's really good in it's a good longer fragrance very fresh good for what I thought was summer but I'm looking for something in the fall or winter and a lot of people say these. I'll definitely have to give this fragrance line a second look cuz I've heard Pegasus is another good one too.

I bought a 75ml about a year ago and I wish I would of paid more for a 125ml!!! This is amazing scent! This thing has to be scrub in the shower lol it doesn’t come off clothes until you wash it! Amazing blind buy worthy.

Layton is magical
You won’t be disappointed. I got it last week, put it on, then ditched the rest of my collection ie Sauvage, Dylan Blue, Aqua Di Gio Profondo etc. I will get back to these Frags but Layton is cream de la cream.
I recommend you to test it or to sample it, i'm glad i didn't blind buy. To me it's smells like a better designer fragrance really nothing complex about it and not worth imo. I think that it's so hyped because it's mass appealing and likeable by everyone

I really enjoyed this video Dallas , Layton smells Amazing !! I've smelt hundreds of Fragrances including quite a few Niche lately and Layton is still my favourite . It really was love at first sniff and for me to like a Fragrance more than Layton it is going to take something very special !! Keep up the good work !! 👏👍
I agree with Dallas. In the top 2 of my collection. Unique beautiful smell, performance and longevity is great, still giving off the various notes many hours later. I would not hesitate to buy this again whenever my bottle is used up. Great compliment getter. Highly recommended.

A 10 out of 10. PDM Layton smells so good it can cause a traffic jam. People stop me every time I wear this. It is pricey, but at the end of the you will stand out. 8 to 10 hours on my skin.
Is it okay if you're wearing this in Summer? How many spray you usually do?
@@MhdAkmall I wouldn't wear it on really hot days but the summer is ok. I normally do 3 to 4 sprays. 1 one each side of the neck and 2 on the back of the neck for the sillage

@@MhdAkmall I've never had an issue with it being cloying and this scent is far from unpleasant. It would make a great signature scent for all seasons. Just be careful you can go threw your first bottle pretty fast it smells that good 👍

I can't draw a single similarity between The One and Layton. They're both warm? Two Rendell remarkably different fragrances.

Exclusif blows the original out of the water imo too. But I don't think the average person would be as appreciative of it because of how dark & dirty it is
Your right about average person will not like it. But The oud in exclusif is a creative oud which is make the scent perfect for the perfume version

The thing about natural fragrances is, that they have to "age" a bit. I have a 2020 batch and mine lasts 8+ hours easily.

The bottle I got doesn’t really last or project well for some reason, I need to spray lots of it to smell it and keep reapplying. I guess there’s a reason they give you extra, I got 125ml one but the other fragrances I have that last/project well are elixir 60ml and initio 90ml
Best scent in my collection and i have well over 100 Have Herod too but doesn't last as long as Layton
Yeah performance of both isn't great anymore with new bottles but the scents themselves are, just carry a small decant to reapply 🙂

I would say try before you buy it. I'm glad I didnt blind buy it. It is super sweet. Made my sister, cousin and three more friends smell it and they laughed and said it smells like a meringue and overall thought it was awful. Personally i think it is a high quality scent, but its definetely not for everyone.
That's unfortunate, yeah it is very sweet & warm but in fairness no fragrance is for everyone, Layton is regarded for being a generally safe mass pleasing scent but there are always going to be exceptions. BR540 is another mass pleasing widely regarded fragrance yet my mother has hated it the first few times I've worn it so far.

I just got a sample today. I don't like it as much as I had hoped. I'll have to give it another wear but, as of now, it's nothing like I thought it would have smelled like. I think ultra male is much much better for this kind of fragrance. This smells very synthetic. I think Eros smells better ( and I don't love Eros).

Signature scent right here, nothing comes close to it for me.
It didn't perform well on my skin. It doesn't project and I can't even smell it when I spray it. One has to be very close to me to smell it.

I now have Sedley, Kalan, Greenley, and Herod. Herod is a great for fall and winter. But I wear Layton the most.

Layton just smells like vanilla vicks vapor rub until the dry down....I like the dry down a lot but man I don’t get the hype with an opening like that.

Own all 3, so maybe I can help with your question: Carlisle, Layton, and Herod. In that order. Carlisle is an absolute monster for all 3 of your criteria, with Layton being no slouch either. Both are powerhouses, with Carlisle being just a bit stronger, because it is STRONG.
Herod is a big turn downward on performance, sillage and projection. Which is unfortunate because it my favorite of the 3. I swear my skin drinks it. I have to spray it on my clothes but goddamn that mid is fucking lovely.

@@ammaralbiz1803 No problem. In answer.....ummm, havent tried Mancera Red Tobacco yet, so couldnt tell you on a comparison. But it sounds like you're implying you've smelled both Carlisle and Red Tobacco lol. If so, you would be the better judge on redundancy.
If you have not yet tried Carlsilse though, it is very good. And have not seen any comparison between the 2. I will usually get a pretty thorough impression on what I'm buying through reviewers, as I dont really f with samples.
