I think they casted who they wanted then added trainees not on par with their parameters so to be easier to do elimination. I didnt watch the ep4 but vocals arent the priority for this casting /: I dont know if I will watch more.
watch “girls on fire” instead. lots of vocally talented ppl and the winners will be put in a girl group together by the end of the show. mnet survival shows are about personality and physical appearance, not actual talent
I hope Jeemin really debuts it would not make sense for her to not make the lineup. Jiyoon deserves a chance too. On a side note only 24 girls out of 20K applicants is insane. I rather wait for Girls Planet 2.

The fact that Mnet held auditions in US, Canada, Australia, UK, Germany, Vietnam, China, Japan, and Thailand majority are Korean and Japanese (only 1 Malaysian) you're telling me out of all these foreign countries that the auditions were held only Japanese were picked. Honestly, this whole audition would of been great for Girls Planet 2 in my opinion because I-LAND 2 having 24 trainees and we know there will be more Korean trainees (obviously) but still it was pointless.
I completely agree with you on the lack of talent in the contestants. Not even just lack of talent but also lack in variety of talent. I feel like they’re all all rounder types or aspiring to be which makes groups so bland in reality you should have maybe one or two all rounders and the main dancer/vocal/rapper should excel in their respective positions. It would also be nice to have some trainees that have talent that’s more than just rapping singing or dancing
i think some people are being too quick to judge on this. the final group will be like, 7 members, so they really only need one/two main vocalists (jiyoon/jungeun) while other trainees like fuko, sarang and sujung would make for good lead vocalists obviously the vocals aren’t strong in this show, and the main vocalists in iland 2 would be considered lead vocal material anywhere else, but it’s nothing a little training can’t fix since jungeun and jiyoon have already proven that there’s potential there

it's devastating, because I'm a total fan of Monika and Lee Jung. but it seems like a total miss.
