Sara is neurodivergent. She just says what is in her head, doesn’t always know the social graces. She is naive about a lot of things and doesn’t always make good decisions. Felice went to August because her self esteem is very low, between the pressure her Mom puts on her and Wilhelm’s rejection she went where she knew she was wanted. August made his interest in her very clear so she knew he wouldn’t turn her down. This show is a lot more “adult” than Heartstopper so prepare yourselves for the drama. Loving your reactions ☺️
We could feel the pressure Felice is under. Talk about failed parenting. 😔 Bless her. We hope she won't come for Sara after this incident. Thanks for watching 🫶
FYI, the translation 10:42 says “Why are you sitting in your room sulking when you have a crush to hang out with?” but it should be more like a “hook-up” to hang out with. Many Swedish viewers have said that they didn’t translate it accurately.
August is from nobility, and the noble title goes always with the land and estate. He is from an old noble family, which means that the estate, land and art are in long possession in their family. Usually, the firstborn son gets the heritage to continue the family line. So it can be seen as weak to sell something, being maybe hundreds of years in family possession, and August is obsessed with the nobility, monarchy, and old traditions...it is his life...
This. Also August is asset-rich but cash-poor.... he inherited the estate at 16 his mother did not work before her husband died and has no legal claims... her current husband is bankrupt so even though they probably covered the first 2 years they could not cover his final year
We got the impression that his whole life evolved around his title. It is interesting to see how Wilhelm wants to live a "normal" life, away from all of it, and August wants all of it. We hope he will pay Simon cause he needs that money back. Thanks for watching 🫶
8:53 Felice’s mom is hard on Felice about her weight, looks, who she’s dating, while Felice’s dad pressures her about grades. Felice’s self-esteem isn’t the best.
Casual gay romance, that is not what young royals will give you. You will have a hell of a ride, and fall deeply in love with this series along the way. All the characters and feelings of this series is so well done. A cool sidenote is that the actors are more or less improvising something in every scene. The directors gave them huge space for it so it would get a more authentic feel. And it's also Omars (Simon) first time acting, witch is mindblowing when you see how good he is.
Bless her. She must be under a lot of pressure. Correction! After seeing her parents in action, she is under a lot of pressure 😔 We are glad you enjoyed our reaction. Thanks for watching 🫶
It was very, very unexpected, but somewhat not a huge surprise. If we think about how they showed Erik speeding in his Ferrari in the first episode 🥲 Thanks for watching 🫶
The word of the day is ..... Explosive ... hahahah I think what you guys missed is that when Wilhelm asked Simon to spend the weekend, is that he used formal royal/noble courting language... I think that was so sweet. For me, especially after the conversation with Eric where he indicated that it was not a crush, it gave, "I don't know what this is or what I am doing, but I want this, and I am going to go for it." Also, be gentle with him (Willie); he has never had feelings for anyone. He has not even had real platonic friendships. Not only are these feelings new and massive and overwhelming, they are for a boy. He needed to process them. I would suggest that you guys stop trying to predict what's gonna happen. We all did, and I'm sure 99% if not 100% of us predicted incorrectly...... by the time I got to episode 3 I had to start again when I realised ok this was not the typical teen drama ..and even though there were some typical teen drama tropes they were not handled in the typical way ..... There was so much I missed in my first viewing because i was trying to "predict " and watching through the lens of " ok this is the typical teen drama so this is what's gonna happen " ... The only prediction I got correct was that Eric was going to die because they showed/ told us in the first episode.
😔 thinking about their conversation and how gentle Eric was to his little brother breaks our hearts even more. When did you know Eric would die? Was it the scene when him and Willie arrived at the school in that Ferrari!? Thanks for watching 🫶

@@Nelly-44 Yes, there may be foreshadowing, but I see it more as positioning Wilhelm between the support of the queen and the first-in-line-to-the-throne ... rather than being just a "stringer", so to speak.
An explosive episode, yeah, you're right! (and it's getting worse every episode...) About August's finances: I think (doesn't say in canon) I think the estate "Årnäs" is meant to be one very old estate, those were (earlier) "fidei commissions", that means the oldest son inherited everything and siblings or mother/wife didn't inherit anything, it all went to the oldest son, both money and estate. (There aren't many estates/manors like this left in Sweden, but some...yes, but the law is changed now so they need a special permit to still keep it to one son, but August had no siblings and his mother is more or less broke, ((her boyfriend too, the other moms talked about that before the dinner)), so it seems as if they (the writers) wanted it (Årnäs) to be one of these old estates/ manors, and August doesn't want to sell off anything because that is the only thing he has left of his father, (and his last name). Love to see your reaction of this, it gives me the thrill of seeing it again with fresh eyes. 😃 And the last scene still gets to me, i get short of breath just as the first time... still affects me... (and... I know I shouldn't comment your looks, but... you both look so handsome!!😆😊 I could just watch you for hours...)
I was waiting for your reaction to this episode and it did not disappoint! Well done! Can’t wait for the next ones too :) Also, maybe this was obvious to other people but after a few viewings I got the impression that August was only pursuing Felice because of her money. Especially in the first episodes when she showed no interest him back. Thank you for sharing :)
Thanks for watching 🫶 We are glad you liked it. It seems as if August and Felice have the same agenda. August wants her for her money, and she wants Wilhelm for his title. 😆
August is all about power and money gives power, so yes. He wants the best of everything for the prestige and Felice is considered the “best girl” at the school from a high level family.
Love your reactions! Preparing for the last season of Young Royals by watching you guys. (You said 'We wanted a nice romance'. No spoilers but this show isn't it😭)
I laughed out loud when I heard you guys say that you just wanted a casual gay romance 😂. Eh, This is not it!☺️ It’s drama all the way til the end of season 2. It is my favorite show and I think because it it so much drama and a impossible lovestory you get more invested and love the characters. 💜💙👑
