Both boys fall in love and in Heartstopper it was Charlie who approached Nick, in YR it was Wilhelm who approached Simon. In contrast, Heartstopper is based on much less drama. The two boys from YR have a lot of contact in their private lives and, as already written in endless comments, their chemistry is simply 1:1. You can't make a comparison because there are few public videos from Heartstopper. Just different. But both series are very good. I find Heartstopper more calming. YR is up on the podium, yes, and publicly reveals a lot to the other two and admits a lot. That's what defines Edvin and Omar.
