Your explanation of the two constraints for circles in perspective (ellipses with minor/major axis and circles that touch the squares they are in) has cleared up so much for me, thank you. Great video!

Wow, this was amazing! The minor axis/wheel ellipse thing is a mindblower. I'm having hard time grasping/retaining it, but I feel like if I can get to that point it's going to help me a lot. It's a headtrip though. Thanks for making these great tutorials:)

Thanks so much! Yeah it takes a bit to wrap your head around, but it'll become more clear the more you do it. You can practice just doing the four wheels of a car, like in a box, and just leave it at that. That's fairly fast to do, so you can do that a bunch of times, and the ellipse thing will sink in pretty quickly.

Nice! That is a good tip! I have a tendency to semi "finish" every scribble into a drawing, which can kind of dilute my focus. Ha ha. @@tylerbourneart

really love the content you putting out, I don't feel the need to revisit Scott Robertson's books, this video has most of the stuff covered. Really awesome.
Btw I still didn't understand the point of step 2 when you can directly jump from step 1 to 3 like you have a draft view with measurements so all it takes is putting it in perspective. Is the purpose of step 2 to give more sense of forms to the draft from step 1?

Hey thank you so much! Yeah to be honest I wrestled with the idea of including step 2 in the video. I tried to combine Scott's stuff from the How to Draw book and methods from Peter Han's dynamic sketching course. The 3 step-process is from Peter's course, and I think step 2 is basically easier to get a semi-perspective sketch done, without necessarily needing to know all the proper measurements from Step 3/Scott's book. But I think the proper understanding from Step 3 is important, and will really help when doing Step 2.
So I guess if anyone's learning this from scratch, step 2 is less daunting to try; and for people who are already more comfortable with perspective, then a step 2 sketch becomes more of a short-hand, quick-sketch where you don't have to plot it all out.
But ultimately step 2 is probably skippable.

Thanks for giving detailed info on basic stuff! Will help a lot of people. I think you will get a lot of subs soon. Huge fan of the tiger 1. Its a caricature of a male testosterone freak. Very scary.

Thanks Yassine! I've got a few lined up first, but yes, environment sketching is definitely on the list and I'll try to get to it as soon as I can.
