I typed in loop choke in the search and was planning on binge watching a gang of videos on the loop choke, but I feel like I just watched the only one I need lol
This is a weird compliment but this is some of the best audio on any BJJ instructional vid. No room noise and clear, resonant speaking. Great content as well!
best loop choke instruction. Been doing bjj 12 years and watched many instructional and this is the only one which explains the rules and mechanics of why it works. Thank you
After watching several videos I knew generally how to do this choke but none showed these small critical tips. I feel much more confident I'll be able to hit this now. Thank you.
1. Grip collar loose, in line with collar bone 2. Your head has to be higher than his head 3. Move his head towards choking hand (think of a choke as a guillotine)
Started bjj 3 weeks ago really enjoying it. Your channel is a god send, your ability to teach and make sense of techniques is a real help to me. Subbed thanks.
@@resheeraj9181 Hey, yes I'm still training. It's difficult with COVID right now. I'm a blue belt, had a few competitions but not keen on them. The adrenalin dump is horrible. I've had some time off here and there but still training.
(Subtitles have been added to this video.) Cheat Sheet: • Align the forefinger of your cross collar grip with their collarbone. • Get your head above theirs. • Use your free hand to chop down and towards your hip. This is really an awesome instructional. Same as Armstrong here...12 years of bjj and nothing seems clearer then this concept. Thanks for the share man! Osss
Thank you thank you thank you! I've been trying to do loop chokes the past two weeks and I couldn't figure out what I was doing wrong. I have a better idea and what to work on. You've made this white belt a happy man!
Awesome instructions, i always try the loop choke but its difficult to trap them there, but treating the Loop choke as a guillotine setup, its the key. BOOM, thanks, i like your videos.
Excellent nuance explanations and strategic tips. Great video production and camera work... I felt like I was sitting cross- legged on the mat just a few feet away!
Good stuff, I've been really wanting to add this to my arsenal, I've tried it a few times, but I think I telegraph it too much. I have been able to take the back from the grip though, when they go to defend, but I want to finish the choke. Thanks for the instruction!
Me again, I'm element 392 just using my other account. Been hitting this for the past six years. When I go to tournaments people know me as the loop choke guy. I also evolved this so much that I can hit it from closed guard and bottom side control. I also have incorporated my legs to block the body from escaping and reinforcing the head from popping ba k up. Can you please do a part two that digs deeper into this? Thanks in advance, AL Ghuneim
Feeling really bad for the demo partner. I know he saw the silver floaties a couple times and it wasn't even close to fully applied. This choke is tight and sneaky.
I rather see the whole move first then the small break down then the big break down... Like you see the cake then you know it has strawberries but inside is some bananas.
I can see where you coming from. There are, indeed, times when that would be better a presentation. If you just get a move from this one though, you've missed out on the true value.

Yeah, I believe that if you understand what you want to accomplish and why, the how can be created.
thanks again for the great instructional.

This is by far the best loop choke guide
Best loop choke video out there. Hit it 3 times my first training after watching this. Now I’m constantly looking for it. Thanks!

I've had varied success with loop chokes and got frustrated and stopped learning them. Thank you for opening my mind again.
At one point, I was the same.
Loved this instructional video. Just got my BJJ blue belt. Immersing myself in every technical video available - this is up with the best.
This video is magic. Thanks for posting!
The important parts of the video is everything but the choke! Very clever and very advanced instruction! 👍
Great detail. This has been one of my favorite subs lately.

Thank you, really awesome instructional
Not everyone wears a bathrobe to a fight I wish you would show some choke stuff that doesn’t revolve around grabbing his jacket.
@@UnhingedCanadian there's plenty of people showing how to do nogi chokes. Maybe seek that out?

Looks nothing like him?
Dude that’s exactly what I was going to say, even sounds like him! No disrespect coach!
That's comes across tiny bit racist Bro, I know that's not what you intended.

Game changer
Amazing, thanks.
Finally understand this choke. Can’t wait to try it again. 🔥
Very nice
I don't know how I'm just finding this video XD
Your sparring partner doesn't look too enthusiastic about letting you demonstrate on him.
Ty
Like the way you think.
This cannot be done no-Gi, correct? That would be an Ezekiel?
Either way, just became a huge fan of this, thank you!
The loop choke has quite a few similarities to the guillotine.
Sick
Does this only work if the guy is wearing a Gi?
Yes, but you can hit a different choke that is similar.
Kenneth Brown thanks great demo

Still can’t hit it bro
