    I got my Franks in November, and the Quality is the Best I have ever seen!! They have been Hell to Break in, but they are getting better every day.
    I use a Stiff Brush to clean them Every Sunday, and Apply some Obenaufs Oil afterwards. I’m in them 12hrs a day, 6 days a week, in Mud, Water, Lime Dirt, and Clay. Gotta keep them Clean, and take care of them, if you want them to Last!!
    Love the Videos Man

      You mentioned being in "mud and water" ... are these Waterproof? If not do they carry waterproof? Thanks

    • @todtalk3912
      @todtalk3912 Год назад

      @@BumpNrun69 most of their boots are by design, water proof, not necessarily meant to be drenched all day.
      It all comes down to the fact the leather is 7 to 8 oz leather which is literally the highest usable quality leather feom the top 3 leather manufacturers (they make the leather but they dye, tumble, add oils and waxes its a whole thing you should look into one day, its pretty cool).
      That also dictates how water proof they are. They make leather with more oils and waxes which consequently make it more water proof
      You gotta think of it like ur skin.
      You can dunk ur arm in water and its nit going to seap thru into ur body. Its kinda like the same principle.
      If you covered ur arm in wax and then dunked in the water, the water would just bead off of it.
      Anyway, leather is naturally water resistant. You can buy both, a leather that is treated for this, and then add oils or waxes designed to help make it even more water proof.
      They really are not meant to be standing in water all day. However, if u walk thru a creek or something you will not have wet feet with pretty much any boot they offer unless it goes up above the top.
      Just watch a bunch if videos, pick a style you like and if you want water proofing, get the leather that they offer to be the most water proof, each leather brand calls it their own name.

    Looks like maybe some salt from sweat on the Ariat boots. I've used white vinegar lightly on a rag to pull salt stains out of leather boots while cleaning. Don't go crazy with it. just when needed, and fallow with a full cleaning, and conditioning probably that bick conditioner or something else that won't darken them up if you're not trying to darken lighter leathers. Do more videos on you taking care of your leather. It's a great way to have more content, and you also have the benefit of your boots and bags not dry rotting out, because you are doing the maintenance the leather guys wanna see too. More content is always better for your channel.

    Company provided our mandatory work boots. Steel toe with metatarsal but there were 2 pins that went from metatarsal to steel toe that tore up your feet especially when new. A buddy couldn't take it and bought top of the line red wing boots for big bucks. Far superior but they said he wasn't allowed to work in them ? Toes all deformed from constant pressure. Good boots are everything when your on your feet all day.

    I do a bit of sheetrock, tiling, and general carpentry. In my experience, caked on drywall dust/joint compound dust, thinset, and mud really dry out leather boots. After work every other day, just take a wet sponge or damp cloth and wipe off your boots. I can see them drying out and this little bit of maintenance will go a long way.

The boots aren't symmetrical. The toe box on the left boot is noticably longer and bulbous. More clown shoes like. Right boot looks awesome.
