I just want to say thank you so much for this tutorial! This video took me a whole month in my free time to finish and replicate the final results as I had so many things to search and learn. All of my friends who saw the result were very surprised, including myself. I feel really proud of my dedication, but that is not to take away from how I was constantly amazed by your techniques. As I have ADHD, this form of quick pace, no explaining and only-showing-process videos is really beneficial for me. Thank you. Hopefully, I can find a safe way to donate as my region is kind of complicated.
I am so sorry bro, I am 15 and I don't have any money so I couldn't afford to pay for the file and downloaded it for free😔 I at least, wanted to support you by commenting so here I am. By the way, outstanding work👏
Hi there, I use the F2 addon especially when creating faces from single vertices, but yes it can be used also in other occasions. For the curves you need to enable the extra curves addon right in the Blender preferences.
i just saw you already answered this on another comment, and i gotta say i would be very interested in a tutorial explaining instancing, since currently i only know how to do it one way (parent to an object and select "instancing: Vertex" ) but this method is not very veritile
Hi there, you can also use constraints on your instances and target placeholders (as I did for my temple mesh). For sure Blender lacks a "use instances" checkbox when it comes to laying down arrays. I think I'll make a video on that. Cheers!
Hi mate, I think you are referring to the instances. You have to target the actual geometry (there are three collections, one for the column and two for the capitals).
Nice job, very enjoyable to watch.Especially, cause i am working on a project for antic roman site, that my company is doing for Vr..Way more beatiful with real geo.Caise for my assets, because of memory savings,i ussually just extract alpha decals for the details and bake on to normao map.
Hey there, it should be around half a million with all subd on. You could get way less if you'd bother playing around with instances (and work around their limitations). I'm thinking about making a tutorial on that!
Pls can redo this with your voice explaining and at normal speed . You will be adding value to someone's life and career if you do that. Txs soooo much in anticipation
What is this style of modeling called and what type of modeling course would you enrol into if you wanted to learn how to do this professionally please?
This style of modeling is called poly modeling. The internet is full of resources about modeling. Two prominent people teaching modeling are Arrimus3D and Andrew Hodgson. Polycount also has a lot of threads about modeling. I am not so sure about the professional part because modeling is not a job that guarantees a lot of prosperity at the moment. Some people made a good amount of money selling models online on websites like TurboSquid or Sketchfab but many people are not making a lot of money from selling models or working in the vfx industry. But hey that's my opinion on it. Everyone has their own opinion.
I would add that learning some hard surface modeling workflows is pretty useful as well since they teach you how to manage topology in complex contexts. Luckily enough there is a lot of good content for free out there on the tube.
@@hbitproject Hi man. Sorry to have bothered you. Your videos are really fast and it's sometimes hard to follow your exact steps. But nevertheless your videos are absolutely amazing. Thanks so much for taking the time and uploading it on drive.
Hello! You have a great technique but it will be nice to have the reference pics to make practice with your video. Can I ask you to have those? I really want me to do it alone :)
Hi, can I please know about the process of transforming the spiral curve shown at the start of the video into a stripe? I attempted to adjust the Extrude setting in the Spiral Object Data -> Geometry, but it only seems to extrude the curve vertically.
Hello, try to rotate it by 90 degrees on the x axis. Then apply the rotation and at this point extrude. You can then convertit it to a mesh if needed 👍
If you want to show a video from the category "See how I can", then it would be interesting if you did it out of stone. Everything else will impress, only if people understand exactly how you did it. And so, I don't see the point of wasting time on this.
So instead of making something their own and unique, today everyone just copies everything from real photos. And then they call themselves 3D modelers, yeah. A typical case.
it is really great video💗 ! but too difficult for me to study now ,I'm started to use blender for a few days and it's hard to understand the shortcut keys🥲🥲

beautiful work, and really good technic. Thank you
It's really nice to put the blend file for free
almost unbelievable! thank you for all of this inspirations and knowledge. and how come no one mentioned a twisted torus before?!
I am in awe
beautifull technic and thank u very much for sharing file.

Truly excellent.
Amazing! How long did this take you?
The modeling part took more or less 7 hours, plus there is a bit of planning behind. Cheers!
impressive
i adore your work!! a course for greek and gothic architecture on udemy will be an insta buy from me! heres hoping
Hi
4:52 why you don't use F2 addon?
5:30 Where all those curves are from?
Hi there, I use the F2 addon especially when creating faces from single vertices, but yes it can be used also in other occasions. For the curves you need to enable the extra curves addon right in the Blender preferences.
Why the change at 15:54? (I’m an architect and I’m confused which one is correct lol)
Hello! The first one is for corners, the second one for straight pieces. I kept both of them 😄
@@hbitproject Thanks! nice modeling workflow
Bro I can't find the egg (blueprint) reference image please send me link.
what's the final poly count of this? could i for example model a similar asset to use repeatedly in one of my architectural models?

how can I change the texture because its an empty object when selected?

Amazing!
This is very good, but hard to follow even at .25 speed, and of course a commentary would be nice. Still, thank you for uploading it.
Hey, how many faces did you get?
Hey there, it should be around half a million with all subd on. You could get way less if you'd bother playing around with instances (and work around their limitations). I'm thinking about making a tutorial on that!
could you post the non sped-up version of this please
Does anyone know the background music name / link???
Finding it useful, but could have been a little slower, especially at the beginning when youre forming the first spiral
