Dude not matter how much time I take away from the hobby, two things remain true your work never fails to impress and after watching your build I get a feverishly inspired to get back in the studio. Thank you

The Resin build is far beyond my skills but I want to second the KOSMOS LED Kit. I built the 1/100 Full Mechanics Aerial with it last Christmas and it was fantastic. Looks amazing and there is a great set of videos here on youtube that will walk you through the things you need to know. They are in Chinese but the steps are very clear and easy to follow!
The Aerial looks amazing and the paint job is immaculate, great work!

Really love watching your builds especially your final thoughts which give builders who are not as good as you (me) a lot of information on the kits may they be good or bad. I think it's worth the wait for your projects to come out as you are a very busy man!

Very good job on the build, I understand how time consuming resin builds can be. I wish you could have shown more of the finished build at the end.
My appreciation for making this a clean build, I’m tired of seeing weathered damaged build 👏🏻

This makes 2 of my greatest personal desires: Build a 1/60 kit, and make my first LED LIGHT CUSTOMIZATION. Despite the complications, it looks amazing!!

The way you always did the LED impressed me because drilling on painted parts sometimes ruined the paint job but what you did is very precise. 👌
If only I have time and long dayoff I want to do a build and paint like this esp. the Sinanju + Takumi parts.

The power of purple is great. I usually just let the parts soak 24 hours ( that mini break). I recently switched to trying Gaia's resin wash knocks all that mold release off in 10 mins. Amazing build man can't wait to see the next resin you will choose.

As always great Job buddy! I like the Kits from sh Studio, alone for the fact that they made some of the greatest mobile suits in 1/60 scale. And the kosmos led set for aerial is the best way to do it in my mind. Because the ms is really slim in his appereance on one side and has that complex pattern on the other hand. Btw it would like to See that you build sh Studios sinanju. XD i really love that ms. But i think that this would be at least an 1000 hour build

That looks like the kosmos led set, I'm not surprised it ended up breaking like that, as it was meant for the official 1/100 full mechanics aerial.

I think it’s just the size of the kos mos leds for 1/100 not being big enough for a 1/60 just for the head jewel

I'm not in the culture, so I really don't get from this video, what is the pros of building resin kits? Wouldn't it be better to wait for Bandai to release a PG Aerial? There's just so many risks and so many cons with a product that ended up not being posable and not being fully lit, is there something I'm missing?

    • @AssaultFlamingo

1 - Getting stuff the official brand won't put out. 3D printing/resin molds are much cheaper and more available than injection molding. Aside from UC, the only AUs that got Perfect Grade kits were SEED and 00: a PG Aerial might be released in a year, 10, or never. 2 - Detail and parts separation, depending on the manufacturer. 3 - Sturdier against certain kinds of paints. 4 - Sturdier in general, actually, regarding individual parts breaking. 5 - The challenge. Sometimes it's enjoyable to do something inherently harder.

@@AssaultFlamingodon’t forget wing zero got a pg. To be fair some resin kits cost more than standard perfect grades do.

Resin kits can get much higher detail fidelity than plastic.
Though I would not buy illicit kits like this.

Oops. I also broke the LED wire ribbon on my FM aerial project. My fingers slipped and pulled the head section of the LEDs clean off like a Christmas bon bon. 😂 most expensive FM kit I’ve ever built. 🤣🤣

Duuude I've been patiently waiting for this video for a while to see how you tackle resin kits and it looks amazing! I've done two resin kits and struggled to find really in-depth build tips and advice, this is the kind of stuff we need in the gunpla community. I'm not brave enough to tackle a 1/60 scale resin yet, but I have a 1/100 Force Impulse resin kit that will definitely benefit from what you've shown here with Aerial. Thanks again for all you do, keep up the great work!!

You should honestly consider yourself lucky you just got a couple migraines from it. Because lacquer based paints are extremely hot, as in they have solvents in them that will off gas extremely fast. If you can smell a lacquer based paint at all, much less if you're getting migraines from them, you are not protected enough from them. Repeated exposure to lacquer based paints will lead to what is called "Chronic solvent-induced encephalopathy", also known as "Chronic Painter's Syndrome" or as we call it where I'm from "Painter's Brain". Symptoms include: impaired memory, trouble sleeping, irritability, reduced cognitive function, and a whole host of other issues. This happens because of solvents getting into your bloodstream and then crossing the bloodbrain barrier, meaning the more it off-gasses, the worse it is to inhale or get on your skin.
I don't know how much of that you already know, but I think it's good for anyone to read in case they're wondering what the big deal with venting out paint fumes and using respirators and so on is about. Before various industries had safety measures put in place to avoid breathing fumes like this people were getting mentally handicapped from this stuff all the time. A generation or two before ours and every working person knew that you didn't mess with big painters, because the guy was likely bordering on insane from fumes and itching to fight.
Anyway, great video! It ended up looking awesome as all hell! That looked like so much work to get done just right.
