thanks for this, very helpful. I had to replace the trackpad in my v5, which meant taking the whole top off the laptop. wouldn't have figured out the ribbon cable fixings without this video just FYI - to remove the keyboard there are a couple of retaining tabs in the battery bay which save prizing it out from the top
Did you manage to fix this, if so how did you stop the keys sticking, we spilled coke on mine and I'm reluctant to remove the silver key frame from the black keyboard that sits behind it as it looks like it's plastic welded to the key frame, which makes life hard when replacing only the black part :< any help would be appreciated!
hy!i wanna know if the keyboard have lights?blue light..i saw in other acer v5 touch..i have to this model and I wanna know this..because my keyboard it`s without blue light
Very Nice video, I really needed it because a have to order a new keyboard for my Acerv5 471p backlit,, and they requested me to have a picture of it.. Is there any other keyboards compatible with that model sir?
I have to ask, where did you find a replacement keyboard? I've been looking for a UK version (back lit) for ages now and all I can find is either just the key pad and not the silver surround or only US ones :/
Thanks! I've managed to replace it, only problem was it didn't come with the silver frame work, and getting that attached to the keyboard was a nightmare, very fiddly and wouldn't recommend doing it, after replacing the keyboard I took the original and rinsed it off for about 5 minutes using warm water from a shower and now it works perfectly fine D: oh well!
How the fuck do you get inside of this thing!! trying to upgrade the shitty HDD that comes with this laptop to a SSD but my god this thing is a fucking Chinese puzzle box -_- I don't know what the fuck Acer was thinking by making it so hard to get in. So my ? is do I go in from the keyboard to get to the HDD???
Jeppe Løger Fuck it, I gave up, it's not my laptop If he wants the SSD in there he can pay someone to do it. because I'm not working on this pain in the ass laptop. I buy Asus because there good laptops and they are not a Chinese puzzle box.
Etard cam You have to take the keyboard off then remove five screws from under the keyboard and then remove all screws from under the laptop and take the palm rest off( remove cables first). My mate tried this and he ended up cracking his screen on the bottom right corner so BE CAREFUL. ruclips.net/video/aFVZT15fRg4/видео.html Not in english but you could translate or just go off pictures yepair.com/guias/guia-de-reparacion-portatil-disco-duro-hd-acer-aspire-v5-571/

linkaylomen1 i bought my keyboard in ebay, from japan its not backlit anyway, but still you can remove or attach its backlit board separately.
