I’m glad to hear the good news, Tim. Am coming back from a foot injury myself and it’s kind of two steps forward and one step back, but it’s progress!
Hang in there. It's tough. Injuries are so frustrating. I am wishing you a speedy recovery. Have a great day.
Very encouraging news Tim. A little progress goes a long way. Take it easy and short on the treadmill.
Hey thanks I appreciate it. Even though I'm on a treadmill in the Lever System... it still feels pretty great. Celebrate the little wins! Have a great Sunday.
Congratulations!
I even saw you salivating with so much joy ! Oh yeah !
Run, run ,run !
Hey thanks. I'm pretty happy to be lacing them up again. It feels so good to go for a run again... even using the Lever System. It works for now. Have a great Sunday.
Great news! Follow up visits for fractures usually involves getting x-rays each time to monitor healing. Does not mean bad news all the time! Be safe !
Thanks. Things are definitely looking up. I'm happy to be running again. I greatly appreciate all of your support. Have a great Sunday.
Good morning. Excellent news, Tim. ¡¡¡¡Welcome to the runners world!!!!!!!. Like from Spain. Have a great day.
Thanks. It's been way too long, and a whole lot longer than I ever expected to be. I appreciate all of your support. I always look forward to your comment. You are very positive. Have a great Sunday.
OHHH YEAH!! 🙌🏾🙌🏾🙌🏾
LOL... thanks! I appreciate it. I'm so happy to be back in my running shoes again. Have a great Sunday!
I feel lost if I go a day without a run so I can’t imagine what you’ve been going through. Good luck on the dreadmill mate.
Hey thanks. I really appreciate it. My bike has helped but it's not exactly the same. It feels good to be back running again. Have a great Sunday.
I am so happy to hear you can run again, great news!
Thanks I greatly appreciate it. Have a great Sunday.
Yes Tim, hey you can run , so good luck and go slow, im still injured but running anyway cuz nothing was figured out, but im still sad also cuz im not getting stronger, it's not hurting more it just keeps me from going longer, ok Tim see ya
I'm sorry to hear that you are injured. I hope you get well soon. Thanks for all of your support. Have a great Sunday.
Tim, I will keep you in my warm wishes and prayers. Actually, I visited my mother in Korea in early May. It was initially supposed to be an exciting trip, but abruptly turned into a nightmare. My mom fell in her bathroom (which gave her 7 broken rib bones 😢) just a couple of of days before we took off from TX. Taking her in and out of ER and weeks of hospitalization was more painful than I could ever imagine. Now, she is staying home in her recuperation, and I am back home to TX. I hope and pray for her fast recovery. Could you please wish her good luck as well, Tim?
Yes....I totally understand how you have felt and said "Rollercoaster of emotions"!!
Well, I hadn't been able to get around to running while I was staying there in Korea. (Guess I lost massive amounts of muscles in my legs. 😑😒)
I do wish you all the best of luck with your recovery, Tim. Stay well!!!!!🙏🙏🤞🤞🍀🍀🍀🍀
Oh no. Jean I'm so sorry to hear about your mom's injuries. I hope she gets well soon. How are you doing? That had to be a lot of stress on you as well. I'm wishing her a speedy recovery!
@RunTall Thank you so much for your concern and warm wishes for my mom, Tim. Yes, she is doing her best to stay calm and extra cautious not to push herself too much in Korea. As well aware, bone injuries (especially in the case of the elderly) take quite a while to fully heal. I pray her lingering pain will soon dissipate. 🙏
So, you are recovering well, right, Tim? I bet you always listen to your body and are trying not to overtrain throughout your annual plans for many races. Take good care, Tim!!!!! 🙏🙏🙏
I’m definitely wishing her a speedy recovery. I hope she gets well soon.
I’m recovering well. I have to go slow and easy when it comes to running right now. I’ll build up slowly and continue to ride my mountain bike and hit the gym for some strength training. I hope you are doing well!
@@RunTall Yes!!!!! I believe in your fast recovery as well, Tim. Stay healthy!!!
Camera A and Camera B in the car is next level 😉
I'm always trying to improve the videos... lol. Have a great Sunday. Thanks for all of your support.
heck yeah! Glad you're cleared to run and returning from an injury takes patience and gradual return to previous level. I actually got diagnosed with a medial condyle femoral stress fracture a couple of weeks ago and am not even cleared to ride my bike or do yoga. Best of luck with your recovery
Oh no! I hope you get better soon. Injuries are so frustrating. Take care of yourself and let us know how you are doing from time to time. Have a great Sunday.
@@RunTall Thanks for your response. I have seen your other video with the lever thingee. Is this something you would recommend. When and why did you purchase it and do you think it's a good investment? Thanks
It’s very expensive for what it is. You are paying for the design mostly. I bought one a few years ago when I was dealing with some IT band issues. I decided to buy it because I’ve been struggling with breaking an injury cycle and I wanted to have access to it when I needed it. I plan to continue to use it to some degree even after I’m fully recovered as a way to reduce the impact of training on my body. For me it was worth the expense. You can rent them for around $100 a month if you wanted to try before making that kind of investment. Get well soon!
You still have till June 24th for 16weeks, hopefully that's enough time to go from gradual running, to easy low volume week 1/2. I start my Chicago build on June 24, 5 weeks out from my last marathon where I've really taken it easy. Good-luck in the progression and I hope to see/meet you in Chicago!
Hey thanks Tim. I should be okay for Chicago. Riding my bike has definitely helped maintain my cardio. I think my fitness will return in pretty good shape. Have a great Sunday.
I would consider using the MAF method for your next block. This will help keep you healthy while you rebuild. Speed work of any kind would be out of the question if I were you. Good luck!!
He is training for the Chicago marathon so speed work is a must.
For now my speed work will be on my bike but I'll working it into my running over the summer. Thanks for all of your support. Have a great Sunday.
Ohhhh Tim there's NO WAY you can just go out and start pounding the pavement right after recovering from a stress fracture!!!!! If I were you, I would even be limiting it to 1min run 1min walk for a while!!!! Seriously!!!! You can't mess around with stress fractures!!! And also, ENJOY your limited running 'cause you're right... ANY running is better than none!!!
Hey thanks. I appreciate all of your support and sound advice. Have a great Sunday!
@@RunTall Don't wanna make you jealous Tim but today I slayed a tough 40km trail race, despite being struck with a cold earlier in the week ... my body started screaming at me at around 8km but I stubbornly kept going and ended with a lovely 4th place!!! I'm now thoroughly enjoying my well-earned DOMS!!!
Nice. Well done! That’s awesome. Congrats. I am a little jealous but for now I’ll live vicariously through you!
It’ll come before you absolutely know it. That’s what I was told didn’t do like 5 to 10 minutes on a treadmill super slow until I can build that up pain-free to at least an hour before allowed on the roads and I had to keep it around 12 minute miles or slower 4 to 5 miles an hour on the treadmill and then when I went outside, I had to keep it going real slow. I thought the treadmill would kill me, but but then I started moving outside and all the other stuff and I love running so it took a while, but finally got back on the trailwith me, they wanted me and super minimalist shoes so I could feel what’s going on what I said it’s a process but it’ll happen before you know it great speed but I’m running outside now and I’m running trails so just process
Hey thanks Todd. I greatly appreciate it. The Lever System definitely helps. I'll gradually work my way back to full body weight. I should be there by July and will be able to start putting in a few miles on the road. It will be a slow progression. I hope all is well with you. Have a great day!
Hey Tim, just a thought. Have you tried running with Stryd? I would recommend this if not already. Really solid plans and effective at preventing injury. Deffo worth looking into. Glad the news was positive 💪🏃♂️
I've heard that people are getting good results with Stryd. I haven't tried it yet. Thanks for the tip. Have a great Sunday!
I am working on my own return to run program after a femoral neck stress fracture. It is definitely slow going with run walk intervals. Ive been at it 3 weeks and can do 10 mins total of running without soreness next day. It is torture as i was running 60-80 miles per week pre injury
I hope you get well soon. It's really frustrating to be injured. Let us know how you are doing from time to time. Hang in there. Have a great Sunday.
I am sorry... I myself have not been able to run since October last year due to a knee/hip injury...
Oh no. I'm really sorry to hear that. Get well soon!!!!! I'm sending you good vibes. Have a great Sunday.
@@RunTall thank you. Stay well.
Do you really want to do everything in your power to prevent yourself from getting injured again? How about hiring a strength and conditioning coach who has experience working with runners? Or at least paying around $150 for a running specific strength and conditioning program? How about hiring a running coach? A good one can guide you through the return-to-running phase far better than an orthopedist.
Hey thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. Very sound advice. I really enjoy your channel as well. You've come along way over the last couple years. I'm impressed with the number of videos you've uploaded. You are pushing close to 1,000. Well done! Have a great day and keep up the great work!!!
@@RunTall I don’t have a channel
@@RunnerdJK My mistake. There is a running RUclipsr with a similar handle. Thanks again for the great advice. Have a great night. Stay safe.
