Not only is this song an absolute banger, but the way he introduces the song by incorporating it into the sliding gameplay so that it drops as soon as the minigame is over is absolutely amazing
For real, the way he gets us into the groove of the song before it properly drops makes us appreciate the music just that much more. Sometimes background music can just fade into... well, the background, if we're too focused on gameplay in the moment, but this song sticks in my mind even more because of the rhythm segment that introduced it. Such good game design.
i'm not going to lie, when the beat dropped directly after the short rhythm-like minigame i actually, verbally, audibly said "oh fuck you toby" he cant keep getting away with these bangers
You can clearly see how Toby’s game design has improved. He really made you WANT to spare enemies in CH2 (being the main advertising point of undertale, it didn’t do a good job of enforcing it). And the MUSIC has improved so much since CH1
Undertale is so great because you can choose which path you go. Pacifist was never the main advertising. The game has always been in a position of giving the player the choice of how to progress. Deltarune so far doesn't have a bad or good ending, so wether you kill or spare your opponents doesn't matter, which in a way is taking away the players choice of how they want the story to end. The theme of Deltarune is to be that of the player not having a choice, which is a complete opposite of Undertale, where choice is ultimately the game's best point.
this track feels so nostalgic yet is a new breath of fresh air, ya know? Same feeling I had of Fields of Hopes and Dreams. Damn Toby, I always find solace in your games' music
Why would you put something so relaxing in that infernal game (that would make it no so relaxing) But it does sound like something that would come out of GD
It’s gotta be the build up, waiting all this time for chapter 2. Then, when we get it, we start with a fake out intro like there was no wait. But once you get to the next dark world, and Susie points out the new adventure, getting the intro and reveal of a whole new world is amazing. Sorry for rambling m8, I just love this song so much
Has it really almost already been a year with chapter 2 i still remember my playthrough of the game and feeling like ive been through a (amazing) feverdream that was filed with charm, banger Songs and so much more.
Can't believe they used this sing as a demo for futar segments of the game and introduced a plot character at the beginning of the chapter in a little rythem minigame
This song will always remind me of when I got COVID during the same month and school started so I would listen to this to feel better while doing classwork and feeling like crap
thanks for watching lol

Imagine Undertale with the same enemy sparing enforcing as Deltarune CH2
He could do a remake of undertale in this style

This is the Field of Hopes and Dreams of Chapter 2.
Edit: I also just realized both songs start with a more simple beat.
yes that is typically how ostinatos work

The game is incredible, I felt happy, had some great laughs, and at the end I felt sad it was over for another few years.
I can't wait to hear the remixes that are gonna come out of this !!
But to be fair, this Song doesnt need a Remix cuz its already perfect
I feel like they'll have a hard time doing better than the original... Toby's set the bar really high for the music this chapter!
Absolute bop. My god this song is so good, They never stop cranking out amazing songs like damn
Are we just gonna have a field areas that happen to have absolute banger tracks at the beginning of each chapter?
Cause that'd be neat
First was Field of Hopes and Dreams, now this
This song had, by far, one of the best introductions in a game that I had ever. Sticking right inside my noggin.
Entering Cyber World is one of my favorite parts of the chapter, hands down.
When I played this game and heard this song my mind just stopped and I said out loud "great, another song to put on my playlist"
Toby Fox isnt just a game designing genius, but such a musical inspiration, like you cant tell me this isn’t a bop?
Toby is a musical madlad, just banger after banger!
I can’t believe deltarune 1 was almost 3 years ago, seems like yesterday.. This will be nostalgic later like the original songs were!

Deltarune used to be dead, but it's been revived. I'm so happy for that
My favorite part is at 1:06, that humming sound its so hypnotic and methodical
I agree!
Yeah someone poured some liquid nostalgia on this somehow.
I love how with each game the music sounds so unique but also so familiar
I imagine myself watching a bunch of awesome clips when I am hearing this.

The game just came out... and this song already gives med nostalgia
The way this track starts up in-game had me feeling an emotion I swear I've not felt since I was a kid.
