Kong: has a detailed, epic, soul-searching saga of his quest to find his true place, along the way discovering more of his own kind and fighting to free his people from an evil tyrant and change their society for the better Godzilla: just another Tuesday
I do like the idea that at the beginning of the movie Godzilla is just like "We have to do this again!?!? FINE, I will get ready for the fight", meanwhile Kong is like "alright we have to go here, there, down below, all around and then back here again."

This is the kind of movie where I can imagine the pitch meeting going _exactly_ like this. The idea that some studio execs had to, in detail, explain that one big ape hits other big apes with a smaller big ape to get to the second big lizard is hilarious
That's how a lot of franchises have operated for years. The 1986 Transformers movie happened because they wanted to introduce a whole new wave of toys. Executives didn't think killing off the majority of the previous generation would scar children like it did.

Pitch Meeting is my favorite channel in RUclips. Ryan George is a genius of explanatory comedy. The Pitch Meeting videos never stop being funny, to me, and that is quite amazing. Ryan George recently mentioned doing Pitch Meeting for older movies. I think the James Bond movie "A View To A Kill" is an excellent candidate for a PM. Christopher Walken is cast as genetically engineered German genius, who talks like a a New Yorker. His getaway plan involves a BLIMP that he has to slowly inflate, before he can escape, and Bond stops it by grabbing its rope. Remember the Walken's character is a GENIUS. The movie has a lot of potential for humorous takes on it's plot. Thanks for all the hard work, Ryan.

4:01 "Right, why would large lizard have any context for what's going on with underground giant monkeys?" The way he said this just made me lose my shit.
Out of all the pitch meetings Ryan's pitch meeting on Godzilla Vs. Kong was my absolute FAVORITE of all time and I've rewatched more times than I can count so I was absolutely ecstatic to see this pitch meeting go up. Thank you, Ryan! This pitch meeting did not disappoint, it met all of my expectations and EXCEEDED them. I laughed so many times and the new jokes are so fun. One of my new fave pitch meetings!
The Tiger King Pitch Meeting is also an all time great, if you haven't watched it recently. "I thought you said this is a documentary, but some of this is CLEARLY made up." "No sir, it just takes place in rural Oklahoma and Florida." "Oh thank explains it." I crack up every time 😂
THANK YOU for this Pitch Meeting! I was hoping you'd do one for Godzilla X Kong after seeing the movie and, by golly, you didn't disappoint!! I was LOL the whole time!!!
@@richardvinsen2385 ridiculously stupid is a fair description of this movie. It was also ridiculously entertaining and I do not regret my decision to pay my hard earned dollars to watch this on the biggest screen within driving distance of my home even a tiny bit.
@@richardvinsen2385 I mean, it was ridiculous, haha. But it's fun to just lay back for 2 hours, shut down your brain and enjoy big monster fight another big monster.
Ryan George, I'm in Montreal for a work conference all the way from South Africa! What a beautiful country this is. I was stoked to come here because my favourite RUclipsr is from Canada, i.e. YOU! Cool pitch meeting too! - From Keashia W.
I noticed when producer guy told pitch guy to say no more, in the silence we could hear background noise like in a real office. Ryan is a genious, genouis err,.. very smart guy.
When Godzilla and Kong first meet up in the movie I absolutely lost it when Kong was holding up his hands at Godzilla like “bro chill” and then when Godzilla attacks him he immediately hits him with the pocket sand! 💀💀
I was scripting this pitch meeting while watching the movie. Twice they did that thing where action scenes resolved off-screen, and I said, "It's gonna be tough for Godzilla to get out of that situation!" "Actually it's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience." "OH really?" "Yeah, he just takes care of it off-screen." "OH, decapitating monsters while off-screen is TIGHT!"
I think the "say no more" bit would have worked really well for an april fools video if it was followed by just 5 minutes of awkward silence between them. Good stuff as always tho!
Saw this yesterday and THOROUGHLY enjoyed it. The perfect ratio of human element to monsters knocking each other about. Highly recommended for anyone wanting to enjoy a movie and not necessarily think for a couple hours.
JESUS YESS!!!! That exo-skeleton hand; the SECOND I saw it in the movie, I was like "There's the obvious super-easy, barely an inconvenience moment right there!!" And you agreed!
Sometimes I worry I'm missing out by not watching these movies and just waiting for the Pitch Meeting, but then I watch the movies afterwards and realise these videos explain the films better than any viewing could

in regards to the late video this week, i hope everything is going alright and don't feel too pressured about it. take care of yourself and your family, we'll still be here for the glorious CONTENT when you can finish it without overstressing yourself :D
Oh, extracting a giant monkey's tooth is TIGHT!
It sure is!
It's also super easy, barely an inconvenience!
Oh, really?
That's why you need a big crane plane thing.
"Splendid"
My new favorite Producer Guy line.
4:40 “Close one! That monkey almost did an ice age.” Replayed that line so many times, incredible work
Cringe
4:01 "Right, why would large lizard have any context for what's going on with underground giant monkeys?"
The way he said this just made me lose my shit.
"I thought you said this is a documentary, but some of this is CLEARLY made up."
"No sir, it just takes place in rural Oklahoma and Florida."
"Oh thank explains it."
I crack up every time 😂
I like the Marvel/Sony Spiderman pitch meeting where Sony producer guy steals spiderman writer guy from marvel producer guy 🤌🏽🥹
Of all the corniest comments I've read on YOutube, this one is the absolute worst and corniest. Log off bro.
THANK YOU for this Pitch Meeting! I was hoping you'd do one for Godzilla X Kong after seeing the movie and, by golly, you didn't disappoint!! I was LOL the whole time!!!
Why would you see this movie? I just don’t understand how someone would decide to do that.
I watched that movie a few days ago and it was so insane that I have been excited for the pitch meeting since then.
I've been checking daily since March 30. Also why do you have a blank profile picture?
You actually watched this movie? They seem so ridiculously stupid. And getting more stupid with each one they make.
@@JohnCena8351 I need a little more than that to be entertained. These movies seem like an insult to our intelligence.
Twice they did that thing where action scenes resolved off-screen, and I said, "It's gonna be tough for Godzilla to get out of that situation!"
"Actually it's gonna be super easy, barely an inconvenience."
"OH really?"
"Yeah, he just takes care of it off-screen."
"OH, decapitating monsters while off-screen is TIGHT!"
Ending pitch meetings in 15 seconds is tight.
Also, you two keep getting better and better.
i dont even go to the movies anymore, thanks to this channel.
Sounds miserable
Watch this. This is one of those that's only fun to watch in cinemas.
"This thing knows what it's like to chew Five Gum" 😂 gonna be quoting that one, brought back good memories.
I think the "say no more" bit would have worked really well for an april fools video if it was followed by just 5 minutes of awkward silence between them. Good stuff as always tho!
Watching Godzilla suplex Kong off the top of the great pyramid was the greatest moment in cinematic history
For all the cinematic failures of the last decade, that we had some guys in a room talking about THIS scene…. Is definitely a shining moment.
Normally I love cerebral films...but these Kong vs Godzilla films are delightful 😅
(National Geographic meets WWE) lol
Fun fact: The way they portray Godzilla in the MonsterVerse was inspired by The Undertaker.
The "Say No More" joke was a superb addition hahaha. Great Job Ryan as always! Cheers from Montréal!
I was really expecting that part where Godzilla and Kong play volleyball with Skar King before freezing him.
"Do you remember the human characters from the last movie? :D"
"ABSOLUTELY not"
The banter and comedic timing were off the charts for this one! Going to use ctrl-Z in my daily conversations going forward 😂 love this channel
I am totally going to start working "Ctrl Z" into everyday speech.
I'll Ctrl C you on that!
Me too. That was my favorite part.
I've definitely had times when I was writing on paper and thought to myself "I need to control Z" before I realized I cannot do that.
So simple "Backspace" has run its course?
@@EdgarRoock It would seem so.
Sometimes I worry I'm missing out by not watching these movies and just waiting for the Pitch Meeting, but then I watch the movies afterwards and realise these videos explain the films better than any viewing could
Not this one, this is a very visual movie. Actually seeing Kong smack a big monkey with a smaller monkey is so much better than just hearing about it.
This pitch meeting is by far a better film than the movie it's lampooning, don't waste your time.
@@noneyabizz8337 Mmm, no.
The first 30 seconds of this was absolute gold, and it only got better from there. Fantastic job on this one Ryan.
I’ve been waiting for this ALL Week!!!
I don't even know why, but the "We'll be fine" at the end was the biggest laugh for me.
This was definitely some of your best work. Loved the “say no more” joke, had me dead😂
Dude... your facial expression after "This thing knows what it's like to chew 5 Gum" is hilarious!!!! Great pitch meeting, spot on, on all counts :)
Producer : Say No More ,
Screen Writer : OK ,
( Weird silence surrounds them )
Producer : Now you can say more .
The Most Iconic Lines of Comedy .
Bumblebee from Transformers was just hanging around, so they turned him into Kong's yellow glove real fast. My idea! "Works for me!" (but we can't use their real names, due to Copyright.)
Replacing the catch phrase “hey shut up” with “that was a close one” is tight!
Gonna need you to Ctrl Z all the way on that one.
One of my favorite Pitch Meetings! Absolutely hilarious, well done Ryan.
So many years of these and I STILL LOVE THEM SO MUCH. Please never stop making them, they are 90 % responsible for sustaining my mental health
‘That’s the team?’ - hahahaha my exact same reaction while watching it.
This Pitch Meeting is tight!
0:10 “Ohh, who they punch?” 😂
This video might have the two greatest lines you’ve ever written.
“Using children as weapons is tight! Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah!” and “He knows what it’s like to chew 5 Gum.”
Those, and the CTRL+ Z..
"So you remember those human characters from the last movie?"
"Absolutely not!"
1:55 "Oh, using a child as a weapon is TIGHT!" is not something I ever expected to hear someone say so enthusiastically.
I cannot believe that you managed to outdo yourself, but this has to be my new favourite pitch meeting. The delivery is just so perfect, and the jpm rate is off the charts... Thanks Ryan!!!
This is honestly one of the few times that pitch meeting actually made me wanna see the movie. I too enjoyed bashing toys together as a child!
It's ridiculous and wonderful. 10/10 as long as you're not looking for logic or seriousness. Leave those at the door.
@@manaash4316thank you. I went to see dope looking monsters go boom and I got exactly what I needed. 10/10
I liked how expressive the monsters are.
The story was alright tbh, it helped explain some of the lore a bit better, but let's be honest we all came to see giant lizard and monkey fight other giant lizard and monkey.
They didn't disappoint at all
Getting a Monarch S2 announcement + Other Monsterverse spinoffs announcement + G×K Pitch Meeting on the same day is tight! 🦖🦍
Loved Godzilla X Kong and loved this pitch meeting too!
I thought I was the only one who stands and stares quietly at a wall for the entirety of my break at work.
