Have you checked out Hertz drums already? What do you think? Please note that there is already a newer Hertz drums update as mentioned in the video. It is version 1.2.1. Checkout their facebook community posts for news about updates: facebook.com/groups/846535319638200
This was an excellent tutorial. I downloaded the demo yesterday and the drum samples are punchy and top quality. Definitely going to purchase the red pack. Thank you for the cubase drum map download too, that is a lifesaver!
Just bought the full version and the red pack today and it sounds fantastic. Quick question though, is there any way to make the interface screen any bigger?
You are truly a master of Cubase! I kindly wanted to ask you two things, first, when you render the midi, have you ever tried to use the dynamic velocities parameter (to then select all the hits and bring them to the right sound level of the VST) or do you use only the fixed velocities, so how if they were one shot samples to be blended with the acoustic tracks? Second, have you ever used the stock midi gate plugin instead of hit points detection?? I remember a friend of mine using it when there is a lot of bleeding in the track, but honestly I don't know how to do it! Best regards!
Thanks. I tried the dynamic velocity on this track first as well but the variation was too much. I guess drum hits were too inconsistent. I never used the midi gate plugin no, but it’s a nice idea that I might try to see how it works.
Yes they do. You can put the drum map anywhere you want. I have a separate folder with all the drum maps I use. You just need to load it in Cubase as a a drum map first before you can use it. Via drum map setup - functions - load. Maybe I should make a video about it ;).

Thanks Maarten - I love your style of teaching for Cubase :-)
Well thank you very much again Kenny. You're getting to be the channel's biggest sponsor like this ;).

I don't think so. Not in the version I was running in this video anyway.

Great video, thanks! I've purchased Hertz drums a couple of weeks ago and they sounds really good. Where to place the Hertz drum map?

@@LanewoodStudios I will try that.
Thanks a lot!!
Is there anyway to route mono outputs?
Hmm, I think they provide stereo outputs only.

You should just be able to buy it and download it from the Stenberg website.
