    Thanks a lot for that clear and concise video. Would be useful to have a similar video on how to "time correct" a whole-band performance (e.g. drum + bass + guitar + keys) based on a Tempo track extracted from, for example, the drum performance to retain the overall "human" feel but make the whole band tighter. May be very useful when you're only mixing and have to live with the recorded tracks you were given ...

    Hello Dom! Always nice to see videos from you. Some are really helpful, even for a very old Cubase user. Unfortunately, I cannot update past the v10, so I was wondering if using the warp tool under the arranger window is off-limits for our version. Was a very nice approach of tighten a drum performance, due to the difficulties (at least mine lack) using the quantize setup window to do the same. Thank you!

    Hi Dom. Is it important to consider 96khz file recordings for this new function?
    Compared to the past, when a part was usually just moved around during editing, with the warp function I guess Timestretching happens.
    I think a workflow for this could be, record at 96khz, edit, and after the mix do the conversion at 48khz.
    What do you think?
    Thank you for your videos always passionate and very well explained!

    • @NeonAlgo

    What are your thoughts with the group editing way of editing drums where you set the hit points priority (kick, snare, etc) and then slice, quantize and cross fade? I do both. But the method you are explaining is cleaner looking.

      But What about the phase then?

    • @DiegoParedes
      @DiegoParedes Год назад +2

      @@suyashmishra6083 it is still phase coherent. Doesn’t change phase. You group and by giving priority for example to the kick. It will move the kick with the rest of the audios relative to the kick. It does not for example quantize to grid the room mic (which has a normal delay compared to the kick).

Would you have to break it apart and work on each song as its own project and then somehow put them all back together again so it plays as a continuous show, or is there a way to change the tempo before each song and then grid just that song to that new tempo without affecting the others?
