Love, love, love the cowl, Mary! One of my fave necklines! I have that New Look pattern, and am looking forward to seeing yours! 💗

Thank you Andra!!! I do love a good cowl in the winter, they are so cozy-not in today’s weather but I can’t wait to wear it! I remember putting that new look pattern in a bag thinking-“everyone says this one is easy so I will have to try it!” I hope you have a great week ❤️❤️❤️

Your top turned out so well! I’m glad you kept the sleeves and cowl and everything. It’s going to be great in a few months

Thank you Erin! I’m glad I didn’t take it apart too - just goes to show if a project is frustrating me- I just need to put it aside for a while and go back to it later😍Have a great weekend! ❤️❤️❤️

Hi Mary! So glad you didn’t mess with the top too much and that was such a quick one to do 👏🏻. So… the dice have chosen my favourite pattern and I actually made it this week😂. That viscose is going to be perfect for it. I find I don’t need to make the seam in the back with the closure, I just cut front and back on the fold, the neck is quite wide so make sure that doesn’t need adjusting. It really is the prettiest of fabrics. Now I wonder….. what would the cover up/cardigan look like in the same fabric as well? Like a Twin Set?! Interesting thought… you test it so I know if it works 😂😂😂😂 Thanks for joining in the game xxxxx❤

😂😂Carole you crack me up! Now I’m curious… maybe I just might try it 😉 I figured you would love the pattern that was chosen ! I do have to do some adjustments I think but good idea on not doing the closure -thanks! Hope your top is coming along nicely for your wheel choice!! Happy sewing ❤️❤️❤️

I'm really glad that you finished the cowl as it is beautiful on you. I love that color! I don't know if you've ever tried this, but when I sew with rayon challis, I usually spray starch and press the entire piece of fabric first before I even cut it out. And if I have to make bindings, I might even spray starch those again when pressing them after cutting. The spray starch just gives the fabric more body and makes the whole process easier for me. I also really love that red fabric and hope your top turns out well.

Hi Nadine! Thank you so much you are so sweet! I had heard about spray starch for bias binding but what a great idea to do before cutting🤯- that fabric is so fiddly to cut out- that would make it stay still long enough to be cut? 😂Thanks again, and happy sewing! ❤️❤️❤️
