"I'm not ashamed but i leave pretty angry" relatable
😂
My man, it is very inpirational to see your vides, am 6 foot, grabing rim but not really close dunkin
Am starting my process to beacome a human rocket right now so wish me luck! 💪
You got this shit bro
Riq your videos are very inspirational! I am currently restarting my own dunk journey and the last minute of your video is so true. Feeling like looking stupid at the gym? So what..
Peoples perspectives on you don't really matter. It's how you perceive yourself
I recorded from the start :) I started training 2 years ago and had an 18 inch vert. Now I have a 37 inch vert. I'm going to make a nothing to windmill video once I get a windmill.
I better see it
Bro do you achive 40 inch jump
my man congrats on your vert. im 14 and i have a 32 inch vert. is that good? im 5'7 and now can almost touch the rim.
I think your ball needs more air. It looks like it doesen't bounce high enough. that was a problem for me sometimes when I was throughing lobs to myself. Also, I would try to catch with one hand to begin with.
Please make a video on bodyweight strength exercises for vertical jump please
I have one on my channel already
ive been trying to ask this question bro🙏
is doing max jumps as a beginner instead of other plyos more effective or as affective?
I'm pretty sure I answered this already but doing both plyos and max jumps are necessary! You just gotta control the volume
I live in New York so I am I suppose to practice dunking when it’s cold outside bc I can’t consistently dunk on a 10feet rim
Indoors would be the most ideal
I started this journey at 5'6 24 inches vert when I was 16. Fell in love with jumping high after watching the legend TDub who was close to my height at that time. It's been over 10 years and there were so many mistakes I have made but in the recent 2 years, I have been putting my mind completely into jumping higher and now I'm at 5'8 with a vert of 34 inches and I'm still getting consistent at it. I can touch the rim but not palming it yet so I guess there's still at least half a year progress but gaining 10 inches feel unreal. Even though I'm taking higher fall damage whenever I jump, I can't help but feel happy about it, knowing my hard work pays off.
Now, if only I can get rid of the last 5% body fat, how amazing would it feel? (15% currently)
10 inches is insane! The feeling of my making progress is the best
@@RiqB From the beginning of the journey up to now, it was a duration of 10 years, however, I was doing all the wrong things trying to increase my vert. Air Alert was a thing back then, we had no clear information like it is today so I made a lot of mistakes including doing excessive reps with minimal effort to try and hit sets number. There were ups and downs like gaining weights because I was getting nowhere and I also torn my ACL since I was too overweight to land safely with all the forces on the way down (24 inches still hurt tendons and ligaments if landed incorrectly).
Long story short, I picked up learning how to jump again roughly 2 years ago, been progressing from where I have left off post ACL and I started from 27~28 inches vert because I lost some weight, been hitting the gym again and I was a couple of inches below the rim. Now I can consistently touch the rim so it's 32~34 inches depending on the day. Finding out people who share the same journey is such a wonder man, I feel blessed because people my height can jump high and dunk, which means that with the right amount of effort, I can too, and everyone I know can too.
You are an inspiration! 🔥
@@QuangNguyen-vf3nz It's all about if you're improving yourself! It's great that you're looking at others as inspiration instead of comparing yourself to them. I made the mistake of comparing myself to guys like dom dunks and tony crosby but those guys are just on another level haha! I use them as inspiration to keep working. I appreciate you bro!
Bring back the 2020 hair
I work 3 days plyometrics out of the week 2 days two foot and one day 1 foot . Is that good ?
Not really necessary to divide 1 foot and 2 foot days. But at least 2 plyo days and 1 leg day per week is good
@@RiqB can I still do it tho?
Hey man what kind of camera do you use for RUclips?
Sony zve1
@@RiqB thanks
The last 1 minute was actually touching bro
Its one of the best things I've learned!
