This is a new 2023 master transfer of Journeys last concert on the Escape tour. I had originally found this tape on Facebook and we quickly... (NOT) had it transferred. We had thought this was a brand new source until we listened to it. Some how I found the masters of the already circulating concert. This concert is fairly decent, theres some hiccups here and there. Most notably, Steve Perry messes up Open Arms and sings a verse wrong. Another thing is that Neal messes up on Keep on Runnin'. ALSO, this recording was incomplete as it was missing the encore but techtuts has merged it with the old source. Special thanks to all of those involved in getting this out.

Steve Perry choked up a couple times during this time because His Mama was in front of him in the front row. She was very sick at the time as they locked eyes more than a few times. She was happy that Stevie's dreams were realized but sadly it was the last concert she was able to go to.

Thank you for posting this. I was at this concert. Journey, Blue Oyster Cult, Triumph and Aldo Nova all made for a great day at the Rose Bowl, what a show!!!!! I was just a 16 year old kid, me and my best friend had just gotten our driver's licenses 2 days before and we celebrated by hopping into his 72 Chevy Nova and driving 40 minutes to the Journey concert. Great memories.

This was a GREAT show, but lets not forget the Summer Strut at Anaheim Stadium two weeks later, July 17th, with Loverboy, Scorpions and Iron Maiden...
What a great time to be alive and some great rockin' music.
Wow, what a great lineup. Didn’t know about that one.
I guess Anaheim was too far for me (I was only 14).
At least I got the chance to see this concert at the Rose Bowl.
Later in life I got the chance to meet Iron Maiden in 2008 and shuttled them from LAX to Van Nuys Airport.

Like others who shared- I also attended this show....remember every moment and the 'sleep over' the night before prior to our early start to the Rose Bowl venue...This was a huge event for kids from my Highschool. So many attended. Tour T-shirts galore the next school week...
Oh yea it was a big show, everyone went, I still have the t-shirt in my drawer.

Not old enough to have been there, but I am from Whittier and my mom almost saw journey in 86
I was 16 years old and paid $16.50 for my ticket, it was this concert and ALDO NOVA, TRIUMPH, BLUE OYSTER CULT and finally JOURNEY, it was so memorable, I’ll never forget the experience this 4 th of JULY weekend and an awesome FIREWORKS 💥

I was there at this one. The band line up was Aldo Nova, Triumph , Blue Oyster Cult and Journey. This was my first concert. I just turned 14 the month before.
