Hi Kill-O-Byte. Any chance you can do an upstream O2 sensor change on this MPV please. Cheers
took out the throttle body and sprayed the inside of manifold and the throttle body, nothing bad happened, just that the jerky situation when going past 60km per hr slightly improved
@HAITI ZEN SOU ZEN error codes says lean condition. So the mech worked on the injectors, swapped some ignition coils and entire plugs. That solved it but did not save me money. After the work by the mech , i now have hard starting, changed fuel pump but no improvement . the error code is bank 1 oxygen sensor which will not cause hard starting. Just 4 weeks ago
That hose is realy not easy to reach the filter its a project in its self 😂

Hi I have mpv 2005 and what happens when the vehicle is on in neutral The columns go high alone and go down and go up again Do you know this problem? Clean the throttle house Replace plugs and coils In a computer test only a faulty oxygen sensor appears sitting on the exhaust. Could it be related?
It's been a week since the vehicle was in the garage and you can't find the problem of the columns climbing alone
I live in NY - winter is here and today I pushed my gas pedal to the floor to go around someone annoying. The throttle stuck wide open. I hit the brake hard and it released the throttle. Was not using cruise control. Went around a corner and I floored it again and it stuck wide open again. Do you think that's the result of a dirty throttle body?
It could be a sticking throttle body. The things I would check include:
Throttle body - manually open the throttle body to see if it is smooth and check if it closes freely at wide open. I'd clean it also while you have access.
Linkage - check the linkage that works the throttle body. Verify that it's not binding. I'd spray some thin lubricant on it.
Throttle cable - check the condition of the throttle cable. Verify that it isn't frayed and that it moves freely when at full opened position.
Gas pedal - check to be sure it moves freely and isn't getting caught on something like a floor mat.

I did a search on sticking throttle Mazda MVP and yours came up. I did a video on YT also, showing our long hair chihuahua after open heart surgery - 2.5# dog! Look up Gracie PDA and watch for 3 a 3 min story. I will get back to you when I do the cleaning.
Is this the same 2005 you changed the brake pads and changed sparks plugs and coils on a few months back?

I have a racing idle. It sits at 2500 or so idling. In drive about 1500. It accelerates without pressing the pedal. Trying to find a solution.

the nut you removed really was unnecessary it was really easy just had to pull the whole thing up no need to remove the nut
Hi, I have a 2005 MPV and last night on my way to work sitting at the stop light while the van was running normally idling it just decided to shut off. No choking or anything like that. Any idea to help me pinpoint it?

I've replaced the fuel pump relay, fuel filter, and fuel pump and still nothing. I turn the key to see if I could hear a buzz from the pump but nothing. Any solution before I take it to the shop? Please help.

Good question. I googled it and got an answer: Yes you can. But don't do it the other way around; don't use throttle cleaner on the mass flow sensor.
