finally a premium bandai that is worth calling premium. extra parts that the normal release can live without and great parts plus good color separation.
This would be perfect for the Super Nova Hangar/Cage, that has a notch in the front that will mate perfect with the back of this setup, but will be a HUGE display.
just snagged the reprint on pbandai but ouch hearing that old price of just 2600 yen hurts when its was 48 usd with shipping from the official source but I prefer the base thunderbolt gundam and don't want to just box up all the armor.
the RX-78's beam rifle did have ammo, but it wasn't easily replaceable, so the Gundam would typically just toss the rifle and use it's beam saber when the rifle was out. Thunderbolt takes place at the very end of the OYW, around the same time as War in the Pocket. at that point in the war the GMs were just as powerful as the RX-78 and used much of the same tech.
Jango The Blue Fox the Gundam is the exception. it's weapons Drew power from the mobile suit itself. that's why it was the only one that could use beam weaponry. the first complete GM was the command. every other version before that was a quick answer to the zaku
the RX-78's beam rifle used ammo. there are alot of moments in the original series where the Gundam's beam rifle runs out of ammo and it has to switch to the beam saber.
Hmmmm, so I guess Full Mechanics Barbatos Rex uses the same base stand. I noticed the same parts used and i was wondering why there weren't any screws just like the standard base stand
Ryzearn I picked up the kit at release and personally I would say no. The weapons all have pretty bad seams even though aesthetically they look nice $60 is not worth four weapons.
Hey! I noticed when I opened mine there is some small notes that say the box art is actually from the Manga artist of GTB. Just thought I might add that! Nice review as always!
I would have bought this add-on set if it wasn't P-Bandai. I love the way the Gundam looks with it's armor off but I hate having to leave all that armor inside a bag in the box. if I can ever find this set at a reasonable price I'll try to buy it.
It would be cool to try to modify the outer armor onto a different kit, like the new GM Sniper II for example. Or even build it into a diorama where you just have the armor exploding off the Gundam, then you don't need to modify anything to actually fit ;)
actually since the design and scale of the FA Gundam Ver Ka is so similar to the original RX-78, it would probably be really easy to put that armor onto the 2.0 kit.
+ZakuAurelius I was on the fence about the Bawoo until I saw the P-bandai version. If it was a recolor I'd be fine, but it has so many different parts.

indeed!
lol "when a mommy beam rifle and a daddy beam rifle love each other very much..."
If you remember from the previews of this set, apparently they had previously misnamed this as "Weapon & Armor Hunger", which is amusing.
YEah, I was hoping that would stick thought the final printing...
The best Gunpla and mecha reviewer on RUclips, bar none...
Ehh... arguable but he's definitely up there for sure
hah, thanks Jim! I'd agree with the other reply that that's questionable, but glad to have your vote!
The double bazooka reminds me of the Halo rocket launcher. That’s giving me some ideas
"Ya like jazz?"
don't👏claim👏you👏like👏jazz👏if👏you👏dont👏know👏who👏this👏is👏
I still cant believe I bought this kit without bothering with a dirty price tag LOL
Haven't built it but sure is gonna be great addition to my FA78
This would be perfect for the Super Nova Hangar/Cage, that has a notch in the front that will mate perfect with the back of this setup, but will be a HUGE display.
you could definitely do that!
You need another kit for that. Having both in display is a must I think.

Just hope they'll make a similar thing in the hg scale
HG's armor is not removable.
Joeie Rivera I know , but it would be nice to have those weapons and the stand
Firmly grasp it....
hahaha, I love Spongebob season 1 references ;)
Just seeing those weapons for MG made me wonder. Can I use HG weapon kits for my RG kits or do they not work together ?
weapon and hand sizes may not be compatible, but that's easy enough to fix if you don't mind a tiny bit of modification.
Do you mean thickening/loosing certain parts or is it more about making my own peg marks ?
I'm planing on getting this and the FA together
Won't be cheap! But if you're a Thunderbolt fan then it makes a great display piece!
Isn't thunderbolt during the OYW, so how and why does the beam rifle have ammo? Weren't those introduced later?
I think Thunderbolt plays fast and loose with the lore, but really so does everything post 0079.
yeah pretty much.

Forever alone gundam!!! Finally got mine
That title is quite the mouthful!
indeed! surprisingly i actually got it all out on the first try! ;)
Can it even hold those weapons with the armor on?
Hmmmm, so I guess Full Mechanics Barbatos Rex uses the same base stand. I noticed the same parts used and i was wondering why there weren't any screws just like the standard base stand
yep it does! just snapped that for the next review!
Would this be worth getting if you just wanted the weapons and the normal action base parts or would you consider it to pricey
Ryzearn I picked up the kit at release and personally I would say no. The weapons all have pretty bad seams even though aesthetically they look nice $60 is not worth four weapons.
If you can do like I did and find someone who only wants the base, then you can split the cost! That's what I'd recommend you to try!
Just buy it if you want it. If you entered a hobby, price is nothing.
Where did you get yours?
Hey! I noticed when I opened mine there is some small notes that say the box art is actually from the Manga artist of GTB. Just thought I might add that! Nice review as always!
I figured that! But just didn't mention it in the video. I'll have to go back and read the material in the box more carefully.
How i can get one of these in 2021? Bandai should do a release of this
More awesome weapons are always good
Just finished building my Mg Fa Gundam, is this worth it if i also buy this hangar?
if you have extra money then yes
What was the name of the jazz song?
Daniil io fleming's theme
I really wish bandai would just sell extra action base arms without having to buy the base. Even if it only saved a dollar or 2 it would be worth it.
Can i ask?... what happen to the MG AGE-3 And AGE-FX?
Nobody liked age enough so they cancelled the mgs
Steffey will the re launch it?
Bahaki Bayu sadly they propably wont :| but hey Im happy Mg justice gundam is Comming out and Another Mg and im Broke XD

Just curious, does the term "Ver.Ka." mean anything in itself?
hippoace means version katoki
Er....and what does katoki means?
hes a gundam designer and has very detailed designs of various gundams
Oh thank you! I have been trying to figure this out for the longest time.
Why Bandai! Don't get me started with the Bawoo.
What's wrong with the Bawoo? You upset about the P-Bandai Rebawoo?
Probably upset it's not an MG. Pfft.
+ZakuAurelius I was on the fence about the Bawoo until I saw the P-bandai version. If it was a recolor I'd be fine, but it has so many different parts.
I need the name of that song.
I got you fam. "witchy britches"
I want this so bad but no one ships to the US for a reasonable price
I think it's expensive. Do you?
Sorry but when you show the hangar you showed middle finger
Yes he needs to cut it off
all that English!
great eh!
I will never understand why you all caps "unboxing"
No reason!
it makes it way more exciting, obviously you would want to yell it. DON'T YOU KNOW ANYTHING ABOUT ALL CAPPS?
gunpla exploded schematics..
