The fact that this PVC pipe can be remoulded so easily tells me it’s probably not going to last. No wonder it cracked in the first place 😂
remoulding tue pvc weakens it significantly
I'd be worried it's gonna leak. Pvc isn't bad but I would have just put a regular pvc
I would use this method as a "temporary" repair only. There should be a way to get the old pipe out from the inside and run a new length through the brick wall. I like his ingenuity, but I would be concerned about the pipes cracking again, especially if something hits it outside.
this is a good example of how not to do this
Ingenious resizing with a heat gun. Haven't seen that technique before. But in the US we use thicker PVC pipes than you're using in Peru. Still, fun to watch.
Thats great work 👏......now do it with schedule 40 which is 98% of the pipe you'll see in a scenario like this in the US 🇺🇸
I can't comment on that. Here in Peru this pipe is under the norm, it seems very thin, but it is very resistant.
@@GasfiteriayElectricidad we had that exact type of pipe for a small amount of time before it was disused because of how fragile it was. I've got some left in my house and I replace it with pex as it breaks down. Just really low quality stuff.
That pipe is cheap and thin no wonder it breaks. We have schedule 40 in the states and we also have bits to drill pipe out of the fittings. However I give this man credit for his intuitive skills.
For those that don't know, there's a tool called a "socket saver" that's made for jobs like this. It helps so much.. I used to use that tool when I worked on swimming pool plumbing...
I love how resourceful he is though. Sure there are "official" ways to do things, but I like that he figures it out 👍
@@cappyjones que
@@cappyjones The most concerning for me would be collecting insurance money after a fast DIY solution. They will squirm and whine to get out of paying anything.
I like the skill though.
From one plumbing apprentice to another. THANK YOU SIR!
The tool is called a inside cutter the socket saver is used to reem out the socket on a fitting
I haven’t seen pvc that thin here in the states. Very nice repair!!!😇
Its DWV
I agree that don't even look like schedule 40
pipes are standardized and regulated in Peru
Never gonna
Pvc schedule 20 easy to handle with the heat gun, not a fan but it works
That is such a cool cheap way to make an internal tube cutter, love it. Thanks!
Bro there like 15 bucks at Lowe's. Like how cheap do you want it to be.

You know doing that creates blockage overtime. Due to the fact that the part you have inserted is an outlet for the drainage. Particules will keep gathering and then eventually its blocked up.
Finally someone noticed the possibility of choking.
that was the first thing I thought of when I saw him stick that piece of pipe in there if there's more than water coming through there that's going to cause a problem and then they might have to tear the wall out if they can't get under the house to it not a good way to do plumbing
With the orientation of the pipe and the wall, the only thing i could think is it's for a sump pump discharge. Otherwise why is there pipe outside where you can hear cars? And it's 1.5". So that limits your uses as well
@@stevenbennett9425 In 10 years’ time perhaps. Then repeat the same process.
@@androsc1418 and if you do it right the first time in 10 years it will still be flowing freely
Saludos MAESTRO.
Q buen video.
Felicitaciones.
Very ingenious, recovering what seems impossible. Very impressed.
Can't do this with SCH 40 PVC haha. That is the cheapest looking pipe I've ever seen.
Buenos días maestro excelente maestro
Those were some amazing tricks. Couldn’t see how the heck that could br fixed. Absolutely cool👍😉
Tremenda idea gracias por compartirla y mucho éxito 👍🏻😃
Muchas gracias 🤗
I really like your well thought out common sense approach to repairs, you’re a clever and talented person, thanks for your work
BROTHER, YOU ARE THE BEST!!! You oooh really helped me!! THANK YOU VERY MUCH!
Ingenious, and masterful work! But I must also mention, that brick mortar finish was quite the opposite! 🖖🤣
It would be a pity to destroy that fancy brickwork 😂
First thing I noticed
Tohle byla precizní oprava PVC odpadu! 👍🙂 V době HT potrubí a tvarovek u nás v ČR 🇨🇿 už moc lidí práci s PVC neovládá. Měli by to umět všichni mladí instalatéři 😋
I appreciate the skill at showing your technique, great instructional video ✌️
But I applaud your professionalism in the finished repair, planning your gluing and assembly, making the labels align. Few do this, maybe just you and I 😊
Greetings , in fact it is a technical norm , here in Peru we are asked to always show the brand of the pipe towards one 's view , so we can easily see what type of pipe was used to carry out the work .
That bottle cap trick is a keeper!! Ingenious piping too..👏👏👏👏
Estou aprendendo muito com vc , obrigado
Not a plumber here, but find these videos very interesting! I would be stumped by lots of pvc repairs.
Show!!! Parabéns me ajudou muito.
Wow amazing idea 🎉🎉🎉😮😮 Thank you
Awsome work! Thanks for showing us!
I love your videos man 👏👏👏
The connection inside the wall is unprofessional! Reverse encapsulation, as a result of which clogging may occur.
Excellent video and impressive that you have received 5.6 million views.
Ingenious! Well done.
Wow! Awesome job!
Great video. These videos are the reasons that I like and watch RUclips.
Dear,
Such a gd work done due to yr creativity...salute u man.👍👍👍👍🌹
☝️When you don't have enough experience to know that you're better off doing it the correct way....
I'm not even a plumber, I'm an engineer in IT, and even I see this will lead to choking and blockage.
Good thinking and well carried out. I liked the you cut the pipe.
Nice repair good for emergency but y do it wen u can get the right fittings to fix it the right way

Nice trick with the bottle cap. Even though that tool has been around for years
impressive craftsmanship
Very informative video... thank you!
Good job man ✌️
Well done! Glad I took time for this.
I suscribed.
2:23 Your technique is amazing
Thank you. A most useful video. I like your way of presentation: low music and clearly presented. I especially like the small cutter idea. Cheers
Wouldn't it be better to clear the whole pipe from the wall and insert a new straight piece through to the other side in the basement?
Wouldn't inserting the pipe like that cause buildup at the lip eventually in an outgoing flow?
Yup and yup
Excelente 👌
Great working idea! thank you for sharing
i would have added a cleanout tee with a plug, good video!
Greetings and thanks for your comment.

Hey brother...nice work..."the Indian MacGyver!"
Lmao 🤣 this guy Mcgyvered himself an internal pipe cutter. Honestly, that's next level handyman at best.
That was really informative. Thx

That’s pretty impressive
The best part of this repair is that it gives you an excuse to drink beer at work.

Love the re-purposing of the bottle cap!
Hey, you code quoting nay sayers- not all of the world is held hostage to your code book!
I never saw pvc that flexible.
@@brianberson4169 like the last guy said, it's UPVC, it's thinner
this wont last in the slightest. those who spend more spend less.
a cheap and lousy repair like this means you will be doing more than once.
its great for the plumber, bad for the owner

Great video about PVC repair...
... but someone do a video that instructs the bricklayer that built that wall on how to lay some mortar.
Brilliant idea..
Very satisfying to watch a creative plumber, using his head to solve a problem! Bravo!!
What else would you use
Or just create new ones.
Good problem solving, I'm sure it will work well enough, the lap would be better as a female connection over the existing pipe, though I understand it's tight for chiseling the original hole slightly larger without possibility causing more damage. This shows great intuition and a handy person willing to help others solve similar issues. Thank you.
Buen truco el de la tapa
