I have made these and they were beautiful but still sticky when done- how do I stop this result? I only used one type of hard candy and did not use jolly rancher and they were STILL sticky to the touch! Recommendations??
I'd love to see them! But oh no, that's so frustrating! Chances are it's due to humidity - the candy is sucking up all that extra moisture in the air, making it sticky. You can still salvage them the same way you would a wet phone haha! Place them into a container near some dry rice or with some silica packets. Another option is dusting them with powdered sugar or corn starch - though this may change the look of them and depending on how sticky they are, you may need too much.

What you are making in no way resembles any of the 10+ forms of an agate. Agates are solid. They have no crystal formations inside them. What you have made are nifty geode candies.
