I’ve still got an iPhone 5C, I used it once for 2 hours while my iPhone 8 was getting the battery changed, it was a very long 2 hours.
If I were to use it again, I’d only use it at Rock festivals, so it wouldn’t be an issue if it was lost or stolen.
I still have my green one and think it’s pretty cool. I see the SE as the modern version of the 5c, but would be cool to see another actual C release
I had it from 2017-2018. I loved it to death!

A Nokia, oh wait android or iPhone, I suggest iPhone 5S or 5C, if you just want to use it for calls and basic messaging. For a little bit more you can get a 6, which is big but you get a little more features(i guess?). But you best bet so far is iPod 6th or 7th gen, it can run iOS 15, but they dont have a SIM card. So the sweet spot is the 5-6S, where they're not too obsolete but also pretty small and a cheap price for a second-hand condition.
iPhone SE 1 is pretty small and runs iOS 15, otherwise iPhone 12-13 Mini but it's not that cheap. if you like home buttons and a supported phone in one then I recommend an iPhone SE 2-3

U can because my 9 year old cuzin has one but if you wanna watch RUclips it won’t load but it’s app thats called vanced tub basically RUclips but no adds and supported on all devices

Is it worth it if you're only using it as an iPod?
Yes. As long as you only use it for Music in the Music app on the phone. Spotify might not work with iOS 10. I couldn’t even log in with my 5C. It’s obsolete by Apple so they won’t be able to repair it if you break it.
Dezeer works perfectly if you jail break it
I’m only buying another because one it’s VERY cheap new and you can buy them new in box still for like $50 or less I just need it because I need my old account back for my music. I have another iCloud. So it’ll basically be a emergency/backup/ipod/iphone lol
