    I once ran my G36 as an LMG at Faded Giant. Under an hour into the game and I was called on by a squad mate to lay some fire on an enemy group across a road (200-250 ft). Being my first ever milsim game it took me a minute to register what he said but once I did I got up on a burl and held the trigger down... only to realize that my new hopup bucking was WAY to strong and every single shot ran straight into the sky. Moral of this story is to always test your gun before heading out. Always

    As a tech, fuse are hella useless. Also for reference almost all techs agree that fuses are more trouble then they are worth. Also dsg and high speed ssg generally won’t use a fuse since they are pulling at a minimum of 30+ amps and can hit close to or over 100 amps

    A Good Padded Sling is the most important thing for all LMGs, no matter what Style or Platform. I looked around a lot for a Decent Sling for my FN-30. ROF on par for a 1917-19 I run is 11 RPS.

    Great video! I particularly like when you touched on the physical fitness requirements when carrying an LMG. I am a fitness nut and gym rat and have always let someone else hump the support gun. IMO the physical exertion is the #1 concern with this role. I tell guys to try it at small games before ever attempting a large op as a support gunner. I have seen very strong guys get their asses kicked carrying a heavy LMG. It requires strength AND endurance. I am also sure there are small tips and tricks you learn by trial and error to help carry the load.

    For me personally when it comes to being a machine gunner what I recommend is when you choose your MG, don’t look after the pro’s like Alfonse and buy a MK46 and expect it to be good, buy the one you think will work with you and that you like, for example me, I wanted a SAW and instead of gettin* a MK46 I got a MK2 cause I mean I liked the MK2 SAW, and this thing, it’s lite, I use iron sights (trying to find an airsoft Elcan C79 that’s in stock for it), and for the year and a half I’ve had it so far I’ve treated it well and it’s treated me well, she’s a real beauty

    Speaking of fuses, if you blow one the next one you put in is most likely going to blow right away. I also remove any fuses on my guns. That being said, something went very wrong in my m249 after fuse removal and I melted the wiring and had a lot of smoke coming out which required a full wiring and microswitch swap. It wasnt difficult but it was annoying.

    First of all, I just wanna start by saying that I love the stuff you guys put out, keep it up!
    However, when using an LMG, you are putting out a high volume of fire. This means a lot of stress on the mechbox. Do you think that would be something to be concerned about? Enough to purchase an HPA gun instead? Or do you think I would be all right to just stay with the standard AEG? Thanks!

    • @ehouse2326
      @ehouse2326 5 лет назад +5

      Jonathan Ellis HPA is absolutely a good choice for an LMG platform. I prefer AEG just so I don’t have to manage a tank, and because I can carry a lot more shots worth of extra batteries more easily than carrying extra tanks. In terms of performance and reliability though, you really can’t beat HPA.

    • @joehernandez2506
      @joehernandez2506 5 лет назад +1

      Hpa lowers the amount of moving parts and especially for lmgs which have a huge amount of stress. If you are okay with a tank hpa all the way

    I recently got into the machine gun scene with an ICS L86 LSW, and I think I'm regretting getting that particular style. Drum mags are pretty much out of the question due to the bullpup layout, and I seriously doubt MSW or AMS would allow high-caps for just one guy and his L86, which means that I might have to carry an obscene amount of midcaps to be able to keep up a good round count for an LMG... and that conflicts with your point of keeping gear to a minimum. Any advice for fixing/working around that mistake?

    @tommytuomaala9087 5 лет назад

    One piece of massdestryction does not mater. However heavy you gear up you still have only one effective barrel in the game. Good team interaktion masters. I'm not so experience from airsoft yet. In paintball the line shifts so rapidly one must play comfortably both as front and back player.

    • @ehouse2326
      @ehouse2326 5 лет назад +3

      At MilSim games, that one effective barrel may have 3-5 times the amount of ammo behind it, capable of firing continuously, as opposed to the interrupted firing from more limited capacity magazines used by normal riflemen. As a result, the support gunner becomes a force multiplier and a valuable piece of the squad. That’s why squad coordination and careful play is all the more important, so that you can maximize the effectiveness of your power weapons.
      This is all assuming we’re talking about a MilSim game with ammo and magazine restrictions, of course. At a typical open play where anyone can carry as much ammo as they want and use whatever magazines they want, MGs have no real major advantage.

    • @tommytuomaala9087
      @tommytuomaala9087 5 лет назад

      @@ehouse2326 thank you for your answer. In paintball paint restriction helps noobs to advance between pillows. But even on pro level withougt paint restriction a "federov" is able to snap out under or above a lane and tag the shooter out. But that is professional games. I know the deffevtive range and field layout in airsoft is completely different. A thick Bush can be penetrated with Therese as paint only splatters.
