Personally I thank all guns are useful in thier own way. Just some guns are more situational than others. Obviously ars and smgs are the most versatile, LMGs still have their place in larger outdoor games.

Had these issues m8 got the agm mg42 and the screws rattled off holding the grip where the gears are and stripped the piston, changed piston used steel bolts and nylon lock nuts the secure, but it’s wicked fun

Played my 1st big event at Cooperhead 8 and Alfonse just so happened to run up with his squad and asked me to lay some cover fire for him and his boys not knowing I just built that HPA LMG based on seeing his videos and being inspired. He was rockin an AR kit not his lmg so to flowed. And damn it was a great experience, especially my 1st event. Grabbed a photo with homeboy and it was like juggernaut with mini juggernaut haha..I'm 5'9" but Alfonse is a wall lol Total cool Kat. Shout out ALFONSE! And needless to say that day... We whopped COST haha 💪🏽😎🤙🏼

I play lmg in the uk where aegs can full auto and they are no where near useless, aegs on full auto burn through mid caps real quick, I carry a 2500 round drum mag and never have to worry about reloading or how many mags I have left
If you have the muscle why not ? I am a skinny person so i cant carry a heavy LMG all day. But a friend of mine loves playing a M249 SAW. The Problem in Germany is that there arnt that many goof LMGs on the market so it has to be Upgraded and the purpose of a LMG is covering fire so it need to be Full Auto and in Germany you only can have a 0.5 Joule Full Auto. So Range and Accuarcy is quite limited.
What's the difference between a Glock-18 airsoft pistol and an MG-3 airsoft lmg? They both shoot 6mm bbs but I'm choosing the Glock to tote through the woods.
LMG has bigger mag capasity, better accuracy, better stability, higher joule limit, better and much longer lasting internal parts and absolutely huge coolness factor.
What I find stupid is the limitation in each classes Like LMG it only can be belt fed and big and bulky but in the real world LMG's aren't only belt fed In Germany there is a G36 version thatthey use as LMG with a drum mag (Longer with a tripod) Same with Steyr AUG its about the same with RPK. For DMR it is the same in Canada to be a DMR in games you must have 7.62 x 51 Platform but in a lot of military they can use 5.56 for a DMR platform, in the canadian military they have a modified version of a C7CT who is very similar to an M16, AUstralian have a modified version of a steyr aug the F88S, France have the Famas G2 Sniper, the german can use the HK SL8 who is pretty much a G36 DMR, even US military have modified AR15 as DMR so why restrict it in airsoft. In real life if I want I could take a F2000 modified it like longer barrel better trigger ans so on and use it as a Long range riffle why not in airsoft ?

The barrel was actually cut differently to better handle sustained fire along with the action being slightly beefed up. In the end it was deemed as not much more effective than a g36 so they canned that idea all together and now the German army uses the MG3/4/5 as it's support guns. The sl8 isn't really a "dmr" it's a civilian import version of the g36 platform that's been stripped of all "assault" features and made so it cannot easily be converted back. The only pro it has is that it has a heavy bull barrel.
Because it's larping and "is it used as a machine gun in real life" is simple. The RPK is just a big AK, but since it is doctrinally used as an LMG AMS and MSW allow it under LMG rules. Same thing with a Mk. 12, it's 5.56 but used as a DMR in real life, so MSW allows it under DMR rules (but it also used special heavyweight 5.56). Keeps things simpler than making an entire arbitrary ruleset over what is an LMG or not.
