Diavolo is my favorite villain and one of my favorite characters in JoJo as a whole, and it makes me really happy to know that you love him, too. He is indeed a savage, but one of my favorite things about him is that if you don't try to dig into his past and leave him alone, he'll treat you fine and isn't really a threat to you. It's only when you provoke him that he'll do devilishly (pun intended) gruesome things to you. Also, I personally love buff men, so Diavolo being a muscular man after Araki stopped making everyone manly was great to see. I could go on and on about how much I love Diavolo and King Crimson, but I'll spare you fanboying. P.S. King Crimson better have a The World-esque sound effect when it erases time in the anime. I need my dubstep farts.
“Remember what Diavolo did to sorbet and gelato?” Oh, you mean laying them down horizontally and slice them up like a roast beef in a deli slicer? Then mailing those pieces to the assassination team as a warning?... Yeah, I remember that...
I now want a villian that Swich between timelines like: as long as the user have somehow had the possibility of ending up there, he can turn the current timeline into that as the requim, while as normal he can just swich himself between different verisons of himself from other timelines and this guy's tarrot card: The Universe as he have solved how none can defeat him by optaining what would without his stand be pure *ASSPULL* and he get defeated because he succedded in that as the JoJo he face has a stand that can turn the user into his enemy to fight Fire with Fire, and the JoJo planned to do it since he found his stand ability, and for someone as strong as this new enemy stand user it be taking 1 whole year to load it
The World: stops time Killer Queen Bites the Dust: loops time King Crimson: erases time Made in Heaven: accelerates time Gold Experience Requiem: *N O*
Yoshikage Kira is my Favorite Jojo character PERIOD, I love everything about his personality, character design, stand, and stand design Part 4 Kira that is
I really personally started to like his character when he faked not seeing Harvest grabbing his bag, actually made me go "wait he's not a stand user, whaaaa?" As he had provably noticed that other people cant see his Killer Queen
Ah yes, David Bowie with a severed hand fetish and a furry stripper cat that has the ability to turn anything into a remote bomb, a pretty much invincible mini tank that can infinitely blow up, and a tiny version of the stripper cat that rewinds time with just one more explosion. I like him too.
Not the theme only, I love Kars as no one understands him, all jojo fanboys kept screaming Whamu was the best pillar men and he was a good pillar man. Kars on the other hand wanted to free his people but no one agreed, they threaten to kill him so he murdered his race.
I think he is likeable, but a lot of his potential is wasted, like most of part 5. The twist in the middle kinda ruined it because it made a really interesting setup revert to something we had seen before. Besides that, Diavolo could have been great but the part ended rather abruptly and he had very little time to be fleshed out. Compared to the attention all other antagonists were paid by Araki he really got shafted.
I think what ruined part 5 was the bad translation we got. That's why people thought part 5 was horrible. But re reading it with better scan was a burst of fresh air
Maybe... But again, I was so hyped about the whole mob infiltration plot, which was advertised quite a lot in the early volumes. I wanted to see Giorno slowly gain the trust of the boss or his surrounding organization. I wanted to see intrigues, betrayal and hard decisions. Character drama. But the twist in the middle was essentially an excuse to avoid the change from the "travel from A to B and fight along the way" plot to something different. And that is a disappointment a better translation wouldn't fix.
“Pucci gets flack for being in part 6” Holy fuck dude, part 6 is legit really fun. I actually don’t understand the part 6 hate, at this point I consider it on par with hating chase, which I also don’t get.
@@marangle7484 idk... Given I’m only just now starting Steel Ball Run (totally expecting parts 7 and 8 to be the best btw), I definitely find 6 the best so far. Jolyne has far more development than the JoJos before her and Pucci does the whole “dominate the world” villain thing so much better than Dio, Kars, and DIO, and certainly has more personality and eccentricity than Diavolo.
@@dominicstewart-guido7598 You explained it perfectly. Jolyne and Pucci made Part 6 so good. Its not my fav part, in fact, I think its one of the better parts so its weird to see the hate for it. I feel like most people who hate Part 6 just speed read to get into part 7 asap. It also didnt help that part 6 is between part 5 and 7 which is both fan favorites. But the anime will totally change that. Right now, I see more hype and less hate.
@@doppelsotria4620 Part 5 is full of hype moments ig. Also the main crew is memorable. Ngl Part 5 has my least favorite ending. Yet I can see why its liked a lot. Part 3 kind of dragged on with the episodic stand battles but part 5 did that so well by making them feel like missions instead. Part 5 have great fights even if part 3 imo have a better iconic ending. Also, Giorno is super popular in Japan. And part 5 have a solid adaptation. Prolly even the best jojo adaptation so far. Still, I have part 6 higher than both of those parts.

I just now noticed that the bottle of whisky dio was drinking in part 1 was “Cronenberg 12” which I am pretty certain was a subtle foreshadow of him losing his humanity since Cronenberg is the name of a director who made movies that featured grotesque monsters... or it’s a coincidence idfk
Pucci and Valentine are by far the best villains of the entire series, my god especially Pucci, just seeing White Snake turn into CMoon then into Made in Heaven is the most scariest feeling for the main cast. Part 6’s end is my favorite ending out of all the parts. Bravo.
I can't stand that a boy whose name I can't remember killed Pucci at the end, but that's the only thing I hate of Pucci. He's my 2nd favorite villain. My favorite villain is Kira. If Kira was 10/10, for me Pucci would be a 10- or 9,5/10 and Valentine a 9/10
1. I thought this was Jojo not Castlevania! 2. Aye ya ya ya ! He's ok 3. MEMES MEMES EVERYWHERE! 4. The second Best antgonist in the series 5. He just works 6. I hate him with the rage of 1000 suns 7. Best villian and president 8. Who?
I would’ve killed to see a light novel of them too, more specifically the time leading up to Kars’ betrayal of them. This including Santana and Wamuu’s parents and their stories, the culture of the tribe, how they went about life. Etc.
Kira was by far the dopest villain in my opinion, his cunning scheme and drive and passion for killing yet at the same time blending into society was an absolute twist and allowed me to actually enjoy the anime
One of my more favorite villains in the series is actually a pretty minor one, he literally only appeared for one fight and that was all he was used for, I'm talking about Santana, while the rest of the pillar men were cool, Santana really stuck out to me the most for some reason, I guess its because he's the first pillar man we see, he's just there to show what even the weakest of pillar men are capable of, he's here to show how dangerous these new foes are, and I'm a huge fan of body horror, I loved seeing how Santana used his abilities, from going absorbing all bullets shot at him and shooting them back at the Nazis with his finger tips (my guy literally pulled a Johnny before Johnny), to going inside Stroheim's leg to protect himself from the sun, I just really hate how we only saw him once and will most likely never see anything from him ever again, like aside from Wammu, I felt like he had the most interesting ability
Santana's ability is the base Pillarman. He was too weak to develop his own mode. The other 3 could do all of Santana's abilities, but they used their modes more.
In terms of characters, I've still gotta give props to Kira. No other villain in anything has ever made me go,"Man, if I was a villain, I'd just be that dude" as much as Kira. - Awsm Chimera
I appreciate that you, unlike a lot of other JoJo youtubers, stick to the era that you are talking in so that can stop watching when part 5 comes up and not be spoiled. I have watched things on part 2 Joseph and people where dropping info bombs on stuff in part 4. So kudos to you for keeping shit pretty neat.
Funny Valentine is my personal favourite antagonist. The speech he gives Johnny near the end was incredible but I believe every jojo antagonist is very special and incredibly written which is something I commend Araki for
Same! Especially how great he can use his stand, and how fast he thinks on the fly. For instance, take the "Who shot johnny joestar" arc. It's such a confusing arc, but as soon as you realize what D4C does, it starts to make more and more sense, as you realize it's not three different people seen by three different bystanders, but rather three separate SCENES seen by a different bystander each time. It's a great way for Valentine to cover his tracks. Another one I can think off the top of my head: the fact that he had the idea to go to a separate dimension and give another him D4C, it's a great idea. After all, if he can't trust anyone else, then why not trust yourself with carrying on your legacy?
So far, Kira is my favorite, by far. I love his comparative normalcy. He's just a very deranged man led even more stray through the abilities he has acquired. That might just be my bias towards mental illness, though. I'm just fascinated by the human mind and the things that twists it, in big part due to my own oddities. And yeah, Diavolo is also super fascinating.
I agree that Kira mental health is the best managed in all manga history I think. He feels like a real human which struggles against himself and can't manage his feelings. While Diavolo seems in comparison to be damaged mentally transforming him into the pure devil
@@CidGuerreiro1234 and in the end Kira complexity can be seen through his death. He doesn't suffer eternally, his secret isn't revealed and he dies simply, like a normal person.
I liked part 4, but jotaro was practically useless in it, he was nerfed in every way, I liked the new design with him and his stand but holy crap they slapped him around.
Kars & Kira got me into the series. Dio is just great through his actions. Pucci is my favourite as a character. Funny Valentine makes me laugh out loud with his Stand power.
@@giornogiovanna8486 I am talking about the part 1-6 universe. So if you mean the part 7-8 and on universe, then ya i believe that could be very possible.
I think my favorite villain was Kira. Having a small-scale story centered on a highly intelligent villain made the story told in Morioh very nostalgic and personal. The issue with world domination is the question "Then what?" Cool, Dio rules the world. Then what? Cool, the pillarmen have Ascended to godhood. Then what? At a global scale their goals are very vague. Small goals are much easier to conceptualize
Diavolo is literally all the villains we seen frol the previous parts combined. Just like DIO he destroys his village kills his own parent and also his name means something special in Italian like DIO oh and also shares a body with someone else. Like kars who triggered the events in first 3 parts for creating the plot device Diavolo found the stand arrows and triggered events for parts 4,5,6 etc and looks like pillar men as well and also ends up with the worst fate as well. Like Kira in his shadow form not only does resemble Kira and look like him he also wants to remain unknown and be unnoticed. Part 5 was also a mystery kinda like part 4 so yeah absolutely Diavolo is criminally underrated. This is my rankings 1.funny valentine 2. Diavolo 3. Kira 4.pucci 5. DIO 6. Kars 7.Dio Brando
@@EatDatButt445 1. DIO( best villian in all of anime) 2. Valentine( DojyaaaaaaaaaaN) 3. Kira( boom to quiet life) 4. Pucci( Mado In Heaven Da) 5. Kars(perfect being) 6. Dio brando( still DIO so great) 7. Diavolo( really bland character for me)
I really like Kira as a villain, but what I didn’t like is that when we finally got to him, they decided to go back to the monster of a week formula, when all I wanted to see was Kira.
I guess it was to stretch him a little bit, because it wouldn't make sense for them to not have an enemy, but they couldn't showcase Kira again without making the main cast look so incompetent that they'd lose him again. I wish they had gone more tho, the idea that his battle with Josuke at some point was supposed to make Josuke go back in time and be the stranger that saved him as a child is simply too fitting, a shame it never stretch so far, or maybe it was for the best.
Iug that was never Araki’s intention. That’s not how Bites The Dust works anyways. The guy that saved Josuke was a different guy that Josuke grew to idolize
Do a review on a series you like or think is cool and is worthy of a bit more attention. I'm about to make my first video/analysis on something I enjoy. I'd love to see what you read/watch that isnt top name shonen or content you have already
Satan Chicken you mean when he's protecting Shinobu from the cat plant? if so, yeah that scene was badass, i loved seeing him in that fight trying to figure out how to beat it. and seeing him wonder if he's really catching feelings for her was...a little hopeful? he never taps into that though which sucks. (makes me genuinely want him and Shinobu to try and be an actual couple, granted he stops killing people lol).
1:46- even though Speedwagon said he was evil from birth- according to this analysis, it might have been an exaggerated account due to his admittedly heinous actions being presented in a very horrid light- and being told this possibility, caused Dio to latch onto it because no one was going to see things from his perspective except Pucci.
Grimoire666 i'm really torn on that... Dio has a perfectly sympathetic backstory, and yet (not just through Speedwagon) you see him be little else but selfish and cruel, and he always taps into that over even considering goodness. again perhaps that's cuz he needs a gentle compassionate touch? but idk, he seems to have a pretty big egoism problem.
Thanks for saying that, I got interested but couldn't guess if he was talking about an anime, a movie or a series called Monster. I almost watch a 2003 movie because it looked like it was about serial killers, so it would make sense in context. Anyway, thank you good sir.
Honestly man I love Kars too. He is so well written and his passion towards his goals makes it better. Not only that but as you said, perfect lifeforms are BA.
For me Pucci is the best villain he had good intentions he wanted to avenge his friend (😏). He went to great lengths to get Made in heaven and most importantly, he was the only villain who achieved his goal.
Pucci did partially succeed, but not fully. Pucci was trying to make a world where everybody knows their fate, as was a part of his idea of "heaven" but was killed as he was enacting the plan and then the SBR universe was made. Which isn't really connected, so just think of it as another world with similar powers and homages to the source. Edit: Alright boys I phrased this horribly and incorrectly just got told that but, I'm too lazy too change the comment so...
oh my fucking god i literally subscribeb u right after u said things on diavolo! thank god someone actually appreciates him. he's so underrated. idk why is everyone don't like him as a villain, i think it's just opinion tho. but to me he's so special bcs he got so many mental issues going on in both of him and doppio (DID, schizoprenia, anxiety, anger issues, paranoia) and that is what really gets me and made him such a relatable villain. as someone with a bipolar, i literally feel him. with complex emotions and stuff. i'm not saying it justifies his actions but it's what make him different and unique as a villain. he's so fit with my character or anyone's character nowadays who likes to cover their past bcs it 'weakens' themselves and they hate it. i think it's really relatable. plus point is that the fact that he dresses way more completely different than we have watched as shadow diavolo, i think it's another uniqueness bcs we all thought abt super mysterious mob boss being badass in suit and short hair but we got diavolo who dresses 180° differently and still rocking that badassness. i love him as a villain. that split personality is so fucking cool man, it's the first time i actually see a character with a DID and become a villain for it, that's why he's my favorite.

Well it's not really dubstep farts, but holy shit is it badass

Yes my favorite part. Oh good times
Sorbet chocked and suffocated to death though
SATAN Himself that’s true... but I was trying to be a little over dramatic with my comment
It was Ciccolata that did it, as you can see Secco filming in the background, all Diavolo did was order their death, not how they die.

Finally someone who likes Diavolo. Thank god
@XaeVius Just. Read Golden Wind Golden Heart (at least i think that's the name.)
Diavolo is a wasted character to me tho
“Pucci gets flack for being in part 6”
Holy fuck dude, part 6 is legit really fun. I actually don’t understand the part 6 hate, at this point I consider it on par with hating chase, which I also don’t get.
Having finished part 6 last night, I have absolutely no idea where all the hate comes from.
So Johnny?

And yeah, Diavolo is also super fascinating.
ok
I agree that Kira mental health is the best managed in all manga history I think. He feels like a real human which struggles against himself and can't manage his feelings. While Diavolo seems in comparison to be damaged mentally transforming him into the pure devil

Grimoire666
i'm really torn on that... kars who achieved perfection:Am i a joke to you?
Pucci did partially succeed, but not fully. oh my fucking god i literally subscribeb u right after u said things on diavolo! thank god someone actually appreciates him. he's so underrated. idk why is everyone don't like him as a villain, i think it's just opinion tho. but to me he's so special bcs he got so many mental issues going on in both of him and doppio (DID, schizoprenia, anxiety, anger issues, paranoia) and that is what really gets me and made him such a relatable villain. as someone with a bipolar, i literally feel him. with complex emotions and stuff. i'm not saying it justifies his actions but it's what make him different and unique as a villain. he's so fit with my character or anyone's character nowadays who likes to cover their past bcs it 'weakens' themselves and they hate it. i think it's really relatable. plus point is that the fact that he dresses way more completely different than we have watched as shadow diavolo, i think it's another uniqueness bcs we all thought abt super mysterious mob boss being badass in suit and short hair but we got diavolo who dresses 180° differently and still rocking that badassness. i love him as a villain. that split personality is so fucking cool man, it's the first time i actually see a character with a DID and become a villain for it, that's why he's my favorite.
