But whoever Pucci got the stand from must have lived somehow, didn't he?
I assume that foo fighters wasn't compatible with the stand and that's why it backfired on it, not the stand itself. Either that or it could be the nature of foo fighters existence and biology being different from that of a human thus it had a different effect due to foo fighters being more of a colony thing. But if I had to guess I think its the first one, the stand just wasn't compatible with fo fighters because the personality or fighting spirit of foo fighters is not similar enough to the original user. And If I remember correctly it is possible for someone to be given a stand disc and have the stand be incompatible. Think of it like getting an incompatible organ, now imagine if you had an incompatible organ that could boil water. I guess there is the possibility the original owner couldn't drink water or shower and Pucci just took it before he died, but theres as much evidence for that as the owner having the stand for while and I'd assume Pucci met the guy or the guy displayed his power so its more likely he had his stand for at the very least a little while so its highly unlikely that he died like foo fighters or something. Oh man I just remember Pucci can read stand disc well if Pucci doesn't take a stand disc before the user dies or a stand disc is put inside a user then they die its lost forever, so we can assume the user probably didn't immediatly boil to death or else Pucci would have to be like right next to him the moment he gained his stand, or at the very least its less likely he was right next to him.

You can basically know location of anything anywhere , of straight up make a whole maps like Joseph did during the fight against that tumor in part 3. It's a very limited stand that forces you to be creative with it , perfect for bullshit maker like Joseph

In my opinion the part had great and memorable characters but also had a lot of dull ones and overall wasnt that good when compared to other parts. I realized this after rewatching it with my younger brother, who surprisingly now loves jojo after watching part 2

Actually when you think about it the ability to boil water can be insanely strong if used correctly. You see virtually every living thing is mostly made of water, imagine the damage that could be done by boiling the water withing something. You see when water boils it turns to steam so the amount of pressure caused by said steam could cause things to expand or explode destroying them from the inside. Also in a battle in an aquatic environment, you could essentially boil bodies of water, puddles etc. to lay traps. Also one could boil water in an enclosed space such as a bottle to create high pressure to makeshift explosions. You could aslo use steam for get aways or to obscure vision, or mix poison in the boiling water so the steam and water will also be toxic. Although I should note I'm doing this under the assumption that the stand has to touch, or at least get close to, the water or object its boiling.

Part 2 is my favorite, yet I despise part 5. Hmm... :thinking:
I actually do like them both, the only thing I really don't like much about part 5 is Giorno being the JoJo when Bruno is a much more compelling character. I like pretty much all of the other characters and all of the fights.

The Boiling water stand can't be that bad, it killed one of the main cast of part 6. It really goes to show how smart Pucci is, and how useful White snake is, that he was able to tactically use multiple very niche or specific stands to accomplish his goals. Survivor is "the weakest stand", but Pucci used it to fulfill a purpose.
Tbh i havent seen part 6, but a stand that boils water sounds kind of OP if you think about it.

Actually I can see a boiling water stand being really useful. Imagine that you can just boil water whenever, and then throw it at people. It could be like Fugo’s disease capsules but with scalding hot water. You could give people blindness with your stand. Araki should definitely make it a stand one day.

Actualy if you think about it, you can shrink your stand so, shrink the sun before it's summoned, then you make it apear in front of someone and you instantly kill him.

another problem is that you cant actually shrink stands, that was plot convenience in part three.

omegaxd it still implies that it is possible though after all, the stand is just an image created by the soul (Joseph says so saying that stands are a vision created by your own life energy). but it also mentions that shrinking stands takes a lot of energy to maintain, so I’m guessing that depending on the persons stand and how much time they’ve had with it, the smaller your stand is the easier it is to shrink but with giant stands like the sun it takes wayyyy to much energy to shrink something of that size. Same goes for a small stand like the lovers, trying to increase its size takes more energy than it’s worth to try to make it bigger. With Hierophant Green and Silver Chariot, they range in the mid tier of being person size normally so shrinking is okay but I think growing takes more energy than shrinking. Now to conclude this, stands are bullshit and have the power of plot convenience like you said

@Hammody Ahmed While I do agree, That Joseph, Caesar(lol no), Stroheim and Wammu are good characters, The rest didn't really do much, Esidisi was utterly wasted, And while Kars' ideology was good and dare I say, Amazing, He just felt, seemed and acted like a generic Shounen Antagonist. And Jotaro and Josuke aren't boring, They're interesting characters, That have far better character development than anyone from Part 2. Although this may seem like a stretch. Part 2 was enjoyable, But the other parts are just better
And don't even get me started, On Caesar. He's just a badly written character, At least in my, opinion.
I’ve always found Boy II Man to be one of, if not the most disappointing Stand in the entire series. It’s a Stand that can steal the abilities of other Stands, yet is wasted on a filler fight that feels like an infinitely worse version of both D’Arby brother fights in Part 3.

Boiling water would actually be pretty nifty to have. You could cook almost any food with ease, can cause burns with just a bottle of water, and it can create huge deterrents (like turning an entire lake into a hot spring). Plus, 70% of the human body is made of water. I mean, look what metallica could do just by controlling iron.
TBF for the sun: The reason the user tried to kill the group based on heat was likely as a torture (like every villain on jojo tries to do) cause it's shown it can rain fireballs which is a pretty powerful and fast way of killing someone without you having to suffer the heat yourself. Also a lot of stands can damage their user, kira wouldn't dare explode a bubble too close to himself cause he could blow himself up.
And for cheap trick, that stand was designed to kill and/or torment rohan enough that he burned the pictures, and he almost did it. Also taking away the downside of no one seeing your back having a stand that can communicate in an universal language would be so useful. Imagine using your stand to talk to animals and telling them your enemy is a very bad person that likes to kill puppies, you'd have an urban army of angry animals that survive in the streets.
As for walk the rainbow, the problem with rain can be totally solved if you A: partner with a weather controlling stand like weather report (It seems those two are made to work together) B: you can yourself control the climate either via technology or a stand (requiem power might be rain on demand?) C: Likely it doesn't have to be rain per se as long as it's falling water, if you had access to that, you could blow fire hydrants on the street and that creates a shower you can walk on.

Honestly, I like Bohemian Rhapsody... It is actually one of my favorite stands on the whole series, maybe even my favorite stqand on Part 6, and while defeating it is pretty easy to do if you know what you are doing, being able to switch characters around with something fictional he knows can be deadly, especially on a globalized world that we are living. There's probably very few people who doesn't know about Pokémon, the MCU or other massive franchises.
For me, Part 6 holds the worst stand of then all: Highway to Hell. The inspiration is pretty dope, but fuck... It can only damage someone if I damage myself? It would only work with someone with suicidal toughs.

You can train your pain tolerance, or how long you can go on without oxygen or anything like that. This would make the stand incredibly effective - strangle yourself for a few minutes until your opponent passes out(Which you do not, thanks to training), then finish them personally. Or slice your wrist, then immediately patch it up. You would survive, opposition would bleed out. I am sure technology could allow for an effective way to do that.
Not to mention, the use of painkillers could allow for some gruesome torture.
