I just found your channel after a 15 year hiatus of the hobby. These videos are amazing from entertainment to humor to editing to (of course) painting. I'm diving back into the blood angels and your original BA painting guide video inspired me to paint my troops in my own version of styles 3/4 and then do my vehicles in grimdark. Lore I’m doing for my DC is that they’ve survived longer than anyone thought, including themselves, which means they’ve started adorning their amour in gold to further standout to the enemy as targets worth taking down.
Do you plan to add any tanks to the army, cause if the narrative of this strike force company is of them going against massive hordes of tyrandis then they should have a tank or two on their side for efficiency. I know you said they’re cut off from supplies but generally I think when going into open scale combat most chapters bring a tank or two.
True 🤔 what do you recommend? Lore wise rather than competitive. I’d like to have a few dreadnoughts to be my heavy lifting so I feel like a Repulsor or Landraider might be too much.
@linkdancer3890 yeah I like that. Baal predator would be great in a dark close combat environment for the lore. And Impulsor is a way for me to add a slow unit on foot into the fast paced them by zooming them up the board.

@phillipalexander220 😀 you dont need much paint on the sponge at all. Also don’t try to force the sponge into hard to reach places. Swap out to a thin brush and slowly stipple some areas. And have fun!
Well, blimey. 😮 I’m loving this series - and those DC marines are horrifyingly good! Wondered how the GrimDark technique would work with black armour and it works really well! Time to crack on with my own jumpy lads (they love jumping around, can’t get enough of it!)

@@flashingbadgerpainting Yeah, I figured since you said that you mentioned that you are in your basement. :) Both gluing and airbrushing should be done in a well ventilated place (or preferably outside, but who wants to glue outside?) and with a respirator. But I've noticed that a lot of RUclipsrs doesn't do this (or simply hide this process in the video), so I'm often curious of how people do this. I'm in Sweden so I purchased a Sundström half-mask with a SR 221 filter + a combination-filter (SR 299-2 ABEK1-Hg-P3 R) to - for instance - avoid all the hazardous toxins (vapors/fumes) in the Tamiya Cement glue. Or when using Tamiya spray aerosol products (priming) outside which are also quite dangerous. I paint military airplanes AND Warhammer. I think that a combination filter is a good choice since it gives protection against different types of gases, vapors and particles (paint). However, on the other hand, we wouldn't want to lose that awesome humor and the many bad jokes. :D
Oh! Great call and good advice 👍 I’m lucky, my ‘basement’ is only half under ground so has big windows and the door that open to ventilate it. Weather is good so I spray outside and then I use water based paints through the airbrush 👍 You’ll see in some videos I wear the masks when I’m playing around with resin and similar products.
@@flashingbadgerpainting Sounds good. :) Yeah, I've seen you wear a cloth mask many times. I'm new to the channel but you are my favourite atm. I luv the great humor and your way to paint. I knew layering before but somehow it becomes more logical and easier to grasp when you do it with a small piece of sponge on both Warhammer and tanks. Super-smart and also with great results. I will try your different workflows soon - thanks! :)
Do you remember what the creator of the 3d prints was? Also I do not know how I missed this one I saw most of your other videos ha I think the first video was the tyranid heads like two years ago big help :-)

Would never use Mperor again, ordered a GHB on a Sun morning and requested cancellation 5min later - no chance it could have been ordered or shipped yet they slugged me with a reward point deficit as per their terms of service, pretty unreasonable but I vote with my $$$ Gap Games, TCC and Wargames Hub for the win
That’s a shame! I’ve used them for around 5 years now and always had positive experiences. I think it’s a very small team behind the scenes so that may factor in. I agree with your other recommendations as well, I also order with Gap Games and Combat Company. Golden rule; find what works for you and support the FLGS 😀
Yep, mid roll ads etc have been removed from my videos and replaced with some promos within. My theory being that my channel still needs financial support but at least this way you are getting hobby related interruptions instead of random youtube ads.
