So happy for you that you joined the Grimdark compendium family 👌
We're happy to have this gentleman!
thank you sir
One hell of a bloody miniature mate! Great job on the kitbash 👌👌🤟
thanks man
Badass work Nate! 🤝🩸
Indeed!
Ma man
I went down the grimdark path with my Death Company. Nowhere near your level, my attempt was a simple kitbash. I used the bare vampire head from the zombie dragon kit. I like the thought that the flaw causes degeneration, similar to the Space Wolf's Wulfen. Your paintjob is amazing, and your conversion really captures what I think the Death Company should look like. Thank you again, your brilliant.
So glad Death Co. was finally adapted into a grimdark style! These "Last Hurrah" Marines are worth their weight in gold.
You knocked this one out of the park. It's an amazing conversion, and that paint scheme looks very realistic. Thanks for sharing!!
Yeah.. That's it, I'm definitely going to paint my Death Company Marines like that, Great video !
Wire can also be obtained easily from 4-6 mm x 7 strand copper conductor from twin & earth or earth bonding conductor. The individual strands from this size are perfect.
That looks awesome!!
I've been wanting to kitbash my own army of Nurgle-corrupted Blood Angels from the Dornian Heresy
do it :D
The paintjob is just as stunning as the kitbash!
Cant wait for the Word Bearers!
awesome glad you did a Blood Angel Death Company Boy.
they have awesome lore for Grimdark
Very helpful video as always and amazing to see how talented you guys are. Amazing work!!
Excellent. That head is particularly good. Thanks for the inspiration!
thanks a bunch
Reminds me of the old Dog Pattern Space Marines that was a trend around 2010 when people were into the 'true scale' marines
Blew my mind! Awesome! Also, the way you use cheesecloth is amazing,
thanks sir
FINALLY!....I've been waiting for it!
Awesome glad you enjoy it!
hope you enjoyed
Absolutely love this style of painting. Hoping to get into it once Summer winds down. Excellent tutorial!!
Amazing!!!!!! Well done good sir!
Thanks!!
Thanks man
Mate, just realised you were on grimdark not your previous page.
Awesome mate congrats.
One of the best grimdark painters right here^
This is just brilliant :D I'm still pretty new to reductive techniques having played around with black oil washes and streaking grime a bit, but I would definitely like to try this technique when I come round to doing my death company
sounds good man let us know how u get on buddy
The Reductive technique is incredibly powerful, it's a traditional art technique that has been out there since the dawn of time in many forms! It's loads of fun and you have full control over it. Enamels are forgiving too and you can correct mistakes easily. Give it a try!!
Oh yes, he looks mental.
👍
AMAZING!
Amazing work man. From which kit is the head?
Great vid!
Thanks so much means a lot
Beautiful 👍👍
Great work
I’d love to see your take on an Iron Hands marine
We'll eventually give all the main chapters & factions a spin!
that would be fun
Awesome again!
Would you consider selling this Brutal mini? I can’t get enough of him and this has inspired me to paint my first mini! It would be amazing to own the mini that got me started. If not I still think you for bringing him to life.
There might be a way to get this rage boy in the future, keep your eyes peeled for the Grimdark Challenge!
Everybody gangster til the Blood Angel starts eyeing your neck and calling you Horus
Drill the Barrel and it would be perfect...
I've nevet been a fan of Blood Angels but if ever there was a company made for Grimdark it's the Death Company.
Will you be doing a whole paid tutorial series for blood angels? Id absolutely purchase.
We're planning to make lots of videos like these for YT, and then dedicated full series on the Grimdark Compendium that go more in depth, immersive, cinematic, alternate schemes etc. Blood Angels are on our list for sure.
@@GrimdarkCompendium Okay one more request: I LOVE the modeling/conversion bits of your vids. Could you provide amazon links (or another site) for the hobby tools you use? Like that wire and such? Would be hugely beneficial tot he community.
What do you think about little Turnip28 painting and conversion
project?
Nice work.
Just a heads up the "I" of Ichor is pronounced "eye", like "eye-cor".
thanks
Quality👌
Very cool, what was that chest peice off of?

Hi. I'm just getting into enamel washes for the first time and just want a newbie question clearing up, especially from someone British - when you refer to mineral spirits, what exactly are you using? Is the term just interchangable with a paint thinner or is it white spirit? If so can you just use a big bottle from b&q or do they sell ones for miniature painting? Cheers!
Where does the shoulder pad come from? I can't understand...
Does anybody know where the head is os from?
Chaos Chosen?
I think you forgot to add the paints used in the description? Very nice job still!
(Can you please add them in the description? ;) )
🩸🪽!!! Que bueno!!!
Hola hermano! Thanks!!
The chest piece looks incredible what is it from ?
Seems to be quite some severe audio glitching in the video sadly
Ah, I hear them now that you pointed it out.
If I may ask what the chestplate is from?

@@davidmarlor7928 Thank you
which description has the paint list again??
Amazing job!
Where can I buy the ink and paint in The Netherlands?
Greetings.
What bit is that servo arm?
Should be from space marine Apothecary!
I am sorry but I just don't like the miniature at all, for me it's not Lore at all. It's a personal choice. Not bad painting though.
Really good job !! I like this is not areo airbrush full minature.. a lot of idiots doing only areo pastels colour .. no matter it is Space Marine, Fantasy Elves or Brutal ORK.. i hate this acctual standard.. you got real nice dirty job, gives miniature a life..not colour from circus....
Not so much 40k if you use Sigmar model
It's a pretty awesome conversion, actually.
Nah! "Sig-Marines" are commonly used and it's fun.
Not like a label of a model keeps you from converting it :)
the fun for me is the blend between old gothic style armour that I can turn into a modern 40k Grimdark. I enjoy the process
Not so creative if you can't figure how this is definitely a great idea
