Hey guy, love to see another guy starting a Miata channel. Ive tried starting a channel but Ive not been as motivated as I should but I'd love to see you succeed. Please look a little into what makes a good channel and start doing that stuff from the beginning. From what I've seen find someone who's style you like and do something similar to them but in your own way. If they have a following it means that there are enough people interested in that thing. If you put in the effort now it'll pay off in the future, editing and scripting is super important from what I've seen. Some people are naturally good at it but if you make videos that you yourself would wanna watch odds are some other people will be interested too. Sorry to rant I don't wanna seem like I know everything because obviously I don't just wanted to share what I've learned from my successes and failures. Good luck hope to see you do well :)
Hey man, Appreciate the kinds words and advice. Yeah for sure I understand completely it's a pain here to insure and own cars etc over in the UK. I just want to make a channel showing folks that aren't in a trade what it's like to honestly wing it without training on a car as simple as an mx5. Yes I'll do a bit of research definitely got a tripod and microphone today so hopefully will have better footage next time and also in landscape 😂
@@WeeJinterz that's great to hear, honestly you seem pretty good in front of a camera already, but a rough script to follow would make it better in my experience. I mean there are plenty of channels that have done well with just one rust bucket so you're fine there. The tough thing is that at the end of the day it's tough to make it without the quality. Imma find this one channel I found really interesting maybe you'll like it, it's a guy who did basically the same thing with a Saab I believe and I watched the entire series in one sitting because he just made it so Interesting. I'm not saying you have to do anything what I say, so what makes you happy first and foremost. However if you wanna grow maybe it might help.
Found the guy it's Memphis, from what I can tell it's a similar concept, old rusted car and he's fixing it in his garage. Of course a lot of his growth is from a random viral video but regardless he does a pretty good job
Winging it like a pro! Let’s hear how you decide what and where you are cutting and maybe a bit before you start and what you find. You are definitely having ago and it’s great!
Thanks Bernard, I have got some things to help with filming and a mic, I am going to try and step up the quality a bit, unfortunately I've done a lot of cutting already but I did show the rust from going up a bit further. Planning on spending most of this weekend at it so should have another video up sometime this week
