I have had a really strange reaction to dextroamphetamine. I was prescribed it to help me with narcolepsy. I have been diagnosed with central and obstructive sleep apnea. I take opiate pain killers daily and have done so for 5 years. I have tried to use the cpap machines for years and not only did it not help but made the sleep apnea events worse. Always more than 30, sometimes over 45. When I used dextro and used the cpap machine the sleep apnea events went to 1 per hour, never more than 3. I ran out of dextro and the events returned to 30-40. Immediately after taking 2 dextro at 6pm and going to sleep at 12, the morning after my events returned to between 1-2 events. My sleep specialist hasn't seen this happen before. We are currently trying to understand it. Would be very interested if anyone else has had this happen to them.
Holy shit, same exact thing. Cpap made my chest and lungs hurt, caused hyperinflation, and I stopped all cpap use. I have been diagnosed with narcolepsy without cataplexy, but the doctor says he isn't 100% on that diagnosis, as there are some differing issues than the typical presentation. But he said regardless, we have to treat the daytime sleepiness. I am also on opiates for a chronic back injury. Doctor was thinking the episodes were from the medication waking me up randomly, thinking maybe my body was not absorbing the medication completely due to my gastroparesis somehow. They are clueless. Everyone is just guessing. They even took me off the Adderall for 2 weeks, but still no answers

I do agree it can benefit someone’s life when taken appropriately. However, we have to consider the fact that this is a drug and drugs alter the chemistry of your brain. At some point when you get older you may feel like you want to live life free of any mind-altering substances, and it can be much more difficult to resume life normally when you have take a drug to function your entire life. It is trading a short term benefit for a long term negative, which is the case with most drugs. Just something to consider…
Sent me to the head Doctor @ 52 years old n took 8 hrs of testing n it’s the best thing that ever happened to me.First thing Doc ask me is you had a hard time in school Bingo Doc. After taking it I didn’t realize what I was missing in life it’s worth the side affects.

Amphetamine isn’t really recreational in my view, especially in the form of adderall with its left handed formulation added. It doesn’t really cause much euphoria and in abuse it really causes dysphoria. Methamphetamine is, on the other hand, very recreational because of the massive euphoria it can create by its speedy routes of administration.
I love drugs but I have never found adderall particularly addictive. Cocaine is a hell of a drug though 😂. Adderall definitely helps me focus and concentrate. I do not experience much anxiety normally, so much so that I am too accepting of fairly unacceptable conditions. This sounds like a good problem to have in theory, but in reality it makes me not do what I need to do. I’m almost always in a good mood so I just feel like I can do whatever and it will be okay. But sometimes it isn’t! One thing I’ve noticed about adderall is that it is sort of an anxiety inducing drug. Obviously as it wears off you feel more anxiety but even when I first start feeling it’s effects I feel this weird new sensation that I need to be doing something. Although about 1/5 times I take it I get sleepy. Very odd.
Every one knows this somewhere in side. but every one suffers in a way and will take any limits to subside any pains of any kind. We are human going deeper in Depth of the body mind and soul buy a strange gravitational of some course's possibly spirital and by Science predictions of every thing falling apart including souls .

Idk nor do I understand why just because a doctor gives you idk let’s say 10mg 3x a day for moderate-severe add/adhd, doesn’t mean that you have to take 3 a day try breaking the tablet in half and wait at least 4 hours before reedosing if you’d even have to! I get prescribed 30 mg dextroamp-amphetamine once a day and I just started 2 days ago and I took half of a half the 1st day then today only a half and I’ve been fine since 1033am was when I took the half it’s proof that you might not need to use or take 3 tablets a day expecially if your prescribed instant release because it works almost instantly! For some could take up to 15 minutes to peak or feel the fullest effects! For me it seems to work in no more than 1 minute, and I’m just now feeling The what I think is a bout of fatigue and ready to crash but had to post a comment while watching this!
My ex boss/CEO was on the highest dose of Vyvanse... She was completely unproductive and obsessive of everyones activity. She stared at her laptop 10 hours a day and never showed emotion. Amphetamines are poison to the soul.

My doctor said he cannot write a prescription. He said go to a psychiatrist. My wife says no. I have ADHD & Dyslexia. I just need 2 mg. Break a 5m in half.
How long is a ‘while’? To where one would have three weeks of withdrawal. What if a man on long term aderall impregnates a woman?
He passed away at age 73, on March 11, 2022.
I take 5 mg once a day it works and I don't even notice it just a lil boost in mood sometimes but I'm on k pins and busipron and soma lol yeah it's allot but I use to be a heroin addict I'm clean now
I don't think any kids should be on amphetamines. But I do think any adult that wants the medication should have access.
Most reasonable take humanly possible

Amphetamine isn’t really recreational in my view, especially in the form of adderall with its left handed formulation added. It doesn’t really cause much euphoria and in abuse it really causes dysphoria. Methamphetamine is, on the other hand, very recreational because of the massive euphoria it can create by its speedy routes of administration.

Wow, the side effects wtf. How are these drugs legal?
MY PHILOSOPHY IS THAT IF YOU START LOW AND WORK YOUR WAY TO A HIGHER DOSE IF NEEDED THEN DO SO

You Nailed this subject very well Doctor
I love adderall

I guess nothing it's good about this med. is this how doctors and therapists talk to their patients about a drug?
No good meds
If you split and they test you to see if your taking it if it showsba lighter dose theyll know you are not taking it as prescribed
You can't spank a kid in France. We no longer are in 1910 or 1970 ...
It's illegal.
this guys entire BS "presentation" is basically "Screw 90 years of data saying it helps people, just beat your kids"
Adderal is an amphetamine, one of the two drugs that is a known but not commonly recognized, Anti-Suppressant.🤸🚴🤸🥝👓🔭
What?? 🤡
My ex boss/CEO was on the highest dose of Vyvanse... She was completely unproductive and obsessive of everyones activity. She stared at her laptop 10 hours a day and never showed emotion. Amphetamines are poison to the soul.
16:09 bi polar and aderall
Back in the day you could take Seconal do crash Today you can take Klonopin
omg ... DR. please give me this drug...... I pound snatch on it!
This guy is so wrong on so many levels. Looked him up and LOL. This Dr is nothing but a dermatologist who has NO business talking about ADHD medication since he isn't a psychiatrist.
