Seems to be a lot of Arcane Odyssey Enjoyers who watched this video, I'll defiantly give it a full review some day, once I'm done with my FFXIV review. If you're someone who hasn't commented yet, I've been told they removed the bandit beating quests and supposably repeatable quests in general, which I'm very much in favor of, as well as added newer content to do to get gear.
to clear up some of your negatives on AO. Lack of content is due to it being early access(not a full release cause Vetex knows he cant call it that). Dead servers because your in Nimbus sea which is incomplete with only a couple Islands and one main hub which can easily result in people farming other players(also the lag generated by a bunch of people with big AOE's on one island fighting each other at the same time is not gonna be good). The bosses in my opinion are ok tho I do agree the jump between the bronze sea final boss and every boss before him is immense but bosses do have attack patterns that are easy to read, the only problem is that boss fights are easier with magic while if your using fighting styles your gonna be in a world of hurt.
@@CallMePipani not unless an assassin is farming low levels. I swear its either Talos or Sailors. But free kills for me since they usually cant fight someone their own size.
to be more accurate, Arcane Reborn is the unofficial remake of Arcane Adventures, Arcane Odyssey is the true successor of Arcane Adventures not Reborn since one game is unfortunately discontinued due to a Roblox update breaking the game entirely and the other is a remake NOT made by Vetex. I'm hoping that AO does not suffer the same fate as AA due to a game breaking update on the platform.
Hopefully. If AO dies because of roblox, we would probably get a reupload with Nimbus and maybe Virmir sea completed and thats it. Or no reuploads and we all go to world of magic to be bullied by the level five ten thousands.
@@DenseMelononly time i see bad ai is just some dumb sharks become vegetative stage after i shot them once. But still ao ai is advance as hell, they even know how to aim and predict your movement to even combo and timing you like those high level rival and insanity 1-3 atlanteans, sure ofc they can get stuck sometimes but is it even a problem?
You know the dead server part is literally intended... Right? They released Nimbus sea so that players could level up and lowering player count helped with leveling. This was an intended feature.
The main difference that World Zero and Arcane Odyssey has against Vesteria is that there is an actual goal in AO and WZ, meanwhile in Vesteria... When I first played it I was literally clueless on how to get gear, where to even FIND enemies and where to get quests. I had to go and search through RUclips just to figure out how to play, which is probably why it isn't as popular as other MMORPG's as there isn't really an endgame goal.
@@lapizgaming3263 this, events are meta and some meta items unobtainable due to that, I stayed up every night for the frozen yeti event and didn't get the mythic icicle I wanted, it felt good to just NOT play it anymore, it has a horrible endgame

Maria drops warrior weapons so she might be near the lvl of 2nd awakening
@@yp2gr_9Wz89Qz3 I found Maria hard as well, but after getting used to her moves, I manage to kill her with around 900/1700 hp left. Spend time healing while she does the wave slashes on the ship, and use ranged weapons (preferably flintlocks / muskets) to shoot her before she dashes to the next spot. I found parrying / blocking VERY useful against her. With all that, I killed her around 20 times to get the plunderer and all of her clothing.
I like arcane odyssey stat system, as when you have a certain percentage of stats in different things it changes your build, and when you awaken it gives you different abilities based on what stats you chose, such as imbuing magic into your weapons, or gaining a second magic. Also, its hard to hate on the game when its a single dev working on it
@@yuyoshida7359 yea the only bad thing is that the only real way to know what stat builds are what is by using the wiki or youtube, also u only get one free stat reset and interchange pots are hella expensive
Vesteria was one of the best Roblox MMOs I used to play but as said in this video, it fell off pretty hard. Played it back in 2021 and I remembered it being so lively and since I'm into endless grinding, I honestly don't mind the tedious level up system. Had a lot of fun for about a year and that was when things took a rough turn. Really bad management I'd say, too frequent changes, and over time I just felt like I just can't accomplish much as the endgame for most people I'd imagine is to get the best gear possible which is heavily rng dependent.
Yeah, the devs ruined it by first making unwanted and meaningless changes for good 2 years straight and then started adding horrible, low-quality updates to the game. Peaked around the free release (2021), wasted potential for the best roblox mmorpg.
@@plorunochron I remember shortly before it got its free release it peaked at around 10 concurrent players (I was one of them lol). It was really cool to see it jump to the thousands right after they made it free ... and then it fell off lol
World Zero dev here! I totally agree that some of our mobs early on have some clunky animations! Our mobs later in the game have improved animations, but I'll see about refreshing those early game mobs! Great video!
@@AO_loverthey do? unlike blos frus... you don't need to play ao for 100 or 200 hours for it to get fun, lol If max lvl stuff in ao is where the fun begins then it can be easily achieved after like 10h or less (some people are speedrunning this game so much-) Idk how about others but for me the game starts being fun after arriving in redwake, I like the 1st quest, then there are 2 or 3 less-fun spots before completing the current story
@@yp2gr_9Wz89Qz3 i havent touched the game in like 6 months or more but it was really fun for me, i was creating builds and characters and finishing the game on the first day, i gotta catch up with the newer updates cuz i wasnt even aware there was a dark sea update💀
This and Vetex was pressured into release before he was "satisfied" with the game. I remember him talking about releasing the game once Nimbus sea was done, but because of the hype he had to release early. (its been 1 - 2 years so if im wrong mb)
Roblox’s new homepage recently boosted Vesteria to 1.2k active players without an update to the actual game. I honestly think it’s more a problem of how to website gets the games out to Roblox. Especially since many of the most popular games have a ridiculously high player count.
No, the issue with vesteria is the horrid dev team that instead of adding quality content started spewing horrible content for the past 8 months, and before that there was no content added other than the Terul's Maw update, which came out UNFIINISHED. It adds salt to the wound knowing that 3 years before a Badlands update was announced - which was stopped being worked on in secret, even though it was being said to the playerbase that its in development - we eve got a map teaser as a halloween event. Its not even half of the story but ill add that the dev team couldnt care less about playerbase feedback and suggestions. And its not just the playerbase, when i got accepted into the tester team my feedback was completly ignored and the only people whose suggestions had a chance of being added were the ones who were good friends with the developers.
Pretty good and insightful video. As a long time Arcane Odyssey player (~315 hours on main file) and an experienced Vesteria player I have some stuff to say. The problems you stated with Vesteria were spot on but with Arcane Odyssey I'll have to disagree on some things. Most the problems with the game actually come from gameplay, visual clutter and optimization. The Dark Sea is extremely visually cluttered (although still fun), fights are hard to track due to magics being flashy and the optimization is... bleh... The inventory system is by far the least optimized part of the entire game and you have to keep in mind the game loads every NPC ship on the game offscreen and that's not even the worst optimized part of the game. On the gameplay side of problems -- Vetex for some reason listens to a group of amateur "game balancers" with a google doc on balancing suggestions that are almost always implemented and end up breaking the game one way or another. (For example, Shadow and Acid mages have been the forefront of the meta for literally months at this point despite other classes shifting wildly and jumping around. They also have the tendency to overbuff and overnerf a ton. Berserker is dead in the water right now and Warrior jumped from quite literally the worst class to the 2nd best class behind Mage) Your idea of the stat system in AO is actually a huge misconception -- the main idea of the class stats in AO are actually just to unlock more skills. The main stats come from the gear building which is a big thing about the game that keeps a lot of people (me included) reeled in, since there is no single best armor and thus creates infinite combos for your specific playstyle. The game gives you freedom to play how you like. For a casual playerbase this video is an amazing introductory look into the basic mechanics of the MMORPGs of Roblox, states it all how it is in terms of an experience geared towards someone who doesn't wanna sink in too much time, but for people who are looking into playing a ton this video misses the mark on Arcane Odyssey's review.
You really need to check out Fantastic Frontier. It's a really damn cool game. I have so many fond memories of exploring the map early game with my friends. The map isn't even that huge but it feels massive due to limited sight and from how detailed some parts are. The art style of the game is also really unique but works super well.
@@LieEaterUsoguito be honest, I kinda like how there's no trading. I Think it encourages the player to go out into the world and actually work towards getting a unique item rather than farming money and buying it from the nearest player. Then again, by default 90% of the game is just grinding money to buy something. But that's just me, probably an unpopular opinion.
I have 100+ hours on AO and theres no lack of content. You can explore underwater structures, explore Nimbus and bronze sea, fishing, explore the dark sea and much more. I can see on your build and inventory that never have in the dark sea.
Ye, he prolly just played the story and a few side quests Also as someone with around 500 hours in this game (330+ on main file, I have 8 more files and one that was deleted)... I have to say that sometimes certain things get boring -A few times I stopped playing ao for a short moment, -Sometimes I stop doing treasure charts or diving, but after some time I come back to it and the cycle repeats, -I went to the dark sea many times but rn I quit it, So ye, for some people (especially sweaty pvpers who dont know anything else OR for those with many hours) the game doesn't have that much content But it still is a heaven for pveers (including me, I hate pvp) Ao is very entertaining, ngl
@@randominternetman-kb7vr nope I also have many hours in cyberpunk 2077, maybe like 300+ And another game but idk how many hours And maybe some other roblox games that I forgot about now I wish roblox had the hour counter without needing to download smth other person made I played world//zero a lot too, might have some hours in vesteria, aand in royale high (I am a female and I played rh for the first time maybe in 2017/2018, that's the explanation for why I could have some hours there)
What I feel about this video is that it's a bit outdated, since most of the bad points don't exist. The islands aren't that far away at the beginning of the game, and towards the end you already have a fast boat to move between them. Lack of content is something subjective, since it depends on how you play the game. If you just want to get through it until the end of the story, then you won't enjoy the other things in it. I have a lot of fun doing different types of builds in this game. Maybe the most boring part is doing cargo to get the Brig. The servers even have a lot of players, for me they only stay like this at midnight. And the level requirements and repetitive missions haven't existed for a long time.
The unbalanced bosses, I can agree with when it comes to Calvus as the bosses before are nothing like him. The big map stuff, just get a better boat. The NPC AI actually isn't bad at all, there's not much more you can do with it; they serve their purpose. Lack of content is also a bad argument because there's plenty. You go from talking about the many different magics to then saying "oh lack of content", all those magics and the content you can get spanning from boats to weapons to your own characters is a massive amount of content for a pre-full release game. The one poor judgement I really dislike though is the dead servers thing. Nimbus sea is meant to have a smaller server size for development reasons which will be expanded in future. Any other rare instance of landing in a dead Bronze sea server is just Roblox being Roblox. Since I'm making all these counterpoints though, I will say the balancing between classes could be much better.
@@Deveshkha it's less he unbalanced and more that he's supposed to be a skill check for the player to make sure they're good enough to take on the other bosses
@@Deveshkha yeah, he's pretty annoying, moving outside of your field of vision which is pretty annoying plus the healing. But, it's just a skill issue, you just need to look around constantly and dodge/block alot of his moves. Hell some of his moves are pretty to dodge like the spear throw one ,the dash and slam sword one and the rain of arrow.
I would like to interject my argument by saying: Arcane Odyssey lacks meaningful content. By the time you've reached endgame or heck even mid game, you've ran out of things to do. I know people will start to say: oh do exploration, fishing, treasure chart, diving, etc. All of those things are built so terribly it is boring. The gameplay loop is the same, you go around, jump into a random place, collect a few chests and leave. Every side gameplay mechanic is built kinda lackluster. Fishing is a borefest, treasure charts are horrible and requires an external tool (something that you should not have when playing a game, stop making the argument of looking up the wiki, its stupid), diving points which are unique until you realize the stamina system is built stupid and you die before you reach the surface. But "oh make potions", why do I need to make potions just to do a basic task in the game? Then theres dark seas which is fun for 2 minutes until you realize the countless problems with it. Randomly getting oneshot by lighting, atlantean ships, falling into water and drowning (seriously my gripe with the stamina system is is immense), falling into water and being eaten by a shark, slightly touching lava and vaporizing, islands being terribly far away... there are so many minor inconveniences and hinderances that stops you from enjoying it. "But oh get good or something", brother I want to enjoy the game as it is, I dont want something outside of my control to affect how I play. It is stupid that I just randomly die out of nowhere, it is not a fair mechanic. The only gameplay mechanic that I have enjoyed in Arcane Odyssey is the naval warfare system, up until they added mortars which game NPCs the ability to sink your ship instantly out of nowhere. In the end, I like AO, but there are just so many things that holds it back from reaching its potential. And the fact that people excuse vetex by saying its an Early Access doesnt fix the fact that all of the features he has implemented are flawed and unfun to play with. I very much hope that Vetex will fix many of these issues, but I doubt it would happen honestly.
There is no such thing as "x amount of points in the specific skill point or else ill be unmatched " in Arcane Odyssey, all stats besides vitality increase your base damage stats for all skills so you are more putting stats to unlock classes that have specific stat requirements that have different awakening perks and unlock skills that meet the stat requirement.
It’s just annoying how the game doesn’t explain how the stat system in AO works at the start of the game, ‘cuz you only realize how important it is when other people tell u how it really works.
@@Crovaketero good to know but it is true that all stats beside vitality increase base damage indirectly since by having any other stat but vitality you are getting increased damage from levels without reducing damage from vitality
@@ME-xc1st again, incorrect your damage increases ONLY from levels, even if you have 270 vitality you will STILL do as much damage as a mage (excluding all the damage buffs like shapes and etc.)
one gripe i have with the end where he says "you could be waiting a whole year for a new update" which i have no idea where you got that from since arcane oddessy has had 3 updates in the around a year its been out and is switching to a monthly update thing. but other then that i agree the dificulty curb for the bosses was a bit too fast, i also feel like the dead servers thing is kinda a non isue since you can just switch servers using the menu takes like 60 seconds. other then that i pretty much agree with most the points you make.
I should have been more clear, when I said a year for an update I meant for story/level updates, since the Nimbus update was the first update that added more of the main story as well as upping the level to 136. I've heard about other content that added ways to get new gear and I'll defiantly check it out
@@IsanSamaa I believe that most updates moving forwards will have a higher level cap since they will be continuing the story a bit. The first few updates were adding essential features so there was no level cap raise.
@@IsanSamaa Including the Nimbus and Mistral update, there were 9 planned updates for 2024 which should all raise the level cap and continue the story, Vetex is pretty open about how the progress goes so it wouldnt have been hard to find that stuff out.

some stuff about AO tbf, final boss of first sea is hard if you A - didn't learned he's paterns yet B - Don't have a ranged attacks C - Didn't cook some good hp regen food. First boss of 2nd sea... tok 3- people and 4-5 attempts. About lack of frequent updates, there might be multiple reasons. First being the fact that AO is original game, not based on existing ip. which means that instead of simply picking some stuff from source material and adapting it to the game, they have to come up with their own ideas Second one was already said in the video - most of content updates add story pieces Anyway, very nice video👍
Arcane Odyssey stats system is super customizable imo, you are not forced to choose a class but you build one yourself.. the reason for stats points being set similarly among many players is simply the requirements for certain skills (scrolls, weapons, innate techniques…)
Vesteria is basically a farming and trading game by now. PVP sucks and its quite laggy in the same time, i'm still pissed that they add stamina in the game
As for the issue with dead servers: this was intentional by vetex. In the second sea, since there was a new story, vetex didnt want like 10 players doing the same quest objective as it would ruin the immersion in the game. Other players may also interrupt players who are doing the story, which also breaks the immersion of the story. So as a solution, they made the server player cap lower so that the new story can feel fresh and actually immerse you in it.
One thing I love about Vesteria is how your stats and items change how your skills function. For example, if you have 30 dexterity as a mage, your mana bomb becomes a multi mana bomb hitting multiple times. Which stacks with other effects. My favourite build was the webbed staff. Where you can spam multiple venom puddles and anything within its area of effect just gets pulverized.
Unique and fun mechanics that gets completely ignored in the video because the dude played 10 minutes of the game before deciding to make a video to cry about it
One thing i love about vesteria is the constant disappointment of horribly driven development when i played it, and the fun of mocking it now that everyone i met on the game quit.
Idk if u know but King Calvus is a KING. He's hard to beat for a reason, he litteraly the ruler of the Bronze Sea, the big map is not an issue , u can upgrade the speed of the boat the server in the Nimbus sea was limited to 5, the AI are goated and a bit to hard to beat and the rest i didn't understand ur spiel. Also, the video is great, good luck for the future
You need stat points in AO because they determine your class/build. The armour and weapon stats are there to boost certain attributes of attacks. Having them separate is actually quite easy to understand and I would say its even efficient.
In vesteria changing your character doesn’t matter at all since most armor hides it and stat system is kinda cool since it has a perk system that syncs with it
"unbalanced bosses" ok thats just skill issue LOL "lack of content" early access... "bandit beating" level gaps have been removed, theres enough levelling methods now great vid
true bro for example the bosses are just like that even lord elius can beat a goddamn level 125 and even our item value on boss item ARE HIGH and come on slow boats?! get a archaic sail and put some enchants on yo boat! we endgame players on ao are hard working and even op as fuck some of us want to do pve some do pvp!
Early access doesn’t mean your game is exempt from content issues. It can exist, and it will exist until something’s done about it. (Which vetex did with the dark sea, so that’s good on him, but the dark sea can use some work to be a little less tedious).
Have you seen the roadmap? The only content planned is kingdom alignment, spirit weapons, a few side bosses, and more npc ships. I would like to see people keep rambling about it being an early access once the game is full release and is just how it is now.
A quick insight as a world zero grinder (presteige 3 lvl 150 which basically translates to about 450 levels), I noticed that your highest level account is only lvl 66 (assuming you havent gone past that). The game gets a lot more fun when you hit max lvl and have access to world 7 and up since they're a lot bigger and have actual exploration potential. Once you hit max lvl you have the option to go back to lvl 1 and unlock very strong classes. Plus the endgame content is nice if you enjoy grinding, you can pick up the infinite tower or nightmare dungeons to grind for the best classes. But honestly I've been feeling burnt out as well so almost everything in the video stays true, just wanted to point out some stuff which you may have missed. Also the double loot is a seprate gamepass, the battlepass (only gives cosmetic items, it also has a free pass which gives a lot of good stuff as well including super chests) can be bought by F2P players since they made crystals grindable, therefore most the p2w cosmetics can also be obtained if you grind for it. I'm an F2P player and I have a lot of cosmetics plus a battlepass.
About Arcane Odyssey's "dead servers" that is just in the Nimbus Sea. Not sure if Vetex has revoked it yet or not but the player server counts are all 4 in the Nimbus Sea so everyone can get into a good spot there without being camped and instantly killed on initial arrival to the Sea. A concern that was thought about in some interviews and shit and was said in the discord I'm pretty sure.
Deepwoken is a mmorpg too, but a hidden one, if that gem got [FREE] you would see like over 50k people playing daily (or even more), it would be insane cool because new players are cool and change alot how the game feels (may rise in Trolls or may rise in people who like to help each other) in that sort of way. Tested all these games, and for me. My star will be on Deepwoken, Lore is really good if you think about it, concept, Soundtrack, enviroment, all was really made with love (not saying that the other mmorpg are not made like that) Short words: Vesteria. i played for a few moments, i believe the problem is not CONTENT and yes QUALITY. World Zero looks like those generic anime mmorpg i see nowadays, and the fact that you can pay 2 skip progress DESTROYS all the game already. bruh Arcane Odyssey Played a few moments too, well, not my type, the combat is weird, bro seeing stuff jumping and spamming skills is just boring, if the combat was something like Combat Warriors, OH , ok, now we are talking. Jumping + skill + make it basic combat = lame. (you can hate me now) DEVAS OF Creation will release soon, i hope this game don't get too pay2win and the lore be good. I hate just to '' walk around enjoy the enviroment '' but there is not enough monsters to kill or interact. remember. You are playing a game, if the '' Solo '' experience of the game makes you happy and satisfied, OF COURSE with more people it will be even more engaging, doens't matter when you got trolls on the community, (every single game has them lol)
Good video dude! i'm sure other people have already said that arcane odyssey got rid of spammable quests, and there's a ton of features you didn't talked about on this video like the treasure maps, variaty on builds thanks to the modifiers system and gems and much more, hopefully you decide to make a vid on arcane someday, love your vids!
I've been a long time player of arcane odyssey and i got a few things to say about your review, which is a pretty fair one. about the unbalanced bosses, yeah some of them do have insane difficulty spikes, especially when i see a ton of messages in discord asking for help on the same two bosses that every new player struggle on. they could use some work to make them a little more beginner friendly but i think theyre fair enough when you think about these bosses like souls-like bosses or something close to that; its about the learning process. about that "classic WoW moment", that is not the case anymore. with the recent update, main story quests are no longer level locked as there are other methods to leveling which btw, also serve as your side content. while granted some of them may not be long term fun engaging side content, theres also the dark sea, which is the focus of by far the biggest side content update ever so far in AO. theres also pvp and clans, but personally i prefer grinding the items that players like to use in pvp as my form of engagement in ao (just personal taste for me). About the dead servers point, you showed a nimbus sea playerlist. i should tell you that nimbus server sizes are smaller than bronze sea's (8 max in nimbus and 14 in bronze). and while its true that sometimes you may get put into a deader server sometimes, the servers will fill up eventually. or alternatively you can go back to the main menu and view the server list and pick an optimal one for you, which can be sorted by region and players. servers also tend to be smaller on a newer sea's release to allow players to experience the story first before the pvp chaos unfolds by bigger servers. nimbus sea's player cap was smaller on initial release with 5 players max, only being increased on the easter event update. bronze sea did the same thing when ao initially launched to the public. a little thing about the big map, small boat. there is a forced tutorial quest at the end of the frostmill arc which forces you to buy a sailboat. i personally dont find this problem to be a big deal since you can just start selling all the junk you have to the nearest vendor and/or grind for the galleons required to buy the brig. galleons are pretty easy to farm. there are also ways for you to obtain ship parts to upgrade your ship and make it go faster one more thing about your points made is that not all of the updates were solid. the initial nimbus sea release update is probably regarded as one of the worst updates of ao. for the 5 months of wait from the dark sea update, you really only get about approximately 10-25 minutes worth of additional story content if youre not struggling too hard on the progression (not to mention the infamous unintentional bug, now patched, that wiped a ton of rare weapons from players' inventories). though to be fair on vetex's part, he says that about half of those 5 months were spent fighting bugs on his bugs that keep springing up from roblox's changes. future updates probably wont be as solid as the preceding updates either as vetex, the sole dev of AO, will be focusing on monthly updates, meaning not as much content in each future update but at least more consistent updates (who knows, maybe it might be a good thing or maybe not). overall, i did enjoy your review of arcane odyssey and ill be looking forward to your 2nd review of AO. edit: i watched further into your entire video into the vesteria part. the reason why AO has that stat point investment feature is what determines your play style, from magic, fighting styles, weapons, (and eventually in a future update, spirit weapons) or a mix of the above. in other words, the stat feature determines your class.
If Arcane Odyssey has 1,000,000 fans, I'm one of them If Arcane Odyssey has 1,000 fans, I'm one of them If Arcane Odyssey has 10 fans, I'm one of them If Arcane Odyssey has 0 fans, then the entire universe has been erased, myself included. I LOVE ARCANE ODYSSEY
I played through all of world of magic, even though there wasn’t too much story, it was still an incredible game that got me super hyped for AO’s release
I actually used to love vesteria, but ever since i lost perfect weapons because of the scroll system i just quit 😂 i tried to get it all back a while after, but since they changed so much and almost none of the mechanics you knew could be applied, i quit, fr this time 😂😅
The scroll system im talkng about is basically when you apply a scroll, it does just that, it applies it, but their stats are mediocre compared to cursed scrolls which are needed for basically everything, trading, boss raids etc. but here's the catch, once you use these scrolls they have a 30-80% chance of destroying the weapon, and so if you had perfect substats on a weapon, you'd have to risk it for it to be viable, and as you can see, i lost.
Vesteria scrolled system is horrifically flawed. Success only cross from luck or because you are rich and nothing more. The power gap in this game has become so bad it’s not even funny
Just explaining some stuff with the games Vesteria and World 0. Vesteria used to be a very big/active game with an average of 1.5k+ people on it at a time. I used to play it a lot, and it was my favourite game on roblox for a whole year and almost the only thing I did play. But then, the devs started to promise updates and things that didn't ever happen which got people a little mad. Then the lack of updates made player counts drop. At the same time, the larger RUclipsrs such as some of the Revins (Major clan in the game) were quitting and soon after, one of the Devs was kicked out of the dev team. This dev (We'll call him nice dev cos I don't want to spread names incase I get anything wrong) who was kicked out streamed the game weekly and brought an extra 100 or so people on just for his stream and he was popular. He then suggested something to berreza about another dev being kicked out due to lack of activity (something like that idk the full thing since I don't have access to their DM's), but then berreza seemed to not like the idea and kicked our nice dev out. This nice dev was also friends with possibly the biggest Vesteria RUclipsr at the time, and so he also left. Almost a day later after our nice dev was kicked out, Berreza made a post in the Discord server trying to spite our nice dev saying "idk why we removed variants" (A thing many people wanted to add back to the game). The only problem was, variants were agreed upon to be removed, and the screenshot of the variants folder's removal, was of our nice dev's name removing it. So essentially, he was just trying to start beef for no reason which put many people including me off the game entirely. Luckily, our nice dev was actually forming connections with devs at World 0, and so the moment he was kicked out of the Vesteria team, he joined the World 0 team. Now I don't play World 0, but I've seen he's still an active dev their which is nice. This information is everything I've seen from my perspective of things, I did not research anything for this, this is a general view from the community
Don’t worry, we are building foundation from scratch. Bereza doesn’t really have a say in the development anymore, UNLESS it’s something huge. Vesteria is making its comeback this year
0:45 can anyone please tell me what game that is? i really want to play that again and i always keep searching for it but i finnaly see it on this video but no name of the game can anyone please tell me whats the name of that game? please thank you.
Here are some of my least favorite parts of ao 1. Having the ground be destructible in boss areas is so annoying especially in the lord Elias and King Calvus fight. 2. The stat system: having a unique stat system that decides your class, rather than just your stats is very unique though it can be confusing for newer players (such as myself when I started playing) who may become a savant due to them not really being given a heads up of sort (this also sucks since combining 3 or all of the stats is currently incredibly bad) though you do get 1 free stat reset thankfully
About the Arcane Odyssey stat system: The stat system is ment to make you choose a class which in turn- allows you choose your own playstyle. Not only that, Vetex is moving the game towards a system that's encouraging people to make their characters different instead of everyone playing the meta. So if you want to play with magic AND weapons then you can, and not only that but imbue your magic into your weapons as a reward for going that class. There are many types of classes people can try out so there's no point in saying it has little content. That's why Vetex gave us 3 file slots to mess around with You also never talked about the dark sea
Yea, my main is conjurer and I understand the system, I just think that it could be implemented better. I'll say it once and I'll die on this hill fighting to say this, stat point system in games are a lazy mans way of gaining strength. As for the dark sea, my next video will be a more in-depth look at AO so I'll touch up more on things I didn't get to in this video, as well as touching up on some mistakes I made.
@@IsanSamaa I can understand that, but I'd rather not want the stat system to be like deepwoken because of the type of atmosphere it has. Sure, it'd make it more unique but then again, if you wanted a game that makes you work for your stats and where everything about your build is based off your stats distribution... then just play Deepwoken. While they're 2 entirely different types of games, I feel like you're asking too much from a game that's just a fun RPG. Arcane Odyssey isn't a "hardcore" game and is **supposed** to be an experience where you can turn off your brain and just have fun. So saying the stat system is lazy means you're basically asking for more grind to grind only to get same end results
Bro amazing video I watched the whole thing. I honestly agree with all of your opinions though they’ve improved a lot of the flaws in arcane odyssey such as level gaps and also the dead servers were because the servers were set to like 5 players for a bit so people wouldn’t get ganked in the new update. Now with vesteria I’m sad to say that I agree with your opinion the games long gone unless a miracle happens. Anyways great video you’ve earned a sub! Edit: Vesteria Isn’t long gone but it’s looking to go that way because many players have lost hope. However, I don’t think that the game doesn’t have a chance at all because the devs are working hard to put out a new dungeon right now which is much different then other devs when they see their game decline in playerbase.
The saddest part is I was most excited to see where vesteria ended up, I expected at least a few thousand players and consistant updates and the such, but it felt like an empty husk of its formal self
@@IsanSamaa I have to ask, you did awaken, from what I saw (AO), how come you thought the stat system was somewhat out of place? It gives a buff depending on which stat build you decide to go through, some of them better, some are Warden, which isn't even in the game yet (Warden is a full vitality class). I'm not arguing, just honestly interested, it's the first time I've seen one of your videos, and I agreed with many of your points, not to mention how fair you were with your arguments, so I'm genuinely interested in what you'd have to say.
@@TK-zl8fu I generally dont agree with stat point systems in games, it adds a sense of min maxing that isnt needed. For example for the best build i need x amount of points in the specific skill point or else ill be unmatched in end gane content. When i first played AO a year ago i accidentally put my points in the wrong place which lead to me not being able to fully utilize my build. I think with the way stats work with gear in ao it would honestly be way better to replace the stat point system. It also would allow players to change their builds whenever they want, which is something im also for.
@@IsanSamaa I mean, let's be fair here, you can reset your stats, although you only get 1 free reset per slot. I do agree that most games with stat point systems had me feeling like I had to minmax, but I don't really feel that with AO, as the stats given through the points themselves are negligible, and it's mostly based on the items you have on, although some builds are stupidly op, that's true. Imo, if they found a way to replace the stat point system in a way that wouldn't ruin pre-existing slots, and would still allow for the variety it currently allows for, it could work better, but I personally can't see a feasible way to do that at the moment, they'd practically have to rebuild the game from zero (vetex already tried messing with the leveling system, and it resulted in a bug where weapons were getting removed if you unequipped them/had them in your inventory (it's also a recent bug, as it happened for around the first hour or so of the Nimbus sea coming out.) All of that put aside, I do generally agree that there are many places where AO could be improved, the point system being one of them, although from my personal experience, aside from the really broken builds, the game is generally balanced with its pvp, as I've soloed through it all and had zero issues. Thank you for the discourse, it was a pleasure to hear the other side of the argument. I apologize if this is all a huge essay, but I can't really picture a feasible way to cut down on the text, and I'm currently sitting with a huge fever, so I'd hope you understand.
The heck man. First: Vesteria player base is 700-1K players. It isn’t a boring bandit beater since if you’re smart and explore a bit finding some chests and new creatures you level up fast and in half an hour you are already at the great crossroads. The combat might be simple at start but as you progress it turns very cool yet simple with lots of strategies that might come to your mind. There’s lot of secrets, even places like Teruls Maw to discover. And they ask to kill the chad WHO HAS 15-20K HEALTH NOT 40 after you do all the primary quests and when you should be ready to kill it in 5 minutes. Now, the progression system is good and it’s true some things became worse since Beta, which I played, BUT it’s a player friendly and not brain dead game and that’s why it has so little players compared to anime like mmorpgs/rpgs or braindead games like Pet Simulator. Now, Arcane Oddissey (sorry to say) is just worse because it’s a beautified bloc fruits, just like that, after some minds it’s going from one part of the map to the other to grind.
I feel like your kinda biased in your comment. Vesteria is a TRASH GAME (atm). Vesteria's current state is so bad that one of my friends who is just recently trying to get into the game practically quit after 40 minutes. When you wrote, "Now, the progression system is good and it’s true some things became worse since Beta" I agree during beta it was good, BUT WHEN YOU SAID THE PROG SYSTEM IS GOOD I LOST IT. HAVE YOU PLAYED THE GAME IN THE PAST 2 YEARS? The prog is complete trash and NOT player friendly. There is legit video going over this by spiriteddefault (go check him out he's a good yt) but he goes over everything wrong and how it is NOT a new-player friendly experience. I know you might say the video is 9 months old but the video still stands as the game hasn't changed all that much in past 9 months (at least for newer players). When you said, "The combat might be simple at start but as you progress it turns very cool yet simple with lots of strategies that might come to your mind" I just sat there for a minute, pondering why just why. I'm convinced you have not played Vesteria in the past year, the combat SUCKS. See I don't know if your talking about PVE or PVP but ima talk abt both. PVP involves no strat (Especially mage) all you do is spam and win. PVE is also just a repetitive dumpster fire that sucks and no one wants to do. I remember spending days and hours grinding for forgotten dagger just for it to blow up and have to do it all over again. I would argue that the PVE is way worse then PVP as PVP is some what tolerable as PVE is just complete garbage. -This is all coming from a guy who spent 4 years playing Vesteria.
Ight bro but atleast AO isnt ran by a bunch of dummies who have no clue what theyre doing and just add meaningless low-quality updates. Could yap a lot more as a veteran player and a professional vesteria hater but already did under other comments.

1:27 "spiritual successor to arcane reborn" i almost punched my monitor when i heard you say this ignorant bs, arcane odyssey is the sequel to arcane adventures not arcane reborn arcane reborn is a fan remake of arcane adventures, get your facts right buddy
Arcane Odyssey is good, but it’s not the first, I really liked the first game, but the way I get chained and forced to, SLOWLY WALK for 5 minutes to continue the story is a pain, also after a while the grind is misery after updates, moment they added jewel crafting got me suffering after I maxed out 3 slots already…
About the unbalanced bosses, you refered to calvus, although i agree that he kills you fast even when overleveled, he works like a elden ring boss, you need to learn his patterns and each attack, i've killed him about 300 times grinding his armor set and it became very easy once i learned when to parry each attack (a shield helps in that), so although he is difficult uppon first encounter, he can be easily learned

about the unbalanced bosses part for AO, they're meant to be more powerful than you for the reccomended level, the game encourages you to fully get new gear before fighting the boss instead of just relying on levels for power
Nice video, just two things I want to say for Arcane Odyssey: -Newest update removed the level cap for the story line, except for the first awakening. But you should be very close or more than level 117 at that point -Bro I swear to god Calvus is really easy if you just parry his VERY telegraphed attacks 😭😭😭
I played vesteria when it became free, and suddenly the game saw a surplus of noobs (one of them being me). It was very fun to go through the first areas of a game and have a little community who were all near the same level or just on the same quest, rather than only meeting people in the boss areas or cities. Joining now, you would probably miss that experience, as the player-base has died down and most players are generally at higher levels due to the less flow of new players. I haven’t played the game in a year, but maybe with a new update, many other players will actively come to the game and restore the charm I saw in it
Do not try to play the game, at this point its a waste of time, devs gave up on adding quality content, playerbase died due to being ignored - suggesting something to be added was same as baning your head against the wall and the pvp is "balanced" by people who couldnt win a 1v1 without being carried by items. It used to be a peak game, it got ruined. Like i said - dont even bother. The only thing me and a lot of friends i met on the game do that is connected to the game is reminise of the time when the game was yet to be turned to garbage and make fun of how awful it got ran into destruction.
dont forget the "skip to endgame" gamepass you could buy in World//Zero to immediately skip to endgame while other users spent multiple hours, grinding through the whole game just to meet some noobs a higher level than them just because they got deeper pockets, so unfair
Relating to servers, the example given is a ninbus server which in release had a max capacity of 4/5 people then easter update increased it to around 8, bronze sea servers can have up to 14/15 players Maybe "actually 🤓☝️" moment but something that had to point out, if servers still dead or you look for one in the menu or the game takes u there according to the available servers or region wise
Not really a max player issue, if you look towards the beginning of the ao section where im leveling a bit, you can see theres only a few people in the server. Fair point that you can switch servers easily but it should be on the dev to make it more apparent to players or to find a way to direct players to more populated servers.
@@IsanSamaa Trust me, at the beginning of the game being in peace isn't that bad... after you start getting some fame (around 30k but even less sometimes) you're gonna start getting jumped by criminal and assassin players that want to raise their negative fame (bounty). Fame is cosmetic for players past the "Hero" and "Villain" titles, but if you have a clan the more fame the clan has the bigger its bank capacity is and the more galleons you can keep in it without risking to lose them if you die. Thankfully most "Evil" players will leave low fame and low levels alone.
Btw the nimbus sea servers barely has people because they’re really low like on release it was like 5 or 4 but now buffed into 8 Going back to bronze has a bunch of servers being the same
As a WZ veteran, I agree with what you are saying about animations, however the worlds in the game where made so far apart from each other that the first 6 world all suffer from these problems you state, but after world 6 it does improve a lot.
I believe AO has the potential to be a great game, but you need to be patient enough to wait for it. I always get excited whenever Vetex posts something new on the trello board. I also enjoy the story and lore so no complaints from me there. I just wish there was more repeatable content or something. Fights against NPC's are too simple IMO, same with ship combat. They are way too predicatble and they can be cheesed pretty easily. NPC's at low level just walk to you and m1 and the only real challenge is the captain and maybe quartermaster, but even they tend to walk to you and m1. They get stuck at walls and ledges (even the back of your ship). World of Magic had some decent enough pathfinding so id say bring that back and improve it with them now dashing in different directions and doing attacks in the air with their t-jump or leap/airstep. Also the blocking and parrying is SO weird with NPC's. It can happen at any time and they can do whatever they want while blocking. They should instead try to reactively block as if they are real players (but with accuracy varying with rng and getting more accurate at higher levels).
3:50 Nah, its really hard if you play just like this: attack, attack, attack You shoukd play not by just impulse, but also strategy. The boats arent slow, you that didnt customized it to be fast. Also, W video.
an rpg I have played for a very long time is called lords of normiral or whatever new name it got”previously known as lords of the range cape by the way”. I remember playing it back in 2011 and while it is outdated and kind of dead and I have basically beaten everything, I still go back to it once in a while. I remember liking how damage increased on your blades per level and the secret routes you could find to get to secret bosses was fun to find.
Arcane Odyssey is one of the only games I play on Roblox now. There are a couple points I would like to make, that contradict your cons. Unbalanced Bosses: You really are not supposed to just jump into bosses and expect to win. There are a ton of different ways to kill bosses. You can parry their attacks, brew ironskin/healing potions for protection, make throwing potions to debuff the boss, make food for even more buffs, etc. In my opinion, the most unfair part of the bosses is just hitting them, but that can be remedied by getting more attack size. Big Map, Slow Boat: This one really depends on the boat you use. It's not that hard to buff your boat to be faster. Also, half of the fun can be what you find between the journey. Pirates, whales, underwater ruins, etc. The seas are not empty. NPC AI = Bad: This is variable. The NPC's AI is random. In general, they will run straight for you and attack you. But when it comes to higher level AI, it gets better. They will use some of their dash attacks to close the distance if they're melee/weapons. They have access to all, and I mean ALL the different types of stuff the player has. And they utilize it too. Lack of Content: This opinion is the reason I made this comment. If you are looking in terms of straight story content, then you are gonna be missing out. The story does not take long, especially after they removed all but one level lock. Most of the content is in the exploration aspect. You can go to the dark sea, dig up treasure, find underwater ruins, etc. You can do bounty hunting/assassinations, fight pirates/the grand navy, and cargo runs. There is a ton of different loot, and of course there is cooking, brewing, and jewelcrafting. There is no shortage of things to do. The best part is replayability. There are three main classes you can be, which is great. You can do playthroughs of each class, which makes your playtime even longer. Dead Servers: I kind of agree with you on this one. When me and my friends are playing, we rarely encounter other people, even on a mostly full server. And then, most people ignore us anyway.
I remember playing Vesteria when it was free on weekends. The starting cutscene was amazing and immediately got me invested. The mushroom forest was also really fun to explore and beating the occasional elites with around 10 people was very satisfying. Unfortunately, after beta, my data was wiped. I expected to see the starting cutscene again but I was disappointed because it got removed. The mushroom forest was still the same but with a lot less players making it feel empty and hollow. The game was still very good and it was fun exploring the massive world but I was really mad when the best armour for my class required me to beat many people in the colosseum. Normally this would be fine but some classes are so op that they can literally one shot and have near infinite healing capabilities. I quit the game and came back a few years later and started a new play through. I had mixed feelings about the new spawn but they were mostly negative. Overall, there are many things that I wish they would fix and balance but after years of waiting, there was still no news.
as a guy who's played both AO and W//Z I have a few things to say: what you said about arcane odyssey, I partially agree with. the bosses are definitely hard for new players, but I wouldn't necessarily say "unbalanced". once you learn their patterns you can defeat them. not to mention dodging and parrying. travel time depends on your effort. you can absolutely get a very fast boat if you farm a bit. lack of content. not sure to say to that. personally I had plenty to do, and I was a massive PvE player (over 500 hours on one file). and the "classic wow moment" doesn't apply anymore because level requirements were removed for the story. lastly for AO: "bad AI". yeah I think this one is just straight false. the AI is the best I've seen in a roblox game. moving on to W//Z: I definitely agree with your points. the animations are very clunky, it's just dungeon farming for 90% of the time, and the combat has no depth. combat in W//Z is just button mashing and waiting for cooldowns. there isn't a way to block or parry and dashing is very.... meh. W//Z also massively ramps up in difficult in the end game. I'm in world 10 and can barely solo. although granted, the same can be said for AO. overall I think both are good games in their own right, but I think W//Z could use a lot more work than AO. my only real complaints about AO is how buggy it is, performance, and lack of QoL features. my main gripes for W//Z are bland combat, pay to win, and infinite grind. I won't comment on vesteria since I've barely played it
When Vesteria first came out I loved the game, but it feels like they started to drop off the deep end when they kept switching up the spider queen and making the hot bar white '-'
holy shit I can't relate enough what you said about vesteria, when I returned to vesteria 'after this huge change' the gameplay felt soulless. It lacked cutscenes, boss changes 'the queen spider lair where we had to do stuff before we fought it' I was devastated when I found out they removed it. I could solo many bosses easily as warrior too, when compared to back then it was actually really hard even with a huge raid of players. I always complained about warriors being useless in boss fights but this shouldn't have been how it's done. This right now feels even worse than alpha vesteria
14:27 Arcane Odyssey has some stats that are exclusive to armor. Additionally, the armor stats tend to be more broad with buffs, but armor exclusive stars are more specific and stronger
I find it kinda goofy how he said he liked the story, proceeded to call the dialogue cringey, and then complimented the story again. Also I’d just like to point out for all intents and purposes, at 7:45 these enemies aren’t even loaded Xd
Brotha, you did not need 3 different comments in the same hour. I DO think the writing is cringy, but MOST roblox games don't even attempt to write any dialogue, which is why I complimented it
@@IsanSamaa word. i just started replaying vesteria and for some reason all my story progress was wiped but i was still at lvl 15 and had all my stuff (i was more lvled on my alt)
Im a vesterian player and i still play the game. Back when i first played it, the start was actually pretty fun. Back then, there were no p2w so u had to lvl 10 for a class. It was very fun to figure out what to do and how to play. But now i see how boring the start is. It barely has any hints and guides. When i made a second and third slot, they changed mushtown (the starting area) at least 4 times, and it was very confusing. Like where was everything? Although now the early game has improved a bit (slightly due to content for mushtown), its still bored. However during mid game, the questing and dungeons part of the game was very fun. The game does not have many repeat quests, but has many one time quests and questlines. It is not required to do quests to progress, which was which i took soo long to max lvl. Most of the good quests are lvl 20-30, which requires u to explore the world. Scrolling system is basically gambling, which turns the endgame into a grindfest, and now is actually gambling because they added scrolls to the etyhr store (premium store). The bosses are fun to kill. But the player base (or whats left of it) is somewhat toxic (idk but like maybe the sweaty ones). The classes and subclasses, if u ever get to them, are very fun to play. The problem with vesteria in its current state, is that people get too bored at the start. They dont know thats theres more to this game then just killing a couple shrooms. Also lack of content for endgame. And p2w. The main reason for why this game is soo dead is thanks to its owner (bereza), who back then refused to listen to the community, leading to its death. Now however, things have changed, though i don't think there are many to listen to anyways. I still miss those old times of innocently play this game.
Ngl you pretty much said everything the community is thinking, tho I will say the fun ended at around dunes or pit, ever since then berezaa has simply not been doing good, even worse now as you said due to more endgame micro transactions, tho I wanna add that unobtainable items being meta is even worse I say this because I suddenly became a plat richer since all my vamp vests are unobtainable
Dead servers are not at all an issue You can just go to the server list and find a server you like Also, bandit-beating quests were removed in the last update, since to level up people can just do diving spots, cargo runs, side quests etc. And yes, there is little content, hence the "Early access", but you can still do a ton of stuff, bounty-hunting, treasure charts, titles, Dark sea, the list goes on
Seems to be a lot of Arcane Odyssey Enjoyers who watched this video, I'll defiantly give it a full review some day, once I'm done with my FFXIV review.
If you're someone who hasn't commented yet, I've been told they removed the bandit beating quests and supposably repeatable quests in general, which I'm very much in favor of, as well as added newer content to do to get gear.
They have indeed removed repeatable quests (yes i am an arcane odyssey fan)
ARCANE ODYSSEY FOR LIFE
Content to get gear is the same, just open chests until you get something good.
to clear up some of your negatives on AO.

Are they back?? I hope so ‘cuz a few months ago, they fell off so hard despite the fact it’s so high quality
That's crazy because last time I played almost all the servers were dead
Berserker is dead in the water right now and Warrior jumped from quite literally the worst class to the 2nd best class behind Mage)
Your idea of the stat system in AO is actually a huge misconception -- the main idea of the class stats in AO are actually just to unlock more skills.
The art style of the game is also really unique but works super well.
lmao I literally made the same comment before scrolling and seeing this. He definetly needs to check it out.
Yeahhhh that game is a masterpiece
ye
Its not really an mmo though since theres no trading or player economy, still a good game just waiting for that 5+ year in development update
Ye, he prolly just played the story and a few side quests

-A few times I stopped playing ao for a short moment,
-Sometimes I stop doing treasure charts or diving, but after some time I come back to it and the cycle repeats,
-I went to the dark sea many times but rn I quit it,

You get bored of the content very easily it's the same thing over and over, the only thing that changes are which bugs you get.
Have you every tried to explore the dark sea in AO? Yes, it is explorable. You Just need a relly good boat.
it's fun for the 2-3 times but it gets boring after that since it has no content right now

@@csilly1815 oil up buddy and it better be coconut scented
And one class doesn't even technically exist (there are some people with it but they slipped under the radar)
Elius is very unbalanced
@@Deveshkha it's less he unbalanced and more that he's supposed to be a skill check for the player to make sure they're good enough to take on the other bosses

I play ao and I guarantee that only levels increase ur base dmg, not ur class stats point
It’s just annoying how the game doesn’t explain how the stat system in AO works at the start of the game, ‘cuz you only realize how important it is when other people tell u how it really works.
stat points don’t increase your damage
@@IsanSamaa check out fantastic frontier

some stuff about AO
tbf, final boss of first sea is hard if you
A - didn't learned he's paterns yet
B - Don't have a ranged attacks
C - Didn't cook some good hp regen food.
First boss of 2nd sea... tok 3- people and 4-5 attempts.
About lack of frequent updates, there might be multiple reasons.
First being the fact that AO is original game, not based on existing ip. which means that instead of simply picking some stuff from source material and adapting it to the game, they have to come up with their own ideas
Second one was already said in the video - most of content updates add story pieces
Anyway, very nice video👍
Also make sure you customize the magic and/or strength that it does more damage and stats in your clothes matter
You mean re added stamina. (Again) they can’t seem to make up their minds about it..

AO AI is hood when it comes to the bosses and strong NPCs, but yeah the AI on normal enemies is very non-existent
In vesteria changing your character doesn’t matter at all since most armor hides it and stat system is kinda cool since it has a perk system that syncs with it
"unbalanced bosses" ok thats just skill issue LOL
"lack of content" early access...
"bandit beating" level gaps have been removed, theres enough levelling methods now

After Full access is literally just gonna be waiting for more abilities lol
@@M.I.P.A if you're losing to elius at level 65, let alone double that, then thats unironically a massive skill issue
Ao compared to all other rpg games is so much better. since it ao has only one dev compared to a full team
As a vesteria player i gotta say the best parts are the levels 10-30 cause you can grind like 5 different groups of mobs atleast

Nobody asked bro
About the dead servers point, you showed a nimbus sea playerlist. i should tell you that nimbus server sizes are smaller than bronze sea's (8 max in nimbus and 14 in bronze). and while its true that sometimes you may get put into a deader server sometimes, the servers will fill up eventually. or alternatively you can go back to the main menu and view the server list and pick an optimal one for you, which can be sorted by region and players. servers also tend to be smaller on a newer sea's release to allow players to experience the story first before the pvp chaos unfolds by bigger servers. nimbus sea's player cap was smaller on initial release with 5 players max, only being increased on the easter event update. bronze sea did the same thing when ao initially launched to the public.
a little thing about the big map, small boat. there is a forced tutorial quest at the end of the frostmill arc which forces you to buy a sailboat. i personally dont find this problem to be a big deal since you can just start selling all the junk you have to the nearest vendor and/or grind for the galleons required to buy the brig. galleons are pretty easy to farm. there are also ways for you to obtain ship parts to upgrade your ship and make it go faster
one more thing about your points made is that not all of the updates were solid. the initial nimbus sea release update is probably regarded as one of the worst updates of ao. for the 5 months of wait from the dark sea update, you really only get about approximately 10-25 minutes worth of additional story content if youre not struggling too hard on the progression (not to mention the infamous unintentional bug, now patched, that wiped a ton of rare weapons from players' inventories). though to be fair on vetex's part, he says that about half of those 5 months were spent fighting bugs on his bugs that keep springing up from roblox's changes. future updates probably wont be as solid as the preceding updates either as vetex, the sole dev of AO, will be focusing on monthly updates, meaning not as much content in each future update but at least more consistent updates (who knows, maybe it might be a good thing or maybe not).
overall, i did enjoy your review of arcane odyssey and ill be looking forward to your 2nd review of AO.
edit: i watched further into your entire video into the vesteria part. the reason why AO has that stat point investment feature is what determines your play style, from magic, fighting styles, weapons, (and eventually in a future update, spirit weapons) or a mix of the above. in other words, the stat feature determines your class.

We had the exact same reason for why we quit and both of us came back to it just to realize a shit ton changed and we couldnt be bothered to anymore

Here are some of my least favorite parts of ao
Also w subaru pfp
Arcane Odyssey's best roleplay part for me is when you read The Arcane Chronicles and read all the dialogues of the npcs
About the Arcane Odyssey stat system:
The stat system is ment to make you choose a class which in turn- allows you choose your own playstyle.
That's why Vetex gave us 3 file slots to mess around with
You also never talked about the dark sea
I wish you mentioned Voxlblade (new one) because it’s one of my favorite Roblox games of all time and it’s an RPG game. It has an AMAZING soundtrack
Agreed 👍
i remember when vesteria first released and it was actually fun 😭
i miss the old cut scene from vesteria a true nostalgia moment
Imo, if they found a way to replace the stat point system in a way that wouldn't ruin pre-existing slots, and would still allow for the variety it currently allows for, it could work better, but I personally can't see a feasible way to do that at the moment, they'd practically have to rebuild the game from zero (vetex already tried messing with the leveling system, and it resulted in a bug where weapons were getting removed if you unequipped them/had them in your inventory (it's also a recent bug, as it happened for around the first hour or so of the Nimbus sea coming out.)
All of that put aside, I do generally agree that there are many places where AO could be improved, the point system being one of them, although from my personal experience, aside from the really broken builds, the game is generally balanced with its pvp, as I've soloed through it all and had zero issues.
Thank you for the discourse, it was a pleasure to hear the other side of the argument. I apologize if this is all a huge essay, but I can't really picture a feasible way to cut down on the text, and I'm currently sitting with a huge fever, so I'd hope you understand.
I agree, tbh I'll also give this guy a sub :P
Could yap a lot more as a veteran player and a professional vesteria hater but already did under other comments.

thanks for pointing me towards arcane odyssey! i played the og arcane adventures way back when, only a little bit, but it felt so nice for a roblox game that i really missed it! especially since i was a little upset i never got past a certain point (and made it my mission to make a shadow powered character from then on lol). i knew about arcane adventures but it was at a point before any remakes were close to being done, so thanks, i played AO today and enjoyed it :)

i almost punched my monitor when i heard you say this ignorant bs, arcane odyssey is the sequel to arcane adventures not arcane reborn
arcane reborn is a fan remake of arcane adventures, get your facts right buddy
Arcane Odyssey is good, but it’s not the first, I really liked the first game, but the way I get chained and forced to, SLOWLY WALK for 5 minutes to continue the story is a pain, also after a while the grind is misery after updates, moment they added jewel crafting got me suffering after I maxed out 3 slots already…

Which game are you referring to?
About the unbalanced bosses, you refered to calvus, although i agree that he kills you fast even when overleveled, he works like a elden ring boss, you need to learn his patterns and each attack, i've killed him about 300 times grinding his armor set and it became very easy once i learned when to parry each attack (a shield helps in that), so although he is difficult uppon first encounter, he can be easily learned

about the unbalanced bosses part for AO, they're meant to be more powerful than you for the reccomended level, the game encourages you to fully get new gear before fighting the boss instead of just relying on levels for power
Nice video, just two things I want to say for Arcane Odyssey:
-Newest update removed the level cap for the story line, except for the first awakening. But you should be very close or more than level 117 at that point
-Bro I swear to god Calvus is really easy if you just parry his VERY telegraphed attacks 😭😭😭
@@plorunochron Damn… Farewell Vesteria 🏳
dont forget the "skip to endgame" gamepass you could buy in World//Zero to immediately skip to endgame while other users spent multiple hours, grinding through the whole game just to meet some noobs a higher level than them just because they got deeper pockets, so unfair
Relating to servers, the example given is a ninbus server which in release had a max capacity of 4/5 people then easter update increased it to around 8, bronze sea servers can have up to 14/15 players
Maybe "actually 🤓☝️" moment but something that had to point out, if servers still dead or you look for one in the menu or the game takes u there according to the available servers or region wise
Thankfully most "Evil" players will leave low fame and low levels alone.
as asweat in world zero. it hurt to hear "find a group" ive managed to solo every tower in the game on repeat
Btw the nimbus sea servers barely has people because they’re really low like on release it was like 5 or 4 but now buffed into 8
Going back to bronze has a bunch of servers being the same
The hardest part of going to my other files in AO is definitely having a slower boat
As a WZ veteran, I agree with what you are saying about animations, however the worlds in the game where made so far apart from each other that the first 6 world all suffer from these problems you state, but after world 6 it does improve a lot.
my man did it 😭i'm so proud
3:50 Nah, its really hard if you play just like this: attack, attack, attack
You shoukd play not by just impulse, but also strategy.
Overall, there are many things that I wish they would fix and balance but after years of waiting, there was still no news.
not saying that this is a bad thing, but you talk like my favorite yter Eclipse! loved the video man
Real OGS remember early Dunes Vesteria, life was so peak back then
as a guy who's played both AO and W//Z I have a few things to say: what you said about arcane odyssey, I partially agree with. the bosses are definitely hard for new players, but I wouldn't necessarily say "unbalanced". once you learn their patterns you can defeat them. not to mention dodging and parrying. travel time depends on your effort. you can absolutely get a very fast boat if you farm a bit. lack of content. not sure to say to that. personally I had plenty to do, and I was a massive PvE player (over 500 hours on one file). and the "classic wow moment" doesn't apply anymore because level requirements were removed for the story. lastly for AO: "bad AI". yeah I think this one is just straight false. the AI is the best I've seen in a roblox game.
moving on to W//Z: I definitely agree with your points. the animations are very clunky, it's just dungeon farming for 90% of the time, and the combat has no depth. combat in W//Z is just button mashing and waiting for cooldowns. there isn't a way to block or parry and dashing is very....
I won't comment on vesteria since I've barely played it
Oh hey what’s up flame? Maybe you don’t know me cuz I’m only on discussions
14:27
Arcane Odyssey has some stats that are exclusive to armor. Additionally, the armor stats tend to be more broad with buffs, but armor exclusive stars are more specific and stronger
I've been playing vesteria for a long time, and i have to say that the grind was a painful and the scrolling system pretty much killed the game for me
Great videos. Take my subscribe! (Glad to be the 458th subscriber)
it is not a bandit beating game when theres multiple ways you can level up like doing cargo runs, sinking ships, treasure charts, cooking and more.

"waiting a whole year for a new update" we fantastic frontier fans have got it really rough... (it's been 5 years since the last update)
Ngl you pretty much said everything the community is thinking, tho I will say the fun ended at around dunes or pit, ever since then berezaa has simply not been doing good, even worse now as you said due to more endgame micro transactions, tho I wanna add that unobtainable items being meta is even worse
I say this because I suddenly became a plat richer since all my vamp vests are unobtainable
Dead servers are not at all an issue
You can just go to the server list and find a server you like
Also, bandit-beating quests were removed in the last update, since to level up people can just do diving spots, cargo runs, side quests etc.
And yes, there is little content, hence the "Early access", but you can still do a ton of stuff, bounty-hunting, treasure charts, titles, Dark sea, the list goes on
