    i remember sitting in the vesteria vc, berezza popped in and chatted for a bit, last thing i remember him actually working on was a trickster rework, which to my knowledge, was incredibly lack luster because another dev took over and kinda just, butchered it... ive been on the hunt for a new mmorpg or just an rpg that i enjoy, and so far i can only recommend one Aeternae Memori (idk if i spelt that right) it has active devs (one of which scares me and totally not because of him seeing me in game and making my life hell) great gameplay (loops a little annoying but what game that has a gameplay loop isnt annoying) great animations fully modeled character designs fun events great character builds (almost anything will work) downsides semi p2w at the very beginning if ur starting out, the starter characters are not the best feeling but to be fair your starting out so nothing feels that good ALOT of grinding for actually good trophies (accessory basically) chapter 2 has been in development for years (its actually nearing the finish of it, they even canceled the halloween event this year because they are nearing the end of chapter 2 so they wanted to hard focus that)

    i only started like 6 weeks ago with the kaishi thingy and ive learnt like 800 of them so far (half of those are mature) and imo its good. however i edited the cards so that on the front the word is hidden unless i click a dropdown to reveal it, and i moved the picture to the front too, meaning the only thing i see at first on a card is the picture. i say "good" if i get the japanese word from the picture alone. for memorising words it seems to be working but im getting almost 0 kanji into my head because of my picture-only method, which is fine for now... i cant compare it to other decks at all since ive never tried any others, but i dont really think im lacking anything other than the fact that they use the same pictures for different cards sometimes (which shouldnt matter to most people since im the only one relying on the pictures, and i usually draw a new one for a card if it bothers me)

    • @IsanSamaa
      @IsanSamaa Месяц назад

      @@aFLYER1980 If you struggle with memory I recommend that you just study more. In the begging it might not be very fun, but eventually you'll get to immersion where you can simply read and watch your favorite anime or manga. I say this to motivate you, not to demoralize you, but generally people with dyslexia find Pictorial languages slightly easier to read over Latin based languages, meaning that the only thing you're really fighting over is short term memory, if that's the case that means you need to get it into your long term memory as fast as possible, by studying more, that is possible. I assume you're a naive English speaker that's never had to read Pictorial languages like Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, this actually effects your brain a lot more than you'd think and even though right now you might think that it's only you having these struggles, but many people old and young struggle with the early stages of Japanese. While Japanese is not a race, remember that your pace should follow your goal, not the other way around.

    • @aFLYER1980

      @IsanSamaa I'm doing little bits, but often, as I find this really helps me store things into my long-term memory. Also, I've found there doesn't seem to be many resources available for dyslexic learners, I.e. visual education; it's mainly textbook style, which is the worst kind of learning for us - I personally find it WAY easier with practical learning. I happy to take my own Japanese journey very slowly, even if it takes me 10yrs to reach N3, I'll be very happy.

    For me due to my mother tongue being Swahili it was easy to implement hiragana and katakana because swahili and japanese have the same way of pronouncing words but due to accents and the way their words are structured it doesn't seem so at all by first glance. I would advice people who speak a bantu language or any other language which their pronouciation is similar to Japanese to try to implement it to their everyday language. I am sorry if my English isn't good and if I made some grammar mistakes. English is my second language. I know it's not relevant for an English speaker but I think it's useful for people who speak more than one language because there's a possibility that your viewers might be bilingual.

      @@lucas839 I'm fairly certain you need to already be at a certain level in order to work at Jica, I'm also fairly certain you need to be able to read Japanese to work there. Learning Japanese without kanji is like learning English with half the letters memorized, you're gonna be able to make a lot of words but you'll struggle with a lot of other words.
