What if I'm on mobile 😔
Good video mush. Im currently at a UK university that is twined with a couple of japanese universities that make the tuition extremely cheap(£1500 not including living costs) . Im currently going through the application process, and God willing, this time next year, I'll be in Tokyo.
i remember sitting in the vesteria vc, berezza popped in and chatted for a bit, last thing i remember him actually working on was a trickster rework, which to my knowledge, was incredibly lack luster because another dev took over and kinda just, butchered it... ive been on the hunt for a new mmorpg or just an rpg that i enjoy, and so far i can only recommend one Aeternae Memori (idk if i spelt that right) it has active devs (one of which scares me and totally not because of him seeing me in game and making my life hell) great gameplay (loops a little annoying but what game that has a gameplay loop isnt annoying) great animations fully modeled character designs fun events great character builds (almost anything will work) downsides semi p2w at the very beginning if ur starting out, the starter characters are not the best feeling but to be fair your starting out so nothing feels that good ALOT of grinding for actually good trophies (accessory basically) chapter 2 has been in development for years (its actually nearing the finish of it, they even canceled the halloween event this year because they are nearing the end of chapter 2 so they wanted to hard focus that)
Have you ever played Deepwoken?
Real OGS remember early Dunes Vesteria, life was so peak back then

I really enjoy your videos! The way you talk is so unique and interesting.
If you live in an Asian country Kakehashi program is a mostly free high school exchange program supported by the Japanese government, though you likely need to be N4 or strong N5 before applying but it still seems pretty great if your parents are bit more nonchalant than mine
yooo that dawn of aurora clip
world zero im alr lvl max so yeah
i only started like 6 weeks ago with the kaishi thingy and ive learnt like 800 of them so far (half of those are mature) and imo its good. however i edited the cards so that on the front the word is hidden unless i click a dropdown to reveal it, and i moved the picture to the front too, meaning the only thing i see at first on a card is the picture. i say "good" if i get the japanese word from the picture alone. for memorising words it seems to be working but im getting almost 0 kanji into my head because of my picture-only method, which is fine for now... i cant compare it to other decks at all since ive never tried any others, but i dont really think im lacking anything other than the fact that they use the same pictures for different cards sometimes (which shouldnt matter to most people since im the only one relying on the pictures, and i usually draw a new one for a card if it bothers me)
and i am immersing at the same time. i started immersing before even doing anki. i listen to nihongo con teppei. weirdly, when i tried listening to other beginner level podcasts, i barely understood anything. hopefully i dont end up ONLY being able to understand teppei
@@mool487 I do recommend you switch it back from the picture only method, kanji is so important for studying so not being able to read at all is gonna leave you so far behind when you actually want to read anything. Not even mentioning the fact that immersion becomes significantly easier when you have Japanese subs and can sentence mine the shows you’re watching.
@@IsanSamaa idk... memorising the kanji alongside the word itself doesnt seem that important to me rn. i began reading childrens books yesterday and could almost completely understand them using the furigana, and i even learnt some kanji by reading the same words multiple times throughout the books. i get ur point tho, especially now that im starting to try reading properly
Idk why but I feel like I've heard this song before on a discord call...

The whole - you can learn both Hiragana & Katakana in 5 days, REALLY REALLY doesn't work if you have dyslexia, and struggle with short term memory. Slow and steady, for me - it isn't a race.
If you struggle with those, learning Japanese will be the hardest battle you'll ever have to face in your life
@@IsanSamaa maybe so, but I'm still going to try. And even if I can never reach a fluent level in Japanese, I will still have tried. As said, its not a race, so if I'm still trying in 10yrs time, so be it
@@aFLYER1980 If you struggle with memory I recommend that you just study more. In the begging it might not be very fun, but eventually you'll get to immersion where you can simply read and watch your favorite anime or manga. I say this to motivate you, not to demoralize you, but generally people with dyslexia find Pictorial languages slightly easier to read over Latin based languages, meaning that the only thing you're really fighting over is short term memory, if that's the case that means you need to get it into your long term memory as fast as possible, by studying more, that is possible. I assume you're a naive English speaker that's never had to read Pictorial languages like Korean, Chinese, and Japanese, this actually effects your brain a lot more than you'd think and even though right now you might think that it's only you having these struggles, but many people old and young struggle with the early stages of Japanese. While Japanese is not a race, remember that your pace should follow your goal, not the other way around.
@IsanSamaa I'm doing little bits, but often, as I find this really helps me store things into my long-term memory. Also, I've found there doesn't seem to be many resources available for dyslexic learners, I.e. visual education; it's mainly textbook style, which is the worst kind of learning for us - I personally find it WAY easier with practical learning. I happy to take my own Japanese journey very slowly, even if it takes me 10yrs to reach N3, I'll be very happy.
Should I be using duolingo too? I have been but don't know if it's a tool I also need for learning Japanese.

5:35 actually if you really listen to native speakers there are some who say ら as more and an L naturally and some who say it as more of a slightly roll of an R (idk how to actually describe it ngl) It’s not fully either but peoples native accents make it sound more one way or the other but it’s never like a hard L
@@SebastianSeanCrowroll of an r is considered kinda unprofessional, you’re not gonna hear that except from 不良 as said in the video らりるれろ is like the mix between a D and an L, no too strong on either side. If you said La with a strong accent you would be wrong

For me due to my mother tongue being Swahili it was easy to implement hiragana and katakana because swahili and japanese have the same way of pronouncing words but due to accents and the way their words are structured it doesn't seem so at all by first glance. I would advice people who speak a bantu language or any other language which their pronouciation is similar to Japanese to try to implement it to their everyday language. I am sorry if my English isn't good and if I made some grammar mistakes. English is my second language. I know it's not relevant for an English speaker but I think it's useful for people who speak more than one language because there's a possibility that your viewers might be bilingual.
You English is pretty much perfect lol
@@IsanSamaa Oh thank you very much
I forgot why I'm learning Japanese lol
Happens
There are a ton of different ways to learn a language. Find what works for you. The two most important things to have more than anything are perseverance and discipline.
Sounds like an expert did this!
I noticed that Japanese seems to be harder for English speakers to learn. I and my spanish speaking friends had a way easier time with Japanese than my English speaking friends. So if you're someone who speaks spanish at a native level, I recommend you find a program that teaches Japanese to spanish speakers, or just someone spanish RUclips tutors. 😅 Good luck 👍
スペイン語の発音と日本語の発音はちょっと似てるから発音的にスペイン語ネイティブの方が喋りやすいかもしれない
Even though I am Filipino, there are some Japanese words that were being loaned by us such as “tansan” which means carbonated water/drink but in Filipino, it’s the bottlecap of the glass bottle. Also “hanashi” which means talk, and also in Filipino which means “talk” but the term is “hanash”. Filipino language has also Spanish vocabularies due to being colonized by the Spaniards for 333 years (1565-1898).
Why does everyone make videos about how to learn Japanese with almost the same content?
Because everyone wants to jump on the content train
Why are you watching everyone's videos on how to learn Japanese? Just go out and do it lmao
Because that’s how you learn the language. Everyone’s guiding the learners, and it’d up to the learners on what they do next 😂. Whether they do the learning or watching more how to learn videos
Because innovation takes a lot of energy and requires a significant amount of creativity, it also comes with the risk of generating controversial arguments that may not be beneficial for making money on RUclips.
Japanese is not that hard honestly, the hardest language I have learned is Arabic, since you should not mistaken the pitch / sound, because that will change the whole meaning. What makes Japanese hard is, when you have means to pass the exam especially JLPT , that's when things started to kick in hard in your mind, since you have to memorize the whole thing, it makes your head spinning like hell... 😂😂😂
The pitch isn't really necessary though? It differentiates dialect to dialect(regional accent) so actual Japanese just judge based on context. And the Kyushu Dialect doesn't even have it!
The unnecessarily long title is SO japanese 🥰

@@bajlozi6873 it’s “possible” to study without learning kanji but trust me, it’s like trying to read English without knowing half the alphabet. Many sources to teach Japanese at higher levels won’t include romaji and most words will include kanji. Learning to read also increases your productivity in speaking since you’re immersed into native content, things like manga teach you how to speak more like a native and such
@@IsanSamaaidk my grandpa learned just by speaking it He never read any single line of japanese He worked for jica all his life tho
@@lucas839 I'm fairly certain you need to already be at a certain level in order to work at Jica, I'm also fairly certain you need to be able to read Japanese to work there. Learning Japanese without kanji is like learning English with half the letters memorized, you're gonna be able to make a lot of words but you'll struggle with a lot of other words.
