People make games, not companies. Therefore i'm more excited by this than mass effect 4. Too many times a company will burn through their talents then hire less experienced replacements. If you want good games, you have to track the names, not just purchase from the same company.
You are absurdly wise and the gaming consumer should absolutely treat video games like they treat films and musical acts: See who is in it, not what it's called.
I'm a month late but I agree, I'm more excited for this more than ME4 cause let's face it... Bioware isn't the Bioware we know anymore. They should leave ME alone especially without the original devs
Not only that, they will reduce staff after a successful project (forgetting that they'll need to re-hire or hire new people that have to be trained up for the next project) to cut costs or if one of their (sabotaged - by their higher ups through DEI-Practices and other nonsense!) projects fails (instead of you know, letting the creatives do their thing with minimal oversight)
@@dreamingflurry2729 I'm a software dev and I'd say the real irreplaceable talent are the writers. People capable of building a game engine and tools to make the worlds are relatively commonplace. Writers and creatives that think up inspiring and interesting worlds and plot are much thinner on the ground.

an octopus operating a mech suit is by far the coolest companion ideas i can imagine.
Sadly, that one’s been confirmed to be a woman in a mech suit since I made this video, but an octopus piloted mech suit is still possible in this universe!
A friend on a DnD campaign had a squid in a robot suit. He actually used two charsheets, one for the suit (fighter) and one for the squid (bard). He also used text to speech lmao (it was an in person game)
Wanted to support your non-cyberpunk content. I'm very glad i watched this video! As a massive, lifelong science fiction fan this game sounds insane. I can't wait! Too bad it probably wont be out for awhile.

I’m actually really hyped for Exodus and I’ve not been hyped for a new game in quite a while. I’m a massive fan of KotOR and Mass Effect so this game floats my boat XD
Looks like a mix-and-match of sci-fi elements we’ve seen before. Which is not a bad thing. Mass Effect was the same combo platter of existing elements and those first two games turned out to be highly entertaining. Here I’m seeing bits from Brin’s Uplift universe, a sprinkling of Niven’s Known Space, and a heaping helping of Pohl’s Heechee saga, among others. Tom and Max’s relationship looks straight out of The Twilight Zone episode “The Long Morrow,” the bittersweet love story between an astronaut and the woman he loves where cryosleep and mixed signals result in a happy/sad ending.
Star Wars combined a bunch of existing stuff into a new thing and that worked out pretty well. Maybe this will be the same.
I hope that it's going to be awesome. I love Mass effect and this is the closest we'll get to Mass effect 4.

Mass effect Andromeda is 4 installation but developers never finished the story and abandoned it

I have no idea how I've never even heard of this game until today, but the more I learn about it, the more I want to play it!
Like he said in the video, it was announced during The Game Awards of 2023. It was shown and a lot of people kind of forgot about it. Hell, I even forgot about it until early May. Its still really under the radar and aways off but you can keep up with it on the social sites. Also there a book set in the universe coming out this September.

The seen where the 3 drop-down from the top of screen toward the end, the mech looking thing looks like it is being driven by a cat.
I am wondering, if the celestial are smarter, faster, stronger, and with more advanced tech, how can we stand a chance? If that was the case, the first fight would be us shooting one, it looking at us as our wepons have no effect. It laughs and shoots us in the head. Roll credits.😅

You think it may be structured like Mass Effect, but that swinging, and the look of a rails game, makes me think it will be closer to Jedi: Fallen Order/Survivor in structure. The rails structure also allows an easier transition for time frames in the time dilation aspect. Get to a major story point, the plot has you fly to the next 'world' (time in this case) like Fallen Order. Also it avoids having the Mass Effect guys get their game compared to Mass Effect, when it becomes obvious it's not like it at all.
Well, I think it will be like Mass Effect in the sense that the ship will be a base from which we can build relationships with our set of companions and navigate to various worlds to deploy on missions to with those companions.
Although that could describe Fallen Order/Survivor to some degree, I think that aspect of the experience will probably be more similar to ME.
It does look like there will be more traversal mechanics than ME, and the time dilation narrative will limit how freely we can select planets and explore, but I think the ME comparisons are pretty inevitable for better or worse.
I'm not liking the graphics too much of a cartoon style for my taste I prefer more realistic graphics in my opinion ...the woman that got left behind reminds me of something fake that used to be on RUclips called Apollo 20 mona Lisa....supposably a crashed alien ship on the dark side of the moon and in the crashed ships they found a female they named her Mona Lisa..the woman in the game looks just like space Mona Lisa 😂....if this game has a great story great character all around that are unforgettable this game will be amazing .
The main trailer is a cinematic of the game friend. Not actually gameplay. And the short clips of gameplay shown is "Pre-Alpha". Not a finished product.
I would be happy if they dumped the time-dilation (yes: I know it's a realy thing if you go near light-speed, but that doesn't mean I want it in my science fiction)...otherwise this looks really good!

@@asura7915 I disagree with your point that the time dilation is the most interesting thing. I actually think the Celestials themselves are the most interesting thing. Humans vs Celestials is pretty much Humans vs their descendants. I've never played a game I can recall that had this concept. But I do agree the time dilation is interesting and needs to stay. No one has done a sci fi of this magnitude with this concept.
