Thank you so much for all your recommendations, please keep them coming! Philippines has officially won our hearts, and we’re going to be staying here for a while longer! ❤️

That flower is called milyones which translates to millions!
I’m not much for balut. I can and I’ve eaten it. Much prefer penoy, reminds me of calves brain, super yummy.

Cary is not the biggest fan of balut either, but he enjoys sipping on the liquid inside!

Was never fond of papaitan nor goat kalderata. I like Tagalog batchoy better and never developed the taste for goat, also not very meaty. I love me a good kaldereta though. And what what is arosep, or whatever that is? Lol.
I guess I’ll find out, unpausing the vid.
I see there’ll be adobong frogs too. That I’ve tried. My mom used to cook adobong palakang bukid and I miss that. Small frog legs cooked adobo style sans the soy sauce. Vinegar, garlic black peppercorns, reduced down, super good! She said that they were caught or raised in rice patties, thus palakang “bukid”.

The frogs were so good!! We love the arorosep (sea grapes), they taste just like the ocean!
