I absotively love Watch Dogs games. Legion had alot of great ideas and was beautifully rendered. WD has been one of my favorite ip since the 1st game hope hope they make a new one in the future.
The problem with the series is that Legion went too far into the future. Where are they going to go from there? It’ll basically be a cyberpunk series. It should go back to what WD1 did best- exploring emerging technologies and the dangers of it. The vigilantism aspect as well. I think retcon Legion, go back to just past WD1 and make Defalt the main character.
i just want a watch dogs 1 remake with all removed features and features from all the sequels somehow incorporated except for that dumb npc idea, i wabt aiden and his story fleshed out and expanded, he should be the soul protagonist, marcus was cool but I like the darker tone, we had so many advancements in tech since 2013 and people don't realise how spyed on they are by corporations, i always founds this franchise to have massive potential but ubisoft isn't the same company
WD1 full remaster with more to do and more story etc would be absolutely insane. Especially considering how rightfully appreciated the game is now, and how good the open world was back then and tbh, still is now.
Same, I really hope they aren't trying something brand new or guessing the future. It might not be the popular opinion, but WD1 was too violent, having played it after I got introduced to the series with WD2. Playing on previous scandals is also a possibility. I'm also not against "guessing" a bit on the already determined future if it makes for a good story.
Honestly, we shouldn't go around completely villifying WD2 and WD:L, good features they had still can be taken together from good features of WD1 to form the perfect WD4.
I'd love for watch dogs 4 to take place in between watch dogs 2 and legion and to take place in Houston and that works since in watch dogs 2 it was confirmed that one of the major ctOS hubs is there
I absolutely loved Watch dogs 1 my favorite watch dogs game, i absolutely hated Watch dogs 2 and i found watch dogs legion to be decent. I am definitely watching the movie and i really want a 4th watch dogs game.
I'm hopeful too. I want another Watch Digs with the original's tone. I liked the futuristic setting of Legion, but wouldn't care if the next went back to modern day.
As good as WD2 was, I really wish we got more playtime as Aiden so we could really flesh out his character more. Regardless, the first two games were AWESOME!
I gotta praise the modding community for keeping this series alive, especially WD1. I only discovered it a few years back on a sale and I loved it. It had everything I wanted in a game. I just recently started playing it again to scratch the itch, but the enemy AI has gotta be my favorite. As far as their coordination on attacks and their ridiculously funny dialogue, especially when you hack their phones with sound in front of other members and they get so annoyed. The Fixer faction has to be my favorite though and eventhough they share lines with CToS guards and Pawnee Militia, they never fail to make me laugh, even if they are ruthless killers...they can also be pretty stupid sometimes.😂
I miss Watch_Dogs so much, it would be a dream come true to see a game like the first one. I personally loved it the most and it would be sick to see those gun executions in modern day I think. The real John Wick simulator lol. P.S. Glad to see you making content again!
I'm replaying Legion now and I'm really enjoying it the second time around. Playing mostly as Aiden, Wrench, and Mina Sidhu makes the game a lot more enjoyable. My initial problem was how choppy the dialogue is and how no character has any real depth. While depth is certainly still and issue, having these mentioned characters certainly helped with the dialogue. I loved the gameplay in legion but was definitely upset about some features from WD2 being missing. Things like car on demand, the music app, and etc. were really nice quality of life things. I would love for there to be another game in the series, but Ubisoft definitely needs to stop with their copy/paste game development.
They'll see what GTA 6 brings to the table and then rip some features off for the next game. That is unless till then the whole company is disbanded or taken over by someone or whatever. But if the current people who are running the company stay, for sure they'll see what GTA 6 brings and then make a Watchdogs 4.
Tokyo, Seoul, or Shanghai would make for great, immersive settings. Keep it modern and present though, so it's more relatable. As already advanced cities, you'd get the modern tone with a futuristic vibe.
Tbh when it comes to Avatar I expected it to do somewhat decent but I never expected it to have huge numbers or get anywhere close. I kinda figured that the main ppl that will be playing Avatar actually enjoyed the movies or the world but nothing more. Ofc there will be those newcomers who are new to the universe as a whole. One thing that didnt help was the fact that they were making it for so long so mostly everybody forgot about it. I think I was 17 when they started and it didnt come out until I was 2 months away from turning 24 so thats long enough for ppl to forget. I will say this though Avatar is definitely one of the better games that Ubisoft has released lately definitely.
I hope they make another game in a year or two. Story and world like the second one with multiple protagonists, but mini games from the first one like Chess puzzles, digital trips, and drinking game. The latter would provide a nice respite from the main campaign.
I'm sure you remember the older leak where it was said that Ubisoft Montreal is working on a fourth Watch Dogs called “Watch Dogs Anomaly”, which has two characters to choose from and is set in Boston. I still think a single male character would be even better here to create an even stronger common thread. What do you think?
I enjoyed all 3 games but WD1 and WD2 are my favorites. That being said, I do wish WD2 had the same tone as WD1 (or at least transistion into it from the second half of the game), but it obviously still struck a chord with most people.
I honestly have come around to the tone of Watch Dogs 2, i feel like it’s perfect for San Francisco and the story they wanted to tell. That being said, the dialogue was atrocious at times and the villains were some of the worst in the series.
Honestly if they really wanted to give us options for player characters they could give a character creator and do set voices kinda like cyberpunk or they could give us a team of characters to play as. I wouldn't be against a single character to play as I had fun with the 3 games they gave us however I did pretty much play as a single character the entire time in Legion except when it forced me to play as someone else. I did play as Wrench and Aiden exclusively on a second play through.
I went back couple months ago and played it. It’s the last mission we’re Dameon Takes control of the system and you have to go to 3 different spots and hack them while being chased.
Let's look at the facts 1) There was a pre-launch Watch_Dogs ARG for each game that's barely been scratched 2) Given the premise and the actual rise of Cybersecurity in the Zeidgheist, it's the perfect time to refresh the franchise 3) 13 - Detroit needs to be considered as a setting 4) Living_City has done more to restore the good faith than any movie or mini-series ever could 5) SONY Vegas being promoted by UBIcentral I when UBI itself has been eaten alive by ROKO and their WORSHIPERS This is astroturf and I am so stoked to see what's next
Here's my take on WDL: The game had potential, especially because of the way the game started with an MI agent, but adding characters that are strangers WITHOUT ANY personality... yes, they have ethnicity, work occupation and specialty but without any human aspects attached to any individual person you recruit, it just feels like that person is just a shell.
Honestly GTA’s graphics and physics feel more realistic, but for an actual lively world I play watch dogs. Plus the bounty system in WD2 is really fuckin neat. Also I’d love to see a Watch Dogs game set in Seattle. It’s a really good setting due to all the tech in the region and the west coast vibe worked really really well in WD2.
Watch_Dogs 2 and Watch_Dogs Legion, are still the some of the greatest games in this genre, I would go back to just to be in that world. I love these games so much, I do hope that Ubisoft can make another game, some time sooner rather than later.
It's a shame that consoles versions of wathdogs 1 and watchdog 2 didn't get remastered. Playing on PS5 or Xbox Series X with 900p resoliution and zero anti aliasing is just ridiculous.
This really could just be as simple as a patch that detects it being ran in backwards compatibility mode on newer console to set the resolution to 4k and/or unlock framerate to 60. If they don't want to make a remaster, that's everything that had to be done as in my opinion the game still looks good. Something as simple as this shouldn't even cost them too much, but they probably don't care as it is Ubisoft after all, and they know that a patch like this would not make them any money.
@@mruczyslaw50 agreed, but i believe watch dogs 2 will bring a lot of players if they release a patch or remastered it, cuz it's a really great game by them.
I think we need Ubisoft to sell watch dogs for any hope or just pray the movie their making does well there’s so much lore potential especially with the council of daves concept
Legion did fail in the context of the Watch Dogs series, and the previous 2 games. In the context of recent Ubisoft games as a whole, then sure it didn't fail.
Im currently replaying watchdogs series always has me coming back i wish the next in the series is Cairo,Egypt. But since Ubisofts less serious tone I wonder if they'd be able to tell a story that does justice to heavier war themes.
I get what you're saying abt game movie bad =/= no more games, but like... watch dogs would be a really fun movie concept if done well, pleaaaaaase Ubisoft make a better movie this time.
Especially 1 has great potential for a drive 2011 style film I just hope they will stay true to the game, over the top violence mixed with slow moody moments
Ubisoft should either Remake the Series by Reworking WD1 or create a Sequel between or after WD1 and 2 with Aiden, Marcus and another new character as protagonists. Personally, I think WD Legion is pretty bad, I have never bothered to finish it.
I felt Watch Dogs never nailed the proper tone for the series. The dark, gritty vibe of the first was clearly inspired by Batman, in the post Dark Knight era. And the second pretty much had a throw everything at the wall to see what sticks approach. I preferred WD1’s tone, the vigilante angle was interesting but not ideal IMO and WD2’s goofiness and inclusion of guns never made sense to me. I always felt this series would have been better as a heist game. The gameplay would focus more on infiltrating large environments, similar to the Hitman series, to either plant or steal information. Guns could be included but not the focus, again similar to Hitman. And new areas or intel, in the environment, would only be accessible through hacking.
Honestly i Think the "right way" to manage this franchise its definitely bring more realistic gameplay, beacuse thats the thing really make a different of another games like gta, more damage with guns, explosion, fall's, car crashes for enemys and the player, a better IA, and a realistic handling. If ubi make this im sure they wake up again.
It makes no sense killing a franchise where at 2 games sold more than 10 million copies each one even with mixed reception. It just shows that the potential is there and they can't just "kill and buried" this series because of one bad game. Watch Dogs must continue.
realistically don't know how many sales it would bring in even if they combined all 3 into one game. i feel like time/money would be better spent on just making a brand new game although not gonna lie, would love to play all of them on the switch haha
When I played the first watchdogs I was super interested in Aiden Pearce. The story surrounding him as this vigilante who was such a good hacker made me amazed. In the second watchdogs game Marcus and wrench were my favorite two characters. Felt like a bromance between those. As for watchdogs 3 or watchdogs legion I saw that they didn’t focus on any characters. Instead you can be anyone even an old lady. When I got the tillage editor I was happy to see Aiden Pearce and Wrench again however this time they’re much older in the third game. If they wanted to make a new watchdogs game they could do character creation and maybe build your own unique hacker but idk🤷🏽♂️.
And scrap the zombies. Just throw it out and forget about it (or if they really want to, they can make it into a like robot apocalypse mode or something like that.
If the Ubisoft doesn't release concrete numbers, with which they brag, it didn't fulfill the expectations by Ubisoft. Simple as that. Ubisoft making a TV series (or movie? Dunno) in the WD Universe could just be an attempt by Ubisoft to copy CD Project Red. Cyberpunk 2077's release was... mediocre at best, sales weren't good, but they pulled through improving the game, releasing the Edgerunners TV series and that revitalized the interest in the game and sales. So if a Watch Dogs Series or Film gets released and is succesful, Ubi could utilize it to make another Watch Dogs. Question is, looking at several of their other releases, including Watch Dogs: Legion, if it will be any good. Everyone makes mistakes, we're all fallible, including Ubi Devs. The Main Question is, if they actually learn from the mistakes and don't repeat them.
I think they should've stuck with Aiden Pearce and carried on with him, switching characters wasn't necessary in my opinion. The way that WD1 ended could've easily been a sequal with the same character. And then WD3 ruined everything. I'm from the UK and that wasn't a good representation.
Ubisoft just do watch dogs nyc with an expanded division map and ofc drivable cars. Idk why devs spend so much time making a map and not use it more than once
Tbh the similar player levels and sales between new games like Star Wars Outlaws or Avatar and WD Legion says more about the terrible performance of Ubisoft lately than it does about the success of WD Legion
If they make a watch dogs 4 main character should be default and showing how he became default like he’s a lone wolf maybe he has a couple friends he talks to maybe a little bit more darker tone would be cool
As a fan of sitting back and manipulating AI against AI, I love WD2. I love sending in cops and gang members into hostile territory and watching the chaos unfold from a safe distance.
the only reason it fell off because they lack put much more in the game as in like new safehouse hq acess online more pvp mission drone etc battle pass bundle and skin for every battlepass
Why no official graphics update for PC and current gen? Update the Lightning, bump up the textures based on the E3 Demo (yes, that's a wound that won't mend easily) for WD 1. And if they want WD 4 to be DEI i don't see a problem with having a story with a preset character that has a fixed name like Aiden and have the same story with a customized character and associated scripts but still the same storyline for diversities sake. They just have to replace the fixed Name with a neutral "You" or make use of a NLP Text-to-Speech or NLG Dialogue Management so that players always are talked to with the name they choose. Would even be funnier as this is a meta-joke inside the WD Universe. Maybe just hire Voice actors, record them and train your Gen AI to just sound like that and properly compensate the actors
I wouldn't say that a 4th game can't work with multiple protagonists, just not what Legion was doing: on paper Play as anyone sounded cool, and there certainly are interesting things to the concept, certainly personally it made me more concious of the lives of others while playing because there could be actual cosequence, but ultimately the procedural nature of the recruits is what kept the story very surface level. Also, the number of scenarios where, with a bit of prompting, anyone is willing to join a hacktivist/resistance group like DedSec is kinda slim pickings, making it harder for them to redo without retreading what Legion did. We could have multiple protagonists, but make them _characters_, the way I see things, multiple protagonists could be one of two ways, #1 No recruitment: A setup kinda like 2 where we follow a group of DedSec members, but instead of just playing as the one guy (aside from the final mission) we can play as any of them, with specific takes on the cutscenes tailored to the personalities of the individual members. #2 Recruitment, but instead of anyone being playable there are specific people that DedSec believe could join their cause, with somewhat of a branching narrative depending on who is on your team, and possibly factors such as two potential recruits hate eachother so if you recruit one you can't recruit the other, so you have to pick the one you need most. This is not to say I would object to going back to a single protagonist, but I think that a team based game still has potential, if implimented in the right way.
I wish one of these games will come to the switch it doesn't matter for me because I love all three here's how I rank them Watch Dogs 1 Watch Dogs Legion and Watch Dogs 2
Watch Dogs 1: Storytelling and Ambience Watch Dogs 2: Mechanics and Gadgets Watch Dogs 3: nothing to use... Result: the best Watch Dogs to continue the franchise...
For Legion being a sci-fi / future centered game, it was weird how it almost felt like it came short of today's possibilities and technology. The selling points of the game still is there and should be optimised to the next. Well, obviously. But the sci-fi dystopic scene sort of took away the relatability in immersion. The next game should be set within 5 years of release, either forward or backwards, or at least an alternate reality, while still keeping the centrality of revolution and uproar, be it in venezuela, singapore or somewhere in africa, by keeping its political influence. Idk, a 4th iteration has lots of potential, but there is no way I'm pre-ordering or even paying full price after Legion's launch and hollow feeling.
I agree with you on the WatchDogs 4 game 'n I think the number would look the best as a Roman Numeral but that's just me probably For Example: "WatchDogs IV" instead of just plain "WatchDogs 4" Also I'd love to see a WatchDogs Movie that's focused on Aiden Pearce, I even asked about a WatchDogs movie, didn't learn much about it though just something along the lines that some of the developers or the one who was responding to me at the moment was interested in the idea of a "WatchDogs Movie" as well My personal opinion on tackling the "WatchDogs Movie" is the route of "On Location" just like they did for Michael Fasbenders' "Assassin's Creed" movie 'n the translation from game to film was smoother or better than the other one with Giovanni Auditore I believe that WatchDogs Movie would be better shot On Location in Chicago, IL.

I really like the driving physics too. It's fun and arcadey. I don't understand the heavy criticism. I don't be seeing that said about Sleeping Dogs or the Just Cause games which has worse driving physics imo.
@@MerlautJones I agree, when I started Watch Dogs I thought the driving would be terrible, because many people constantly mentioned that the driving physics are awful. Truly I have a blast driving around, since I feel that I understand the driving physics, and I am able to control the car.
@@MerlautJones The driving sucks but thats what i like about it
It takes actual skill to drive and aiden is supposed to be a experienced escape driver
Once you finally learn how to do drifts and drive without hitting anything you feel badass
I absotively love Watch Dogs games. Legion had alot of great ideas and was beautifully rendered. WD has been one of my favorite ip since the 1st game hope hope they make a new one in the future.
I want a sequel that was more like WD2 than WDL
Such a waste of potential bro
Honestly, we shouldn't go around completely villifying WD2 and WD:L, good features they had still can be taken together from good features of WD1 to form the perfect WD4.
Looking forward to your future videos :D
I'd love for watch dogs 4 to take place in between watch dogs 2 and legion and to take place in Houston and that works since in watch dogs 2 it was confirmed that one of the major ctOS hubs is there
Legion can be really fun playin in permadeath mode
Really nice video, sad how the hate from the first one carried over to WD 2 and it didn't have much love, one of the best games, both 1 & 2.
A Watch Dogs set in South Korea 2040 during winter! Night time with the neon city reflecting everywhere would be 🤤
Tired of US cities in games tbf
I thought the 3rd was going to be in Japan but that your comment makes want it in Korea. With the old format there is potential there.
I heard they were remaking the series
starting with
1.Watch Dogs
2.Heard Dogs
3.Sniff Dogs
4.Lick Dogs
5.Felt Dogs and
6.Sense Dogs
Watchdogs is the best plus I almost look like Aiden Pierce lol
I just finished the game just now. As soon I booted up this app, this video just popped up first on recommended. It's not a coincidence I tell ya
I absolutely loved Watch dogs 1 my favorite watch dogs game, i absolutely hated Watch dogs 2 and i found watch dogs legion to be decent. I am definitely watching the movie and i really want a 4th watch dogs game.
5:36 What is that clip from?
Literally my favorite part of this video was going back and looking at all the marketing assets haha
ruclips.net/video/cgKl2tXUsSI/видео.html
I'm hopeful too. I want another Watch Digs with the original's tone. I liked the futuristic setting of Legion, but wouldn't care if the next went back to modern day.
As good as WD2 was, I really wish we got more playtime as Aiden so we could really flesh out his character more. Regardless, the first two games were AWESOME!
WD1 is a masterpiece and we will play as long as the servers allow. All the best WD People😎
I gotta praise the modding community for keeping this series alive, especially WD1.
Happy to see ubicentral is back uploading Ubisoft news 🙌 always my favorite source for ubisoft news 🙏
thanks for the kind words! gonna try to upload more frequently when i have some free time :)
That first game is truly impressive! I find myself replaying WD_1 every year.. What a cool concept bro!
They'll see what GTA 6 brings to the table and then rip some features off for the next game. That is unless till then the whole company is disbanded or taken over by someone or whatever. But if the current people who are running the company stay, for sure they'll see what GTA 6 brings and then make a Watchdogs 4.
*coughs* rumored watch dogs anomaly
If we had Watch Dogs 1 camera and “feel” with Watch Dogs 2 world mechanics, that would be the perfect game damn near lol
watch dogs 1 and 2 are my favourite games
A Paris-set watchdogs could be cool with the catacombs. Maybe Vancouver if you wanted to follow one of the OG protagonists
2:47 crazy how wd2 has a steady count of 700-1000 players mostly and legion barely has any higher than the first game lmao
the name of the channel is ubicentral but all of the vids are watch dogs related, i guess this is the franchise you like the best and thats fine
Watchdogs will always have a special place in my heart.
Love this video. Miss the hell out of watch dogs
The streets need a new Watch Dogs game.
Tokyo, Seoul, or Shanghai would make for great, immersive settings. Keep it modern and present though, so it's more relatable. As already advanced cities, you'd get the modern tone with a futuristic vibe.
A WD game in Tokyo would be INSANEEE
They need to higher who ever works on the trailers for the games for the movie. Like Alberto Mielgo
I didn't know they were making a Watch Dogs movie. hopefully it won't suck
They actually announced a movie over 10 years ago! But yeah they finally made it happen. Fingers crossed it’s good!
I went back couple months ago and played it. It’s the last mission we’re Dameon Takes control of the system and you have to go to 3 different spots and hack them while being chased.
I liked all 3. Even loved all the books and the Japanese manga.
Let's look at the facts
1) There was a pre-launch Watch_Dogs ARG for each game that's barely been scratched
2) Given the premise and the actual rise of Cybersecurity in the Zeidgheist, it's the perfect time to refresh the franchise
3) 13 - Detroit needs to be considered as a setting
4) Living_City has done more to restore the good faith than any movie or mini-series ever could
5) SONY Vegas being promoted by UBIcentral I when UBI itself has been eaten alive by ROKO and their WORSHIPERS
This is astroturf and I am so stoked to see what's next
Here's my take on WDL:
The game had potential, especially because of the way the game started with an MI agent, but adding characters that are strangers WITHOUT ANY personality... yes, they have ethnicity, work occupation and specialty but without any human aspects attached to any individual person you recruit, it just feels like that person is just a shell.
I think itd be a major fail if ubisoft dropped this series
Legion did fail in the context of the Watch Dogs series, and the previous 2 games. In the context of recent Ubisoft games as a whole, then sure it didn't fail.
In replaying Watch Dogs 1 now with some graphics mods to make it look newer despite some bugs it brings. Mainly no guiding arrows to waypoints.
3:34 what video is this from?
Im currently replaying watchdogs series always has me coming back i wish the next in the series is Cairo,Egypt. But since Ubisofts less serious tone I wonder if they'd be able to tell a story that does justice to heavier war themes.
still love to replay this watch dogs 1&2 on steam PC 2024, i play this both before on ps4 day 1 released
I love the Legion game. It's actually very good.
I get what you're saying abt game movie bad =/= no more games, but like... watch dogs would be a really fun movie concept if done well, pleaaaaaase Ubisoft make a better movie this time.
Especially 1 has great potential for a drive 2011 style film
I just hope they will stay true to the game, over the top violence mixed with slow moody moments
I really like Legion. If it didn't regularly corrupt saves on PC, I'd still be playing it.
*Honestly WDL had a great map and so much potential*
I love WATCH DOGS 1, it's a shame there will never be a remake for PS5
I would love to see watch dogs 2 on the switch
realistically don't know how many sales it would bring in even if they combined all 3 into one game. i feel like time/money would be better spent on just making a brand new game although not gonna lie, would love to play all of them on the switch haha
I feel like Legion such have been a spinoff game and the next WD have focused on Aiden instead
Watch me goon dawg
HUH
Brainrot
AYO ☠️ you on the wrong app dog
The first Watch Dogs and Assassins Creed Unity had overcompensated animations... and that's not a bad thing.
the only reason it fell off because they lack put much more in the game as in like new safehouse hq acess online more pvp mission drone etc battle pass bundle and skin for every battlepass
With this kind of universe. There is so much possibility to make compelling stories or even side stories. How do you screw up that?
We could have multiple protagonists, but make them _characters_, the way I see things, multiple protagonists could be one of two ways,
#1 No recruitment: A setup kinda like 2 where we follow a group of DedSec members, but instead of just playing as the one guy (aside from the final mission) we can play as any of them, with specific takes on the cutscenes tailored to the personalities of the individual members.
Watch Dogs 1: Storytelling and Ambience
Watch Dogs 2: Mechanics and Gadgets
Watch Dogs 3: nothing to use...
I agree with you on the WatchDogs 4 game 'n I think the number would look the best as a Roman Numeral but that's just me probably
For Example: "WatchDogs IV" instead of just plain "WatchDogs 4"
Also I'd love to see a WatchDogs Movie that's focused on Aiden Pearce, I even asked about a WatchDogs movie, didn't learn much about it though just something along the lines that some of the developers or the one who was responding to me at the moment was interested in the idea of a "WatchDogs Movie" as well
My personal opinion on tackling the "WatchDogs Movie" is the route of "On Location" just like they did for Michael Fasbenders' "Assassin's Creed" movie 'n the translation from game to film was smoother or better than the other one with Giovanni Auditore
I believe that WatchDogs Movie would be better shot On Location in Chicago, IL.
