Yeah bro your last show was epic... loved hearing from someone who's not all out in the spot lights with the public with their books and stuff.. gives more of a insight to the majority of the special forces and armed forces community
All 15 of the people I have known who were hospitalized/died with COVID had pre-existing heart/liver/kidney/lung conditions that treatments were halted for COVID diagnosis
Really looking forward to this one. My EMT experience is laughable compared to these guys and listening to there stories and how they were able to pull off some of the shit they did in the field with bullets, bombs, and bad guys all around them is fascinating!
Love your work Mike. I look forward to a new Mime Drop hat this year for Christmas. My wife gave me one last year and it came with a signed card from you Mike. It was my favorite gift and your personal touch really made it special.
Fantastic interview. I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your shows, but this one is especially great. As a guy of a certain mileage, it's nice to listen to other guys that have stomped over some of the same ground and obstacles share their experiences. Thanks for your service ,and your current work.
What another awesome podcast. I literally just finished watching Hunting Hitler on DVD where Mike Simpson has a major role in Season 3. What a true professional !!
Hey big Rit,thanks for educating the doc about special interest groups. Sometimes if you stay inside the government box to long you miss all that is real. ( retired agent).
I love that you're a voice for the dying breed of man in america. I'm 31 and still hold these opinions but I see it even in my generation of people that are weak minded.
I am thinking Mike and Mike need to write a book, Supplements and Diet for Dummies Over Forty. I get lost on the whole science behind things, but could use a solid road map.
Cut sugar out of your diet. That's one big plus I wasn't even trying to lose weight and I lost like 25 lb in 8 months just cutting sugar out of my diet
As far as base names, leave it alone. More black veterans and and service members are proud of their time on said bases than liberals are truly offended.
The bases should be renamed after heroes( of all races) and not loser confederate generals like Bragg and Hood. Audie Murphy(white), Roy Benavidez,(Hispanic) Dory Miller(Black), etc all should be bases. I am as anti woke and libertarian as it gets but as veteran there are 1000x better people to name those bases for. I also think we should name a base after a GWOT veteran Staff Sergeant Cashe a black NCO who ran into a burning tank to save his guys and died and was denied the medal of honor until this year should have a base. I think replacing Polk with Cashe would fit.
Do you not understand what the name Fort Bragg means to so many Soldiers their families and people that grew up around the base!!???? 4 soon to be 5 Generations of men in my family have Served at Bragg, it’s a family tradition for us and so many others. Why don’t you and every other ass out there start focusing on the real issues plaguing this Country instead of worrying about the name of a f*#king Army Base!! Move on!!!!
This guy is awesome. Maybe sometime y’all could interview my sister to assist y’all doing awesome medical stuff. She’s a squared-away 29 year old PA who works at an ER in inner-city San Antonio. We’re from just about 20 minutes away from Georgetown.
I need to start watching more of your podcasts! They're way more useful and knowledgeable then some of these other popular ones. Thank you, I've learned quite a bit, a little bit more on the whole food espect, which I knew a fair bit of it but the vegetable oil, I was not aware of.
Canola oil is rapeseed oil from Canada, hence the Can in Canola. Called canola for marketing purposes. Sounds better than rapeseed oil. Should be called age in a bottle. Toast in the morning will spike your blood sugar level more than a snickers bar. Read the book "Wheat Belly", if you haven't already. Do yourself a favor and take the Pinner food intolerance test. You may be really surprised to find out some foods you eat all the time might be actually hurting you. Keep up the great podcasts Mike.
You have great guests and have a very good way of bringing topics out of your guests. Mike the big question I have is how long does it take for the tech and gear that the development group has , to pass down to the other seal groups ?
Per former commandant Krulak : “one day you are going to retire and the MC/Navy won’t be there for you anymore…you need to have something to go home to (take care of yourself and family)”
Really enjoyed this . I like how you both are realistic in a sense . Glad I’m not the only one who thinks this government is a joke and have like minded people .
Bro.... learned hard I didn't know half of what I thought going from military medicine to civilian. Also knew more than I should have. Difficult trans to college for sure.
He made a video about it already. It’s a John Deere hat, his father worked for John Deere for over 40 years and it’s a hat Mike gave to Glen Dougherty during one of their deployments to Iraq and Glen wore it all the time, had it with him when he was killed in Benghazi.
I have a question on supplements. If one takes steroids at young age itll stop natural production is the case for other stuff such as amino acids and stuff like that?
No… even with steroids- you need to be cycling for years and years for it to have a significant impact on your natural testosterone levels, but even with that said- your testosterone naturally decreases over time after the age of 18-20 anyways. Most guys by the time they’re 30 years old have low testosterone.
Mike I'm with you at cry babies are us... I see this as a part of Our history as Americans ... Move on.... Great interview... Happy to hear about the book...
46:00 My understanding is that Confederate names are part of Reconstruction and bringing the South back into the Union by honoring their generals. They are a part of this country's history and need to be remembered. I'm not even Southern, I like history.
Great podcast ....really enjoyed this one....Mike is such a cool guy, and one would never guess his level of expertise....love all your podcasts Mike Ritland...keep up the good work....oh yeah, I too am so tired of hearing something I said or wore or did or display offends someone!!!! Good grief, I am so tired of these rainbow eating care bears and do gooders!!! They really need to direct all that energy into real problems this world has today.
I think eventually it's going to become a mandatory thing for all men to do at least a 2-year stent in the military. I hope it doesn't come to that, but it isn't looking good
1:10:23 yeeeaaahhhh standard 855 is not a great round out of short barrels. It's a round that's the optimized for the longer 20" barrels. When you start getting down into the 11.5, 10.3" range you loose so much velocity that the round doesnt have enough energy when it hits flesh to do all the yawing and fragmentation to do damage. Not really suprising to hear that units didn't have budgets to run exclusively 262 out of their short's
🔥🔥🔥
Shawn, Your newest podcast was 🔥🔥🔥!! Every single episode is a must-watch/listen!
Yeah bro your last show was epic... loved hearing from someone who's not all out in the spot lights with the public with their books and stuff.. gives more of a insight to the majority of the special forces and armed forces community
@@brandonblackfyre5783 For sure! I've served with some absolute pipe hitters, and I dont know of one that's released a book or a autobiography..
We cannot whitewash or erase our history.
I'll be getting that book Mike. 🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍🇺🇸👍
All 15 of the people I have known who were hospitalized/died with COVID had pre-existing heart/liver/kidney/lung conditions that treatments were halted for COVID diagnosis
Hot damn we miss you man
Really looking forward to this one. My EMT experience is laughable compared to these guys and listening to there stories and how they were able to pull off some of the shit they did in the field with bullets, bombs, and bad guys all around them is fascinating!
"Beginning of the end"... I fully agree.
I love Mike's rants... He's such a boss!
Word. It's like he's in my brain.
Love your work Mike. I look forward to a new Mime Drop hat this year for Christmas. My wife gave me one last year and it came with a signed card from you Mike. It was my favorite gift and your personal touch really made it special.
Great podcast and discussion, definitely enjoyed his perspective on things.

You have been such a blessing to my life brother. Semper Fi... thank you so much for everything. I love my Malinois so much.
Fantastic interview.
I have thoroughly enjoyed all of your shows, but this one is especially great. As a guy of a certain mileage, it's nice to listen to other guys that have stomped over some of the same ground and obstacles share their experiences.

Hey big Rit,thanks for educating the doc about special interest groups. Sometimes if you stay inside the government box to long you miss all that is real. ( retired agent).
One of the best C*vid conversations I have heard.
Another dang good show brother Mike! God bless you both! Keep it up!

Thanks for getting Mike on! He has a great story and a very educated, informed, and nuanced perspective on current events.
Great talks and valid points from both parties. Great info here
I've been waiting for a new mike drop podcast. Best military podcast around!
As a 30 year Emergency Room staff member I can relate to the stories and pranks...great show!
This is a great treat! I missed this one
This podcast should be far more popular. Love the new digs my man
Good logic from Dr Simpson. The book is excellent.
Great Cast Mikey
Fantabulous interview
Preach brother. Love it
Mike's new podcast studio is legit!!!

Woot woot
It’s like being offered a tall glass of ice cold water, after walking through the Sahara. Thanks Mike 🙏
Already killing it
Awesome 👏
I am thinking Mike and Mike need to write a book, Supplements and Diet for Dummies Over Forty. I get lost on the whole science behind things, but could use a solid road map.
For a holes. Since Mike uses that term lol. Could be a hit book. Half comedy half legit information.
@@MachineGunPepe Great idea. Sold!
I like to call him Meat
Cut sugar out of your diet. That's one big plus I wasn't even trying to lose weight and I lost like 25 lb in 8 months just cutting sugar out of my diet
Watch the episode with Jeff Nichols, its both about diet and exercise.
"Green tip? Yeah, I think that's a shitty round."
Lmao... Every. Single. Podcast. 😂

@@MachineGunPepe or you can stop bitching and just leave base names alone and name new installations after heroes. Apparently you are woke.

I agree with Sergeant Cashe but like the guy that commented before me, we can use his name for a new Base or installation, leave Bragg be
Its not about about the blacks, its about erasing history and heritage. We see the same destructive mindset in Europe. Psychological warfare.
1984.
Mike had me laughing right at the start. Great interview.

I love it
ordering the book
Damn fine writing on the team dog food add! I don't even have a dog and I want to buy that shit lol
I was at COP Margah in 2011, that’s in his AO.
Both Mikes have great personalities
Houston Checking in
Some people who aren't vaccinated and get covid don't have severe symptoms too. My sister wasn't vaccinated, got covid and she barely noticed.
You guys are making me feel better. 49, get kicked in the knee, took a year to feel almost normal, 😆. Not like being 25…
Glad to see a dr who knows what he is talking about and mike seems to be unhappy with other mike responses to cov 19 subjects
Thumbs up for Ritland going against the grain and speaking up. Book sold.
68 years old. Just bought your book. We'll see.
This dude is nearly 60!
How come when i listen to this on Itunes they seem to speed it up so you guys sound different.
The Mask rant was Your best Moment ever Mike!
I'm glad you stand your ground/belief on vaxxes Mike Ritland. As I've spent thousands of hours of research on ALL sides of the shit.
I been waiting for an new show same with the Shawn Ryan show

Love the new setup! Is there somewhere on here you talk about the center piece ball cap. My assumption is theres probably a strong story to that.
