Dinosaur World Review - Roaring Success or Dino-Bore?

Board games... find a way, and Pandasaurus Games has found a way back to the dino park genre with Dinosaur World, a reimplementation of Dinosaur Island. Now, in addition to letting guests into the park, you also give them tours! But be careful - they may get hurt, or worse, bored. Now the question is will YOU get bored of Dinosaur World if you play it too much?

Thank you for the review! We have really enjoyed this one and totally concur with the horrible fiddliness of the boredom tokens. We now have small dice in replace of them and oh-so-much better! I do think you were too kind with the component critiques. We also found the card stock too thin, misprints on player aids & rulbook plus the score tracker should’ve been double layered like the player boards. Other-wise spot on review.😁

I got small dice to replace the boredom tokens. I have played once solo and enjoyed it, took lots of space ☺️

This is exactly how I feel about the game. I prefer island more especially with the expansion. I definitely get the programming vibes from this game

Great review. I'll be interested what you thought about Rawr'n write. I think it does everything the two bigger game does, but in a shorter and moree streamlined form. So for me it replaced the two bigger games surprisingly :).

2. Ice Age
3. Hybrid
Water and Ice Age are much closer together, both improved the game a lot and I wouldn't want to play without at least one of them.

Could you add the Dino escape variant to the multiplayer game.

The Dino movement is based on the solo deck, so I guess someone could announce the movement or everyone can have one card each. This would increase the challenge and time of the game. But it would be more thematic.
Basically, on the card, there would be something like an arrow coming off one side of a hexagon. For each dinosaur if there is a tile built in the direction of the arrow, then dino escapes to that hex. You do this a second time (with a second hex/arrow.)
There’s also deductions at the end for escaped dinos and tiles can’t work if an escaped dino is on it. Etc etc.

So I have DI. I've been enjoying it. I have been mostly playing solo. I've been looking at getting DW. But I don't know if I need them both. 😕
